the receptionist was very rude. I went in-in pain and the receptionist rudeness just sent me away to a different office. People don't go to the doctor for nothing just to have a basic conversation about the weather. obviously I was in a lot of foot pain and it was my first time to go to any foot doctor about my flat feet pain. I come from a different state and I didn't know feet doctor was a real thing. I chose this location because it was closer to my living and work, so luckily the bad reception push me to go to a better pediatrist who was much more helpful. Yall doctors need to learn, your receptionist can cause your office to not get paid due to bad customer service . understand who you hire. read more

Love this place! I was personally a patient at Delaware peds when I was a kid! Of course, the amazing Dr's I saw as a kid have all now retired but were still there when my kids were babies - Dr Menchini, who was the original head of the office Dr, even saved my youngest sons life/ health by finding a tumor in his kidney and making sure we got appropriate treatment - the current doctors are equally as amazing! My youngest is the only one still of pediatric age, and he sees Dr Zmuda ..my son is medically complex with a ton of specialists and Dr Zmuda is great with keeping up with all his needs and helping as much as she can! I wil probably cry in a few years when my youngest ages out of their office because they are simply amazing ! read more

Being new to the area, I called many offices to get my kids their doctor and this place has been very helpful. The front desk helped me all necessary paperwork and how to get 3 of my kids seen here. The staff are very friendly and nice. The front desk answered my question and returned my call in a timely matter. I like the Doctors here. The place is clean. My children have been patients of Delaware Ped for years. However, after my daughter's visit with the physician today, this will be the last time using Delaware Peds. The female Doctor was very rude, inconsiderate, and treated my daughter extremely disrespectfully. I don't understand how you can go to a doctor for help/care and they treat you like this. Delaware Peds is where I take my daughter. She was going to a different pediatrician before I moved her to this place, simply due to its convenient location (closer to our home). The nurses and doctors are always very nice and pleasant, and most importantly of all, VERY THOROUGH. I love Delaware Peds. My son is special needs and his pediatrician is Dr Lana and he really is the best. I have had the pleasure of working with many pediatricians in the WNY area so when I became a mommy I knew exactly where I was going to take my baby. My son is now 9 and I can't express how happy I am with the practice. A few years ago there was a merge with Kenmore Peds and the practice did expand; there were some hiccups, but all in all, they work very hard to provide the best care possible. I love that they have the Medent portal. Billing can improve a bit. But if that's my biggest complaint, I will take it. Every nurse, PA, NP and MD is amazing. I love this practice read more

Pros: some evening hours, after hours response time, friendly staff, nurses answer any questions I may have whenever I call Cons: I just haven't felt a connection to any particular doctor. In the beginning, they misplaced my son's files. I feel they aren't specialized in micropreemies (which my twins are). I loved this office, and I am sad to write a negative review. This has nothing to do with the physicians. They are and have always been wonderful. However the issues began with the merger with Kenmore pediatrics. Since then it has been a headache every time from billing to appointments. Never billed properly when at the office, which I have my card out to pay every time, but I get a collection notice in the mail instead. The front office staff is atrocious. read more

