I wish that I had visited Dr. Robinson sooner! I finally got tired of saying "what" and "huh" all of the time, and found that I could only hear conversation if I was 100% focused on listening. After a thorough exam and lifestyle review, I found that I was completely missing out on a lot of the "speech sounds" due to a significant loss in the higher frequencies. Dr. Robinson was able to fit me with hearing aids that have allowed me to hear all of the sounds that I was missing, and allow for the lower frequencies to pass through without feeling unnatural. She also knows that I am an avid motorcycle rider, and the hearing aids she chose also block out a lot of wind noise, allowing me to hear traffic around me. My brain has quickly adapted to the sounds that I have not been used to hearing for many years, and I have found myself not feeling tired from having to focus on hearing as much. Dr. Robinson never made me feel rushed at her office, and happily took the time that I needed to properly fit and fine tune my hearing aids. Hearing Solutions Audiology Center now has a wonderfully convenient location in the Lee Airport Shopping Center in Edgewater, MD. I didn't find that location on the Yelp website, but wanted everyone to know. I had a through diagnostic hearing evaluation from Dr. Crystal M. Lilly, Au.D., MD this July in the Edgewater location. I can highly recommend her expertise and ability to explain different aspects of brain function, hearing loss, and hearing devices. I am now in my first week with my new hearing devices and am able to hear many sounds I have been unable to hear in the past. Conversations are much easier for me now and less stressful.
