I always dread renewing my ACLS every 2 years, it's such a gruesome experience with megacodes, EKG…read morereadings, etc. I usually get my renewal through work but this year I decided to try something different. I wanted to try a renewal outside of work with the hopes that it is less stressful. I came across this place through my Yelp search based on the high ratings. When I went to the website, the option to renewal was online portion + skills assessment. I was worried about the skills assessment. I purchased it and scheduled my skills assessment. The online portion is something I have done in the past with my other renewals which really helps prep you with the algorithms and lots of feedback. The online portion is nice because you work at your own pace, on your own time. You must completed the online portion in order to do the skills assessment in person. Before my skills assessment, I received very helpful e-mails to help me pass my skills assessment. They had some videos and helpful tips in the e-mail. When I arrived to the location at San Ramon, I was a little confused as I easily missed the door and was very lost. I called the phone number and they were very helpful in guiding me on where to go. There is NO instructor there, it's just a manikin hooked up to the computer that assesses the skill. I thought the videos helped me pass the skills assessment. I did have to re-do some sections a couple times but the feedback from the computer helped me and I think the e-mail tips clicked after doing the skills assessment. Overall, the skills assessment was definitely less stressful than I expected. It wasn't that bad. I definitely plan to return to do my BLS + ACLS renewal here, it's very chill and at your own pace! I love it. This really eases my anxiety regarding renewal, I would highly recommend for anyone that wants to renew! Everything is at your own pace. You do only have an hour to do the skills assessment, which I felt was PLENTY of time! The skills assessment focuses mainly on the breaths/compressions of CPR and 2:1 teamwork.

I finally decided to take the plunge and do ACLS. Very similar to BLS, except the pediatric…read moreportion you don't have to do. I went to the Castro Valley location, the same location I have used since last year. I love that this location has its own little parking lot in the back and you just follow the instructions which are emailed to you in order to access the office where you will do your skills testing. Not that this is a dealbreaker, but just be aware there is no restroom at this location. Last year I recall there used to be, but they have now locked the adjoining door so you cannot access the restroom if you need to go. The other thing was it doesn't seem that the cart the mannequin is on is able to be moved; or maybe I just couldn't move it? I went in the morning hours and the sun was shining right in my eyes. Just be forewarned if you decide to go to the Castro Valley location - - use the bathroom first and you may want to bring some sunglasses just in case LOL

Love it! Extremely easy to book my appt online and thoroughly enjoyed my experience…read more I needed certification for BLS AHA ( for future work ) and looked for somewhere local then found Safety Training. They have multiple locations, but this site was only a 5 min drive from me. Once I booked, i got confirmation emails and reminders on what to prepare for. I completed the online portion of the course at home, which was super convenient - I could pause whenever I needed a break, and it didn't take long to finish. There's also a short 5 min prep video for you to watch before the actual skills training, I found it helpful and gave me confidence on the day of- I watched about 4 times lol The actual site of skills training is across the street from "The Lot", drive towards the flag pole and water fountain. Buildings have huge numbers on them, hard to miss. Plenty of free parking! Room was situated close to the elevator, easy to find. Punch in the code given in email and Voila you're in! Once inside, everything is pre-set up and I SO appreciated the privacy. No pressure- just me and the voice assisted manikin guiding me through it all. It was both educational and quite the work out! Overall, it worked out perfectly, and I'd definitely choose Safety Training again for my renewals. Thanks!

I was able to easily and conveniently renew my ACLS/BLS certifications. I actually enjoyed going…read morethrough the online modules at my convenience which adapts to your level of knowledge. I was thrown off by the concept that for the skills portion you are alone with a manikin. However, I loved the convenience of completing and practicing at your own pace! I scheduled my ACLS/BLS skills session back to back 10-11am and 11-12pm, but was able to finish both within the hour and move on with my day. I definitely plan to continue maintaining my certification through STS at this location

We have had two really really bad communication issues both from their main office (both involving Morgan Everett) one was years ago that I've let go, this recent one was this last weekend and one of the worst parts is Morgan never apologizes for the situation. This time we had a caregiver reach out to myself directly and say she tested potive for covid on the 30th of Dec. fast forward to today Jan. 3 at 9:30 and I still haven't heard from the office about it. I inquired why I haven't heard and Morgan said "they are working to inform all the families she worked with and re-schedule her assignments this morning, and because of the holiday they are just getting around to it". I have kids in public school and daycare and they still haven't felt the need to inform us that the girl who was in our home the day before she tested positive has covid if she hadnt told me herself I probably still wouldn't know ‍. I don't blame the girl/caregiver at all but for the love of God they didn't communicate about the positive test without me asking and they can at least apologize for anything at all! It's insane to me and terrible customer service super disappointed that this is still how this this agency is being run as it's a great concept and under the old owner the service and communication was way better (3 yrs ago it changed owners I believe).