I am surprised at all the negative reviews... I have a 3-year-old and a 3-month old, and we have been going to Delaware Peds since they were born. We see Dr. Joyce Zmuda, who is fantastic. She listens to what you have to say, and provides excellent advice. I feel that she is authoritative without being condescending. Our babies were both extremely difficult -- one was super-colicky and screamed 12 hours a day for four months, and the other is also very fussy and has some GI issues. Dr. Zmuda has guided us through both of their issues, including all the questions we had about sleep and sleep training. When our first kid was screaming nonstop as a baby, she reassured us that he was healthy and provided emotional support. When our kids have had actual health issues, she has helped direct us to specialists while helping us feel reassured that we would find a solution. I highly recommend both Dr. Zmuda and Delaware Peds. My recommendation is to stick with one doctor and insist on keeping all your regular check-ups with that doctor (sick visits will be with whoever is available). Pros: -- Dr. Z is awesome, and most of the other doctors or nurse practitioners that we have seen during sick appointments have been excellent as well. They seem knowledgeable without being pushy, and all of them have listened carefully to our concerns. -- Nurses are available 24/7, free of charge, to answer questions about sick kids. Most nurses who answer are great. -- Extended hours including after work on weekdays, and on Saturday mornings. -- Front desk staff is efficient. Never had a long wait to check in. -- Waits are often minimal, especially in the mornings. -- Fish tank in the waiting room. -- I have never had any problems with paperwork or scheduling like some of the previous reviewers mentioned, and we have had a lot of appointments due to our kids' issues. Cons: -- We have had a few times where we had a long wait despite being on time for our appointment. -- I have had a few nurses answer the nurse line who were dismissive or made me feel like an idiot for asking certain questions. This has not been the norm at all, though -- most have been fantastic. Overall, I highly recommend this practice. I don't think you can expect things to be totally perfect with any doctor's office, and we've had a very good experience with this one. read more

We went here on the recommendation of a friend when we moved to town. We've moved a bit in the past year and this was actually the third pediatrician that our 15-month old has seen. We had Dr.Ellis who was nice but oh so very behind schedule on all three visits we had. I understand that doctors can get behind schedule easily but it is really hard to handle when you have a crying baby and she is consistently 30+ minutes. If they could let us know even when we arrived, we could take her for a walk or something. Doc is nice. Place is clean. They seem to know their stuff, but it is hard not to feel like they are nickel and diming you. They charge every time you ask for a form to be filled out (her two other doctors never charged). They charge for sending medical records to other doctors, etc. The staff feel so business like it makes it sterile compared to other doctors we've seen. read more

Our baby is almost 10 months old now, she's our first so roll back over 10 months and we really had no idea who we should choose for a pediatrician, as we live close by and they seem like a large operation we chose Delaware Pediatrics, initially everything went well, the visit to the hospital by the doctor was pleasant and efficient, however its once we got home we began to have our doubts. First, they've recently expanded, so when we first went to their office we noticed that it was under construction, then we noticed that it was really hard to get the scheduled appointments ( 2 month appointments would end up scheduled for almost 3 months at age because they were so backed up etc ) During our visits the doctors were wonderful, however I noticed that the nurses / receptionists simply weren't friendly, when we would call with questions it seemed as though we were bothering them !!, they would make mistakes with scheduling appointments and we would have to re-schedule ( one time they told us that our scheduled appointment couldn't be completed at our local office and we would have to drive to Lancaster / Depew....30 minutes away ) The final straw for me came after our daughters 6 month appointment, shortly after the appointment I questioned my wife if she had had a flu-shot ( as it was in the middle of a bad flu season ) and she said it hadn't been offered, when I called the office to ask about scheduling flu-shot the nurse said ..and I quote " i'm surprised they didn't offer it...let me check", then she came back with " we're out of infant flu-shots ( this was in December !!! ) and we're not expecting more", when I asked if she could recommend somewhere we could take our daughter as I was concerned, she acted like I was stupid and told me " well you could call around, but no-one has them anymore, but you can keep calling if we get any extras" !!! Since then i've switched to Allentown Pediatrics and when I first called them, one of the questions I had was if they had the flu-shots, to which the answer was "yes, we have plenty", I asked if they had ever run out and she told me no !!! We've had one appointment with Allentown Ped's and so far so good, I strongly recommend you stay away from Delaware Ped's as their "Customer service" is horrible ! read more

I'm conflicted when writing this because I think the doctors are some of the best around. Dr Zmuda is amazing and so helpful with any questions you have. And we love going to see her especially However last night we had a simple Flu shot scheduled but were told it was for the day before and we would have to reschedule! Do you know how hard it was to get out of work on time drive to pick up my child and make it to the appointment on time? A flu shot I would think would be a 5 min appt and I get that it was our mistake but good practice would be to squeeze us in. So frustrated! read more

