You really get to enjoy an immersive, interactive experience on the farm. There is something for everyone, from interactive gardens and live animals. The best for a cute little DIY wine tasting. You can bring your own charcuterie platters, which is what we did to go along with our tastings. They have tasting room called the Purple Wolf Vineyard where you can purchase your portable tastings, wine, beer and slushy flights . I had just come from a hair appointment down the street and on my way back to my car, I noticed Sangria advertised on the mini sandwich board outside. I'm a HUGE fan of a glass of fruity Sangria on a hot day! The fact that it was Happy Hour with $5 glasses made it even easier to draw me inside!! When I explained this was my first visit, they explained the Curio concept, the various areas for sitting, sipping and gathering as well as the Curio Card process. They even had a small but really intriguing menu of various snacks, from charcuterie to flatbread and even dessert. The menu changes a couple times a month, making me want to plan more visits! The staff offered me sips of each so I could decide on a Sangria flavor. Despite not being a Moscato fan, I chose the Moscato Mule Sangria. It was light, refreshing and had the Moscow Mule flavors with the added sweetness of Moscato wine. I wandered into the cellar to explore more wine offerings and wound up running into fellow educators and their friends I had never met. We chatted like we were catching up and laughed about shared birthdays and teaching!! They invited me to hang with them, but I had to get home for Dog Mom Duty. We exchanged numbers so we could plan another "run-in" downtown SOON! If you haven't visited Curio, I HIGHLY recommend it. Bring a friend, or plan on making a few. The service is wonderful, with staff being very knowledgeable about the wines. What I love is the fact that you can taste as many wines as you want to once you've loaded up your Curio card. You can also choose a 2oz or 3oz pour instead if you already know what you want.
