Pictured is the Premium Hearthstone Signature Pizza (k style). There was an extremelyyyyyy thick layer of cheese so if you like cheese, that's good. However, despite my love for cheese, it felt like too much. I'm a fan of stuffed crust so that was a plus but because of the enormous amount of cheese already on top of the pizza, it didn't pair well. I also think the overall pizza dough was a bit lacking. Kind of soggy and chewy. The item that I would really recommend is the corn dog!! Interesting that a pizza place would offer corn dogs but they did it beautifully. By the way, I have had pizzas in New York's Little Italy and in Italy. Hearthstone know what they are doing. This place is now a Korean pizza place and I couldn't be happier as the pizza is absolutely unique and delicious! I was so excited to discover there was a closer Korean pizza place to me as the only other business I know that makes Korean pizza is downtown. I decided to get the Premium Goldrich Pizza (red sauce, extra mozzarella, red/green onions & pepper, corn, olive, mushroom, bacon, ham sweet potato mousse and sweet cream cheese) and it was loaded with toppings! The pizza was very heavy and you could tell they definitely don't skimp on the ingredients. It is far more filling than your average pizza and worth the price, in my opinion. I loved the pizza and how the flavors melded together. If you've never tried Korean pizza, you might find it strange to have sweet potato mousse on a pizza. However, it's very popular in Korea and I thought the sweet and salty combination of flavors was delicious. Moreover, they do not skimp on their cheese stuffed crust - far more generously stuffed than any of the chain pizza joints. The staff is very nice and they added a free dip to my order. I would say it's more of a takeout pizza place as the restaurant itself isn't too big. All in all, I will most definitely be ordering from them again and checking out their other yummy pizza offerings. If you're looking to try Korean pizza, I highly recommend this place! read more

This place is listed as "Italian" on here but it is not. You walk in and can tell right away it is not an Italian restaurant because of the odd seating and the corn dogs on the menu. This is "K" Pizza which is not a problem but the listing should be changed. Maybe they have converted to Korean pizza recently? I also remember being told you could load up with as many toppings as you wanted but this was not the case either. I don't get into Port Coquitlam often so not sure when that changed. The pizza was "ok", seemed a little soggy but edible. The staff however were very friendly and super nice and service was quick so for that reason did not give them only 1 star. If you're looking for authentic oven baked Italian pizza, this is not the place to visit. But if you're looking for K Pizza, this may be the place to go! read more

The pizza version of Subway Sandwiches. You pick your size, and type of dough. They press it flat, and slather on your choice of sauce. You can select any toppings you want, or choose from one of their default pizzas (i.e. Hawaiian). Your pizza is then placed in a wood burning oven, and served to you when ready. I was amazed that you can choose as many toppings as you want. If you wanted everything, they'd do it for you. I was equally pleased that they had anchovies. I have such a hard time finding these briny fish, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found them on the menu. They only have two sizes: small and regular. Just stumbled upon this place tonight. I didn't realize it was a pizza place from the outside. It's totally like subway, but for pizza. You can choose already made pizza flavors or make your own. You choose between regular size or small. I chose regular and ate the whole thing. This was the pizza I created: white sauce, bacon bits, ham, mozzarella, olive oil, pineapple, onions and bbq sauce. Ordered the bbq chicken pizza and the mozzarella corndog! Both were good, except I had asked for no olives but with extra onions, and there were no onions on it but instead had mushrooms. As well as I had asked for no sugar on the corndog, but it still had sugar on it, so I wasnt able to eat the whole thing. I would recommend checking the product before leaving, because they even repeated the order back to me, but when I got home it wasnt right. Hearthstone is a custom artisan Pizzeria located in the Poco Place strip mall. They have tons of free parking and a few tables inside if you choose to dine-in. At Hearthstone you pick the toppings as they create the pizza right in front of you, so it's basically the Subway of the pizza world. On this visit I ordered two regular sized custom pizzas the first one had a white sauce, feta, mozzarella, crumbled bacon, pineapple, mushrooms, spinach, red onions, tomatoes & roasted red peppers. The second pizza had red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, mushrooms, pineapple, spinach & garlic topped with fresh oregano and an olive oil drizzle. Both pizzas blew me away. I had no idea how amazing they were going to be. The dough is fresh, light, crispy and extremely tasty. The ingredients are of the highest quality. You'll feel like you're eating a $25 pizza but they are all under $10... did I mention the toppings are unlimited? Well they are! I used to go to an Italian restaurant to pick up a similar style pizza for double the price but NOT ANYMORE! When I want pizza it's Hearthstone all the way! I really can't explain how much I love the pizza at Hearthstone. I am super impressed with the quality of the toppings. The value for the buck at $7 for a small, and $9 for a medium, is amazing. In fact I can't think of a gourmet pizza place that has better value! Tempting to overload a thin crust pizza because there is unlimited toppings. My advice would be 3 toppings or Less. I honestly expected to see cheaper toppings not the highlights like artichoke hearts, anchovies, and fresh made pesto. Normally I'm not an advocate of a pizza crust that has been pressed, or put through a sheeter, but rather prefer the dough to be hand stretched. Honestly the end product turned out amazing... A sort of New York take on neopolitano style pizza. I recommend going the way my youngest daughter did with the vegetarian with garlic and artichoke hearts. Ask them to finish the pizza, after it comes out, with pesto, fresh basil, and green onion... Hey a bit of extra parmesan at the end would be good too. We ordered because we got a lot of good review online. What a disappointment! I do warn you that the pizza is smaller than you think. We order 3 largest with 12" for 9 people. When we picked up, we realized they are too small to feed all. So we had to order 2 extra. Now for pizza I don't see how they are different than others. I think Costco pizza is even better than them. BTW, they are all thin crust pizza, if you don't like this style of pizza, don't even bother. I would not try again. There are better pizza around Coquitlam. read more