Responses are slow, CVS requested refill from office. A week later still no response. I called doctor office cannot do refill be cause the doctor if off. This is messing my child up. She needs to take these meds on time. Don't seem to care. read more

First let me start by stating as a child I only went to Delaware Pediatrics. Due to how well they treated me and my brother, Naturally I made this the Primary for my son. Fast forward to about 5 min ago when I was on the phone with a Nurse stating she can not help my son with what for sure is strep because we have been dropped. The only information I was given is that there is a past due balance which she could not give me any information on. My son is now getting ready to go to Medicare because he unknowingly does not have a Doctor. If you have good memories of how they used to be I assure you, this is no longer the case. I Strongly recommend you find a different doctor for your child or in their time of need you will have no one to turn to. read more

My sister and I who are in our mid 20s were seen here all of our childhood, since our first doctor's appointment in life. I now take my son here and he is always well taken care of by his doctor, the NPs and nurses. There is not one complaint I can think of. read more

This Office is a MESS from an administrative standpoint. Let me tell you - IF YOU ARE HAVING A BILLING ISSUE - COMMUNICATE IN WRITING. I have called this office on three occasions regarding the balance on my daughter's account. Each time I explained that my husband lost his job and I could not make the full payment. AT NO POINT IN TIME did ANYONE offer me a payment arrangement. Instead they sent my account off to collections. Then when I called to make my daughter's 9-month vaccination appointment, THEY REFUSED TO SEE HER UNLESS I PAID THE BALANCE! I then spoke the business office manager, GAIL, who claimed to HAVE NO RECORD OF THE CALLS I MADE - NOT ONE OF THEM! She went on to say that a payment arrangement SHOULD HAVE BEEN extended to me by her staff. NO ONE DID. NOT ONCE. SHE INSISTS her staff is trained to NOTE CALLS. Yet they did not. SHE KEPT DEFENDING HER STAFF, INSISTING on what they are trained to do, yet none of them did - NOT ONCE. I then asked if it would be better to communicate in writing in the future. She said I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO - and I AGREE. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO. Her staff should be competent enough to 1. TAKE A NOTE. and 2. TRY TO HELP PEOPLE WHEN THEN CALL TO SAY THEY ARE HAVING A FINANCIAL HARDSHIP.....If you're looking for an office that is efficient from an administrative standpoint, who is good at documenting your account, and communicating, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. YOU'LL HAVE TO WORK EXTRA HARD to accomplish SIMPLE THINGS. I'll be taking my children ELSEWHERE. read more

Not a fan! If you ask a question they act like you are stupid! My question was at 2 1/2 years what is done at that appointment. They said to me they require it for catch ups for shots and questions to see if the child is acting normal lol. She just got the last updated shots this appointment. Charging 5 bucks for 1 form!? Also when you test for led and give shots you should not pitch the child's finger to the point it makes them say ouch and cry lol. My little girl never says ouch even when she falls. read more

Delaware Pediatrics is the most wonderful Pediatrics in Buffalo, New York! The staff is very comforting, and the doctors are amazing. I don't have a specific favorite, I have four children and have seen them all and they are all wonderful. There may be a little bit of a wait to see the doctor, and recommend asking how long when you enter the office, but it is worth to see such wonderful doctors. They have a really cool fish tank in the waiting room, and have recently opened another office in Transit which at times can be conveinent. Wouldn't take my children anywhere else! read more

I called to make a doctor's appointment for my kid and they said we'll be seen by the doctor. When we reached there, we were seen by the nurse and were not given any explanation. But of course, they charged the visit as doctor's visit. The nurse diagnosed the condition wrong and gave wrong medicine. Also, they advertise that they are open till 7.30 pm but I have never been able to get an appointment even at 5 pm, I have been told that the last appointment they could give me was 4.30 pm. When I said I can't make it, they suggested that I should go to urgent care. I took their suggestion but what a horrible suggestion that was, I had to wait 3 hours with my poor kid at urgent care to be seen, and again by a nurse and again wrong diagnosis. read more

