This was my first experience with movers, and Heart Moving came recommended to me by a good friend. The entire experience (consultation & the moving itself) was seamless, efficient, meticulous, and handled with care. I worked with Ana and Jane on the logistics of my move. They were very thorough in ensuring that my entire inventory was accounted for, answered all of my questions, and made themselves available during all hours of the business day and during the day of my move. My move was within Manhattan in the same postal code, from a walk up building to an elevator building. We had a mix of large furniture (mattress, nightstands, TV, arm chair, floor lamp, dressers, etc.) and 10+ boxes. They arrived on the dot at 9am and wrapped up their packing job within 45 minutes. It was seriously so impressive how they handled our small space and the stairs. They also brought their own packing materials to make sure that everything was protected in the move. As we wrapped up, they made sure to check if anything was left behind. Then, we headed to our new apartment. They brought up everything and even asked where we wanted boxes and furniture to be placed. I seriously could not recommend Heart Moving any more, they were absolutely wonderful. After using Piece of Cake movers for 4 different moves here in Manhattan over the past few years, the latest estimate was double what it had been in all of our past moves (with no major changes to our inventory). We decided to go with Heart Moving after being reassured from Ana White - the senior consultant. They gave us a competitive rate for our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom move. The crew showed up on time & was very kind. They moved quickly to get our property loaded into the truck. I will say that they weren't as thorough in wrapping our large TVS (one was 83" & the other was 65"). Piece of Cake had a team build a wooden box that would protect the screens. On the other hand, Heart Moving pieced together boxes to create a large box that would transport both TVs. I want to point out there was *no* damage to our TVs, but I was a little concerned since we've seen how extremely careful Piece of Cake was with our property in the past. At one point, Heart Moving broke a large piece of glass that went on top of an entertainment console. I alerted Ana & she was quick to get this replaced. The customer service was exceptional, so I had to give them 4 stars because they wanted to make it right. The crew did knock a small hole into a headboard of one of the beds & also knocked a chunk out of a nightstand. I told Ana we feel like that kind of damage is bound to happen at times, so we didn't ask for those to be replaced. However, Piece of Cake never damaged any of our property in the 4 different moves we had with them in the past. Overall - I'd recommend Heart Moving, but I'd definitely keep an eye on the crew to make sure they're packing your things properly & also making sure not to bump into your property. There were a few times when they were not extremely careful with some of our framed pictures & knocked them over. They didn't break & it didn't cause any damage, but if they were larger, they definitely would've broken. read more

Heart moving has been so passionate about my move. It was very last minute on my end of the move. They paid attention to detail on what needed to be done with out me knowing. What was very helpful as a single parent. I was able to move out of my family house in Lake Land Florida, back to NYC. And not one item was broken and everything was placed properly. Every team member was professional. ( I worked with companies in the pass that has been not be professional and poor manners) this by far has been good. So I will recommend them again. I planned to give a 5 but later I am not happy with the way I was treated. 1. When discussing the moving date, the sales didn't talk about time with me. I was occupied with too many things so I got the impression that I had told them the time. The sales never asked me to confirm the time. Only on the day before the moving day I was told that they would move in the morning. But both elevators for the move-out and move-in buildings were reserved in the afternoon. That made the moving take much longer than expected because we had to share the elevators with other movers. 2. The moving process was fine. They did a good job and helped me get rid of the very heavy furniture I no longer needed. 3. When moving into the new apartment, they were in a hurry to leave. While I understood it, I was not happy that they left almost immediately without helping assembling all my furniture and placing them at the place I wanted, after they got their tips and recorded the feedback video. I have to wait until my friend have time to help me. 4. They didn't let me check the moving truck before leaving. I trusted them, and I was really exhausted with moving afterward. But after that I found that I couldn't find a box of my shoes, which is worth about $200. I called them but the only thing they said was "They didn't find anything on the truck". Overall, they did the moving pretty efficiently. But according to my personal experience, I won't give them a high score. read more

The company (Ana and owner) were very responsive with everything prior to move and day of move. The movers didn't call when they were 20 minutes out so they ended up having to wait because I noted I was getting the keys the morning of but they were prompt and waited for the little hiccup with communication. The movers didn't look like the pictures on here nor were they in any uniform but they were efficient. I think they brought a 3rd guy for the next move but it was primarily 2 men doing the move. They were fast and seemed to know what to do but communication was a little difficult since only 1 spoke to us in English. There was an issue with our 3 seater couch but due to that they had to walk some stairs in an elevator building so I did feel bad about that but when they communicated another message to their company and manager which was off putting. Finally at the end of service the tip was 26% of the total and the foreman asked for more money instead of a thank you for tipping well over industry standards. The owner acknowledged the issue and I think the guys did a great move minus some communication issues and lack of courtesy. read more