If it seems too good to be true, it likely is .... First the good - the kids who run the place greeted me with enthusiasm and were courteous. The place was very clean. That's it. My wife wanted pizza tonight for her special meal so I looked on tripadvisor to find the 'top rated pizza place' in the tri-cities. I have written some reviews for trip advisor and about 75% of them are very positive and they always get accepted, however, when I submit a negative review, less than half of them are accepted ... take that for what you want. Let's add a bit of perspective to the previous reviews. Have our taste buds and our quest for a decent meal fallen so far? If it seems too good to be true, it likely is. I am 65, and have eaten a lot of pizzas in my lifetime. I can not remember a pizza that was as poor as the ones that I had last night. My $12.50 pizza weighed in at a whopping 12 ounces {yes, I weighed it as soon as I got home with it} and was at least 50% flour and water. I tried to encourage the teenager making my pizza that I wanted to have a meal, not a snack, and asked for more toppings to the point that I was embarrassed and he was stingy. This was one of the poorest 'values' in any pizza I have ever had. Now the pizza. Pizza is about the bread, and this bread was awful. It had no flavour - clearly not properly fermented, and the textures was half way between a soda cracker and half cooked dough. A good pizza has a bit of a char on the outside. This was warmed through. Clearly their 'faux' brick oven was not up to the task either. As for taste - the pizza was so salty as to be hardly edible. The toppings were so sparse, the flavour was weak. Each of the three pizzas we tried {meat lovers 'ish', BBQ Chicken - recommended, and Greek} were all too salty and sparsely topped, even when I asked for more. Yes, they say unlimited toppings, however, I think they mean 'unlimited choice of toppings' .... the cheese was totally bland, actually, everything, except the salt was bland. I summary, three 'wispy' pizzas for $37.68, poor flavour, over salted, served by nice kids. Give this one a pass and go to Subway and get more flavour and double food. Like everyone mentioned it is like subway style but pizza. I ordered a regular size pizza and as much toppings as I wanted. From the time I ordered and the time the pizza was ready was about 7-10 mins. The service was swift but I must say the regular pizza was a bit small for one person. The thin crust was not my thing. It tasted average. I'll have to order two of this to satisfy my appetite but it can be a good thing for the prize if a regular pizza from other place I can have 2 of differ kind or flavour. Came here for a lunch take away and was very pleasantly surprised. The toppings were plentiful and the dough was perfect - just the right amount of chewiness and crispiness. I was happy with the toppings selection and their tomato sauce was very fresh. Adding garlic was a total game changer to my pizza.
