I had three appointments at this establishment and quickly learned that unless you make an appointment to be one of the first patients you will wait for hours. That is unless you are the first patient of the day and the doctor you are scheduled to see if always late, and I mean late by 45 minutes or more. This was known by the schedulers and the optometrist assistants as when I mentioned I had been waiting for over an hour they stated that the doctor I was scheduled to see is always running late then takes her time eating her breakfast before seeing patients. After my second appointment of being prescribed 4 products three of which I had to purchase from them I realized that this place is a money grab. They want to continue pushing you to purchase their products instead of a resolution. I wanted to be sized for hard contacts as my optometrist had already confirmed I was the ideal candidate for it; however they stated they wished to continue meds. I made the decision after my third appointment that this was not the place for me. I never had an appointment where the waiting room was not full to the point patients were sitting in the hallway. Not the type of establishment I will support.

Tolkien's 'The Hobbit,' Thorin Oakenshield,…read moredwarf leader, tells Bilbo Baggins, "You're our burglar, go burgle something" outside the crimson dragon Smaug's lair on Lonely Mountain. Dr. Desai, much like Tolkien's protagonist in the Hobbit, is a specialist, a retinal ophthalmologist to be precise; and, if you require such expertise, he fits the bill much better than Baggins fits his anticipated role. The reasons why one may be referred to a retinal ophthalmologist can be as unsettling as the obstacles in Bilbo's adventure, and the long wait times and Dr. Desai's bedside manner, much like Gandalf's, sometimes leave a lot to be desired, but his expertise is much needed and welcome.

During this stressful time, Dr. Desai was always professional and courteous, his approach conservative. He took his time and patiently answered all of my questions during every visit. He was deliberate and meticulous during every examination. He clearly explained my options and potential results. He was always realistic about setting my expectations. During the vitrectomy, Dr. Desai was intensely yet calmly focused. I followed his recovery instructions and now enjoy excellent vision in that eye. I am forever grateful to him. I can't recommend him strongly enough.

Unfortunately it took almost three hours to find this out. A 1:30 appointment meant that I was in the waiting room until 2:45. Then seen by a tech to read the letters and pressure test. Guess what's next? Back to the waiting room! A smaller back waiting room with coffee and tea but still a waiting room. We watched hgtv for about 40 minutes and discussed the rude woman who un-welcomed me on my first visit. Turns out she is rude often and to many. She is a large african american receptionist. I signed in and gave my I.D. I couldn't find my insurance card and was having a vision problem, obviously, so i tried to explain that i had a referral from my doc with the info on it. Before i could finish saying the word "referral" she cut me off and said well we have....your card....since 2016! I missed several words but none of the rude attitude. So i said what? No response. I said excuse me? She handed back my I.D. So i said louder excuse me what did you say to me? She said are you yelling at me or talking to me? So I respond I've asked you 3 times what you said. Are you saying I've been here before because I dont recall? She asks my name. So I reminded her that she JUST had my I.D. So. she demands WHAT IS YOUR NAME? I told her and she got up and walked away after telling Maria to help me. Maria was nice. She confirmed that as suspected, I'd never been there before. She also had no idea what the rude woman was referring to from 2016. Weird right? I had great care for my eye trauma from Dr S, but he may want to tighten up that office staff that does not at all represent the quality of care he provides. One star lost to her rudeness and another for the looooooong visit. Worth it for scary eye injury reassurance!

My wife is currently in VIRGINIA, having her THIRD eye surgery, to correct the initial mistake at the Solomon Eye surgery center, the second mistake at the clinic, and now we're here. The arrogance, condescension and smugness of the doctors, is beyond belief. I think I'll take her to a different doctor, for the cataract removal in her left eye. I, for one, will NEVER be a patient here. Not after they've done this to my wife
