To the Practice Leadership of Tonawanda Pediatrics:…read more I am submitting a formal complaint regarding the conduct of Jessica, the office manager, during an incident this morning involving myself and my 7-year-old daughter. The way this situation was handled was inappropriate, rude, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. Jessica entered the situation without taking the time to understand what was actually happening. She never introduced herself, never made any meaningful attempt to hear my concerns, and, most importantly, never acknowledged or took responsibility for the fact that I have now made five separate attempts to obtain a simple report or note from a therapist at this practice. Five requests for basic documentation should not have resulted in this level of frustration or confrontation. I want a clear explanation as to why this request has still not been fulfilled. What is preventing Tonawanda Pediatrics from providing this documentation? Why have five requests gone unanswered or unresolved? More concerning was Jessica's conduct during today's interaction. Rather than attempting to resolve the matter professionally, she proceeded to threaten me by stating that my 7-year-old daughter could be kicked out of the practice. That is completely unacceptable. A parent raising a legitimate concern regarding their child's care and requesting documentation should not be threatened with the removal of their child from the medical practice simply because they are asking questions and seeking answers. I am therefore requesting that practice leadership immediately investigate: * Jessica's conduct during today's incident; * Why my request for the therapist's report/note has not been fulfilled after five attempts; * Why I was threatened with the possibility of my daughter being removed from the practice; * Whether Jessica's conduct was consistent with the standards expected of someone serving as an office manager; and * What steps will be taken to ensure that my daughter does not experience any adverse treatment because I raised these concerns. Given the seriousness of what occurred, I strongly believe Jessica's conduct warrants immediate administrative review and consideration of whether she should remain in her position. I am not looking for an argument. I am looking for accountability, an explanation, and professional treatment. Most importantly, this concerns the care of my 7-year-old daughter. I expect Tonawanda Pediatrics to treat both of us with the professionalism, respect, and courtesy that should be expected from a pediatric medical practice. I expect a prompt written response addressing each of these concerns.

Dr. Joel and staff always listen and respond in a caring manner. They go out of their way to accommodate you when your child is sick. The small practice allows for a personal experience each visit. Sheridan Peds is a wonderful, loving, and nurturing practice. I feel as though they are part of my family. I wish they could treat my children into adulthood.

He told me he was checking to make sure everything was okay in there-such as herpes. I was young, a virgin, and didn't understand. I haven't been to a doctor since because it brings back these traumatic experiences everytime, and I'm 33 now. Please go into the room with your child wherever you take them. My parents never went in the room with me and stayed in the waiting lobby. I saw him for clinical depression which i still have but I had to see him to get my medicines prescribed. He made my depression far worse from inappropriately touching me in ways I didn't understand doctors aren't supposed to do at the time but felt off about it. I trusted him. I wish i made this review and found him years ago seeing as he is still practicing it hurts my heart to think of the others affected by him. If you have been too and wish to talk-please contact me.

It's been over two years of our son going here and we are still happy with this practice. They…read morerecently moved to a new location and it's even better than before. A little tough to find the first time but we love the new set up. Dr. Tony is great and really gives great advice to new parents on the different stages of our son's growth. Our son isn't a big fan of shots but he has gotten better thanks to the nurses and doctors here. Their approach and care for their patients seems to be top priority here. So glad we've had a great office for our son this whole time.

Without ever treating me before, Dr. Lugo took my emergency appointment request and sat with me to go over the diagnosis so that he could complete the form for me. I appreciate the time he took to complete my request so that I could have the form back timely. Dr. Lugo asks the right questions and listens to your concerns. Highly recommend!

Our daughter went here for the first five months of her life! A few friends of mine actually…read moresuggested it, saying that they loved this office. Unfortunately our experience was not the same. We absolutely loved the doctors! I wish I could remember their names to give them credit. If only those doctors could find a place that cares a little bit more about their clients, I wouldn't be saying this. But, every single time we went into the office we were welcomed by the rudest receptionist I have ever seen. As far as I remember, the nurses were pretty great as well. But I also recall feeling ignored, and made to feel "over worried". They're our babies-we want to know ALL the details! But not only are the receptionists rude, They also completely messed up My daughters schedule. Her two month appointment, which was supposed to be directly after her one-month appointment, got pushed apmost 2 months late!! They didn't see her from month 1 until almost 4!!! Which is unacceptable. Due to "lack of availability" FOR TWO MONTHS-The way I see it is, she was a brand new baby. When I called to ask if they had availability for a newborn, they should've told me NO if they were not going to have the appointments necessary for her best health. But something else was fishy- because remember? I had friends that went to the same exact place! And somehow both friends managed to get their daughters an appointment within the same month that they told me was "completely booked up".... And I mean, we're talking about a newborn here. A month old baby. They're supposed to be seen by the doctor regularly- it seems as though the receptionist just didn't care, or maybe had some personal feelings about our family so they messed up our appointment schedule? I'm not sure but the pieces is just don't fit together. How could you be booked up for one client, but be completely available for another... Well, to say the least, this is the reason we got out of there as soon as we could. And I'm so so grateful to have found a doctor that my daughter currently has. So anyways, I really hope they get rid of that miserable receptionist so that not only can I remove this review, but also so that EVERYBODY that walks in and out of that place-can have a happier and more peaceful day! Our experience was just awful. She is not even a good human being let alone doctor. My daughter now believes she is extremely fat because of things said to her she is actually a pretty normal weight but has a ddd bra size at 13 so that adds weight to the scale and apparently that's just not ok. Her office staff was also rude and we could almost never get in even for sick appts. My son went without meds multiple times because they would not refill on time even though I called days ahead. Dr Guru also threatened to call cps on me twice. one because my daughter broke her ankle ice skating and once because she had an accident cooking dropped hot water down her front. so both complete accidents and one she was not even with me for she was with her aunt. Dr has no personality and even my kids dreaded going there.

This is where my family doctor is, and Ive been coming here since I moved to the United States…read morewhich has been 14 years now. I love it here and so do my family. The people are so friendly and welcoming, they make each visit great. Before going for check up or anything, you need to make an appointment. Most of the time there are a lot of open spots, and they give options on time as well. They work with your schedule, and make sure you get what you ask for you. You can either call to set up or walk in to make your appointment. What I love the most is that they give you a reminder card and they also call you the day before your appointment, to make you are able to make it or if you need to cancel it. The doctors always have good referrals. The office is a bit small, they have about four or five personal rooms for check up, but they share this building. There is street parking, it doesn't really get that crowded so you are able to find parking real close. I will not switch from them, because they are as good as it gets.