I was a patient Kenmore before they merged. I decided as I had my own children to bring them to the current facility, because the doctors are absolutely wonderful. Their clean insightful educated caring and kind. Personally I wouldn't want my children going anywhere else but the staff they have is absolutely TERRIBLE. My 4 year old went in for shots last week and left traumatized and bleeding more then she should have. The male nurse stabbed her so hard I think he hit a blood vessle and I know that's common but he was unapologetic and just left the room without comforting my child or assuring her that she was ok. The nurses usually on the phone are very rude and act like they don't care about your concerns, then treat you unfairly for having questions someone not in the medical field would know. Especially nurse Kim, she has a tone in her voice when she answers the phone that proves she doesn't want to work their. Both of the Lynn nurses are rude and cold. They never smile and constantly have to prove you wrong. I've over heard nurses talking about patient issues on more then one occasion, or talking about each other. They're always gossiping and wispering amung eachother which makes us very uncomfortable. And the front desk is always losing forms and don't accuratly charge for visits. The doctors are amazing. I don't have anything bad to say about any if them, especially Dr zmuda. She's our favorite and probably the only reason we haven't left yet. Evaluate your employees. read more

My husband was taken care of at Delaware Pediatrics from birth to age 21, Dr. Putnam was his favorite. My daughter, who is now 41, was taken care of from birth to age 21. My three granddaughters ages 19, & 7 year olds who were born 3 months prematurely, along with our 3 yr. old micro preemie, have been taken care of since birth. I favor Dr. Hogan and my daughter favors Dr. Zmuda. In my experience, the nurses were a little bitchy at times during the years, but all in all ....the best of care. I've been recommending them for years and will continue to do so. read more

Currently trying to get my son into a new pediatricians office as we speak. I started taking my son to this office since his birth, we started to see Dr. Light, that ended quickly once I realized that she couldn't give me confidence in what we should do for our son when he was having bad acid reflux and said things like, "If you feel you should get him tested, then go ahead." Ummm .. i'm not the doctor you are, why don't you tell me what we should do. The front desk staff is so unprofessional. I've had to call and talk to a nurse many times and more than a few of the times I was told I'd get a call back and either it took hours or I never got a call back at all. Everyone looks miserable besides a select few of the doctors. I can't wait to get the hell out of here .. read more

I love Delaware Pediatrics!! We are very happy with the staff and doctor's. We have NEVER had a problem getting an appointment at either of their offices. Granted we may not be able to get the time we want every time we call, but I find them to be very accommodating. read more

We have been going to Delaware Peds for 10 yrs now. The doctors are friendly and seem genuinely concerned. The staff on the other hand is terrible. Some are unfriendly and downright mean. They are also not very knowledgeable or seem to know what is going on in their own office. My wife started calling them in September so that our two daughters could get the flu vaccine. She was told that they would not have it until November but to call back every couple of weeks. The next call yielded the same results and when my wife asked if we should get it somewhere else they told us that no one has it. Well a couple of weeks later during the next call, they still did not have it. We posted on Facebook to ask for help. Many people responded saying that their ped had it, including believe it or not, Delaware Pediatrics. Someone we knew just brought their child in for the flu mist. Fast forward to the next call that very same day. Their response: O yes we have the flu mist, you said you wanted the vaccine. Yes we did want the vaccine. We did not care if it was shot or mist. Well they say "the flu vaccine is the shot." Regardless of their misinformed terminology, they never offered us the mist when we were calling for a month. We did land up having our girls "vaccinated" with the mist. After, I asked the nurse about all that I explained above. She actually started arguing with me, raising her voice with my children right there. Then she handed me a copy of their "Vaccine Information Statement." It clearly states that the flu mist is a form of vaccine. They don't even know what they are talking about. As well the receptionist responded that they only have had the mist for the last two weeks, when in fact someone we know had it a month ago. So we will most likely be changing pediatricians due to this horrible customer service. They may view us as patients, but in fact we are customers that support their business. read more
