Jeff was great! He did a training for my school district recently. He was clear and focused on the most important things we need to know to help save a life. I had taken CPR and first aid 19 years ago, and a few things are being done in new and improved ways. I learned a lot in a brief amount of time. I'm sending my teenage son to Jeff's class next! Jeff was friendly and answered questions, and he was good at getting the participants involved. His real life examples were compelling. You owe it to your loved ones to take this class. Needed to renew my BLS and glad I found Heart Start CPR! I am so glad I found something that worked with my schedule. I took a morning class with Dave. He was a great instructor. He was to the point and made sure we understood why we do what we do with the steps of BLS. I appreciate all the Covid protocols in place from mask wearing to santization to practicing 2 rescuer CPR while social distancing. I also liked the eCard option they offer. I have been going here for many, many years. ACLS/BLS Classes are taught to you as the professional you are. In person classes are a diverse mix of a variety of healthcare professionals consisting of nurses, EMTs, doctors, firemen, etc. You can now do everything online if you like and just come in to complete your skills test. I sure came in anxious since this was my first ACLS class and I was a little rusty reading EKG strips. However, the instructors made this process as painless as possible. The videos we watched in class were very high quality, even the acting was pretty good. The class even offers free snacks, coffee, and drinks in the back. Our instructors were Andrew, Bill, & Ryan and they all were absolutely fabulous. They were outgoing, extremely knowledgable, and very personable. Their stories were very relatable and helped reinforce the information we learned in class. They give you a cheat sheet with the algorithms broken down in an easy-to-follow manner. I really appreciated how REAL the instructors were about following AHA guidelines because not all of these scenarios are textbook. They all play out differently in real life. I found this one on Yelp. Starting with taking PALS, now, I take all my needed certificate here. I have had different instructor every time . My experience with them: some are better prepared, some are less prepared for the class. Some are more strict, some are easy on you. Every one is different, so you always need to be well prepared to come to the class. Some are not big on mask, talking without mask, and the student were told to do the same. Some are good at mask.
