Too bad Melanie isn't still there, she was fabulous. The audiologists here don't stay long...wonder why....

I will have to concur with the other reviewers, Dr. White is an awesome doctor…read more I have been going to Polyclinic for almost 8 years. Dr. Tomberg was my doctor at the time and he was just amazing. Sadly he left to start a practice closer to home and that left us patients wondering if there will ever be a doctor that would be as kind, caring and patient as he was. And there was! Dr. White! I tried one doctor before Dr. White, I don't remember her name but I did not like her. She was cold and dismissive and I just noticed she is no longer there anyway. I was starting to look for a family doctor elsewhere, but thought I would give it another try since I was still seeing Dr. Zook (dermatologist). I finally saw Dr. White for a general check-up and he so warm and friendly when we met. Although he is a guy doctor I feel very comfortable with him and that's not very common. Dr. White is very thorough it seems and his explains his diagnosis in lay terms so I understand what's going on, he even goes as far as drawing pictures. Anyway, I'm suddenly wondering if I should even post this. Once people get wind of awesome docs like Dr. White it starts getting hard to see him. But he totally deserves all the positive referrals!

The reason she gave me: "the doctor is not accepting transfer patients at this time". When I asked for assistance finding another provider she told me, that I should go back to the Madison Center Polyclinic rather than the Downtown Clinic. Later that day I spoke with the Polyclinic Downtown "Quality" manager and Polyclinic patient services, and both teams told me that the doctor is indeed accepting BOTH new patients and transfers. They were able to confirm that the cancellation reason Cassie gave me is not true. The cancellation reason now displayed on MyChart is "Provider Personal". I have no way to know what the Doctor's real "personal" reasons are for the cancellation. Perhaps it's because I'm a gay male? or maybe some other values-based conflict? I just don't know. Apparently he determined we aren't a good fit in the 60 minutes before our appointment start - totally inconsiderate.

Dr. Scott Manning performed a sub-par lingual frenotomy or "tongue-tie" procedure on our 1 month…read moreold baby. Our appointment was only to discuss options due to some potential issues. Dr. Manning was extremely rushed, arrogant, and pushy. Also turns out he is not knowledgeable about more current techniques or options, did not explain the procedure thoroughly, was dismissive of doing tongue exercises afterwards, and didn't bother to give us a private minute to discuss having the procedure done given we were not scheduled to do one. We left feeling bowled over and shell shocked. And we ended up having to get the frenotomy done a second time, but this time with a highly recommended specialist at another clinic. It was night and day experience. Our baby had been in the NICU so we were accustomed to going along with doctors. Learn from our mistake and do not let Dr. Manning perform any procedures on your child! I will not let any doctor at Children's Hospital do any procedure/surgery after our experience there, unless last resort. I highly recommend you seek out a frenotomy specialist, and do your own research about anterior and posterior so you can be informed and know what questions to ask. I would have but wasn't expecting to have any procedure done that day. Also BE AWARE, the Children's Hospital bill was MUCH HIGHER than the bill from the specialist who had to re-do the frenotomy to correct it. I contacted Children's Patient and Family Relations team and asked them to reduce our bill by the amount of having to repay for it to be redone. They would not. I'm warning everyone I know.

Really unhappy with our experience. My son had sinus surgery that was a failure. My son's pain is…read moreworse after the surgery than it was before. Dr. Manning is arrogant, condescending, difficult to follow, and frequently contradicts himself. I was wary about the surgery and the doctor going in to the surgery but felt like we had run out of options and had no choice but to go forward. Manning refused to acknowledge that the surgery was a failure (the point was to reduce my son's severe pain). Manning tried to tell me he had made it clear before the surgery that it was highly likely no change in my son's pain level would occur from the surgery. This is an outright lie. He told us the exact opposite and that my son would feel so great post op we would "bring him a cake to celebrate at the post op appointment." We are out thousands of dollars and my son is in a worse place than before. PLEASE do your research and get recommendations for other ENT's before you move forward with Manning. The most disappointing medical experience I have had.