Heart is efficient and the movers themselves were nice if you need to move boxes that don't contain anything fragile. Unfortunately, if you have anything that is fragile or of any value I'd recommend a different company. I specifically noted artwork that I was concerned about with their sales rep and he assured me I shouldn't pack it and that they would wrap it themselves and take extra care of it. When my items were being unloaded it was clear that something had caused a significant impact as the plexiglass on one piece of art was completely shattered to the point it had pierced through the art. Heart refused to compensate me for the cost of the damage, and only gave me a fraction of the amount despite the fact I'd specifically noted these items and been assured by their team. Would not use them again as a result. read more

I was given a time frame and called day of requesting that for me 1pm-4pm appointment, if they could arrive closed to 4 that would help me out and they accommodated me happily. Heart Moving did a great job for us on a local move. The move was from two locations (in Brooklyn and Manhattan) to another location in Manhattan. They carried everything up four narrow flights of stairs to a fifth floor apartment. The movers were on time, polite, cheerful, efficient, and careful. Jane at their office was polite and patient. Ana is amazing and really proactive at everything. During this special time of Covid, my condo building requires Proof of Vaccination and PCR Test Proof, Ana and her team is really accommodating. Ana really goes out of her way to make sure all of customers special requests and needs regarding moving are taken care of. Traffic in Manhattan can be really bad and unpredictable sometimes, but drivers and movers are really punctual. They really try their best to make sure the move is as stress-free as possible. Paulina was great making the arrangements for me she was in constant communication and always pleasant to speak with. Last week, my mother had to move within the same building, from one floor to another floor. I found Heart Movers on Yelp. From inquiry to the end of move, Deana was in communication. Her team was great! My sister and I spoke English, but my mother did not. Deana made sure to send a team of bilingual movers :) . Heart moving was recommended by a friend for their great communication, good pricing and solid work. I communicated with Ana who was very responsive and accommodating. We had a 2bedroom move with a lot of stuff and they recommended a 2 stage move (1 day packing, second day move) to make sure we adhered to the moving times for each building. They provided fair quotes and even called me personally to see how they could provide the most efficient service. In the end, I chose a different company who was able to do the whole move in one day but boy, that was some crazy tornado of a day. Looking back, Heart's recommendation to do the move in 2 days was probably the better plan. Will keep them in mind for future moves. read more

Great experience with Heart for my interstate move involving two stops in NYC and a final stop in Massachussetts. Deana is super communicative and easy to be in contact with, the two movers were on top of things, quick, and easy to work with. We did have to pay more than the quote, but I'm sure that's normal in terms of not being able to figure out how much stuff there actually will be when providing all the information initially. Moved from NYC to Cambridge, MA and Heart Moving did a great job! Not only did they offer the best price, but customer service was fantastic. Nick was available via text for any questions prior to the move and on the day of. Six men arrived at 9am and moved our 800 sq ft in less than 2 hours - it was so efficient! This was the worst moving experience. During the pickup the manager demanded 20% tip up front. When they came to drop off the furniture they caused $2000 damage to a console that they dropped. Of note they had 4 guys on the first trip then 3 when they delivered. After acknowledging that they destroyed my furniture they offered me $200 settlement ($50 because they were feeling generous). This was a s---show and I had to go through my own insurance to get the repairs done. Use them at your own caution, you've been warned. They suck. read more

COIs were included in the price and they offer flat rate services with no hidden fees. I've used Heart moving 3xs and if I could give more stars than the "5" I would!!! My first move was from an apartment that i'd lived in for 10 yrs .. way up on the 5th floor, and even after reading the glowing reviews on a UWS Mom's group from a family who had raved about how professional and kind Mike and his team were for her FIVE moves with antiques, moving is just plain stressful! Deana, went above and beyond in her duties to keep me updated of exactly when the movers would be arriving and really relaxed my general move anxieties by just being there and checking in to make sure all was moving along smoothly. It really couldn't have been an easier move! I used them again days later after finding a bookshelf and antique hutch on marketplace that needed coordinating quickly for 2 different location pick-ups and once again, Deana organized it all and my beautiful pieces arrived promptly and easily! Maybe it's because I knew Deana would help me swiftly and easily pick up another good find on marketplace .. I splurged and bought a couch that was too good to miss and I know i'll be enjoying many good naps on it after all this unpacking!!! I can't recommend this fabulous team highly enough! We've used heart moving before during Covid after initially finding them on Yelp. So a year later they were the first place we thought to use. We still got quotes that were a little cheaper but in the end we feel like you get what you pay for so we went with them. Scheduling was easy and they have their stuff together when it comes to insurance for the new apartment. We also sent them our brother in law's business since they are moving at the same time.
