We finished about 20 mins early. The only thing that we didn't get to do was operating the AED machine. I'm pretty familiar with AED machine coz my airline job provide BLS training every year, but I can imagine for some people, it's very new. I had to renew my CPR certification and came to the Dublin location. It was a great experience from beginning to end. Scheduling was super simple and got a text and email confirmation. They send text reminders when it comes close to the date you set and easy rescheduling if need to be. Inside the classroom they followed COVID rules with 6 feet apart and modified the team skills so you can do individually but still hands on. The course instructor Connor was amazing. Very energetic and spoke clearly. He was easy to talk to if we had any questions. Definitely recommend and will be back in 2 years to renew. read more

I was in need to renew my BLS CPR certification and last did it with Bay Area Seminars. They're currently having all student complete online coursework instead of classroom and then scheduling a 1 hour classroom skills test on-site. Registration was easy, no purchase of workbook required and the online modules were the same as the classroom videos. There are 8 modules which included all the required trainings for 1 and 2 person adult, child and infant CPR/AED. Additionally, simulations were required for passing. I scheduled the on-site skills test for Dublin. Building is a little confusing to find even with google maps. There were about 6 in attendance and each of us had our own table, mannequins, AED, air bags. Kept our face masks on throughout with ventilation skills demonstrated without actual mouth to mannequin. After class we used sanitizing wipes on all equipment. As for instructors - they seem to hire the best! I've experienced amazing instructors 2/2 now. This particular instructor teaches at the Redwood City and SF location - he was great! Made the skills test a great review and contributed additional feedback and helpful tips. I've been here for a few times for my BLS certification over the years and have always had a good experience - great instructors that are quick, thorough, and make the class interesting. This time, our instructor Conner who was called in last minute was no different - he was still on top of everything and made the skills testing worthwhile. On the same day, I was also trying to get my ACLS certification so I had signed up for the skills testing because I had already done an online class. When I got there though, I found out that the online learning/exam that I did was one through another training center and I could not do the skills testing there. Apparently there are some scams/non-approved AHA training centers out there so the staff (Robert & Tabitha I think it was) went above and beyond to look into it for me. They also gave me a refund for the skills testing that I had signed up for. Thankfully, it all worked out as the class that I did was an approved AHA training center and not a scam. I really appreciate them reaching out to me and looking out for their students. To save the trouble in the future though, I will just come here for all my recertifications haha. read more

Really enjoyed Conner's class! He made everything clear and made the class enjoyable! We wore masks in the class and the tables were about 6 feet apart. We were instructed to wash our hands after each use of the manikins and other devices. My friends and I had the BLS book in pdf form which we were able to use as long as it was from 2016. I was really bummed that I had to do a CPR class (for the nth time!) on my ONE DAY OFF, but our instructor Conner made it so awesome (he was very informative but not boring) that it didn't even feel like I was stuck in a room trying to revive some adult and baby mannequins with 13 other lucky strangers! This is was my initial ACLS. I completed a portion online through the AHA then signed up for an ACLS skills to complete the certification. The skills portion consists of 1-person CPR and providing ventilations with BVM at 1 breath every 5-6 seconds. Best CPR class I've ever taken! I was bummed that I had to give up a Sunday afternoon to get re-certified, but it's the end of the month and it had to be done. I went with three of my coworkers, and there were about 10 people in the class total. We had Conner as our instructor, and he made the class fun! He's hilarious-making it easier for me to retain the information. I passed the test on the first try, and got only one wrong-my best score from any CPR class (read the questions very carefully!). My coworker and I took this class today and found it very informative. We have taken a couple CPR courses together and really enjoyed this one. Our instructor was very informative. Although during this pandemic we wore masks and sat 6 ft away from each other we were still responsible to learn how to do it with two people, but instead verbally instructed what we would do if a second person were with us. The classroom is small but we really liked that all equipment was wiped down and up to date. I have never had a CPR class with manikins that lights up if you're doing compressions correctly. Overall, I highly recommend taking this course, you get all the information you need to know in order to pass the exam to get certified.
