In fact they call them hearing instruments and they really are, in the right hands. He set a decibel maximum so loud noises wouldn't be jarring and he tweaked them to match my particular hearing loss. I had hearing aids about 12 years ago and they were really awful. They made everything shockingly loud and I wound up retuning them. So I was not expecting this to be helpful but my Dr, Dr Sarnov (another great Dr., btw )recommended I try again. I am SO GLAD I did! I feel 20 years younger! I was at a social event last evening, the same day I got them and I was able to hear all of the conversations in the room and because of this, I was able to make a little joke about the topic of conversation (dogs) and everyone laughed at my joke. I can't tell you how good that felt and I realized how much I had grown accustomed to missing. If you are thinking about it...do try them. But make sure you go to Morabito, where they really take the time to help you hear again.

There's a reason. My ear has been plugged since December 11th. My primary said I should go to an ENT. When I called for an appointment, I specifically said that my ear is plugged, at one point perforated ear drum that had drained a bit but was still plugged. Was told I had to have a hearing test first, why you ask? Because you said you have hearing loss. Doh, my ear is plugged, I also have tinatus which is much louder now, I just want my ear unplugged. Must have hearing test first, it's protocol. So I go, why are you here? Plugged ear. Audiologist, why are you here? Plugged ear, they told me I had to have a hearing test first, all I want is my ear unplugged. Test done, she starts to explain the results and I tell her I really don't care, all I want is my ear unplugged. See the quack who starts to explain the test results and I tell him, don't really care, I just want my ear unplugged. Looks in my ear, yes the perforation has healed. I tell him I've even done the plug your nose and blow to try and unplug it. Well keep on doing that. I looked at him and said that's it? Yup. Grabbed my purse and walked out. He sent a letter to my primary letting him know that I'll be following up with him, not a snowball's chance in hell. Avoid this place. Waste of time and money

We checked in, and the process was smooth and comforting. When you walk in, the smell of old cigarettes slaps you in the face, but other than that, the waiting room is serene and clean. We waited a little, then the nurse called my friends name and didn't say anything to me. This was her first major surgery, so she was naturally a bit nervous. They started prepping her for surgery and both of us were left wondering when we were going to say "goodbye" or even just a clarification of what was happening. The nurse only came out to tell me my friend needed help with something. Turns out, she needed to take off all her earrings before surgery, which was not communicated to us at anytime before arriving. The earrings had been put on by the piercer at the jewelry shop and were very difficult to take off. After about 20 minutes, we pried the earrings off. It definitely would have been more painless and less difficult to have been notified earlier. After the earring debacle, I just stayed with her in the prep room while the IV was places and other various prepping procedures were administered. We then had the chance to say goodbye before the actual surgery. All in all, the experience was quite nice. The staff and the nurses were very pleasant!! Would definitely recommend.

I've got a long tale to tell that involves a broken toe (dang that delicious Jamaican rum while on…read moreholiday and I lost track of my foot walking into the door!), that went untreated ... and I rolled my foot to protect it, which led to too much pressure on that side of the foot and a pinched nerve b/w two toes. And then we all came home for the pandemic and I stopped wearing shoes on my wooden floors (no cushioning) AND started doing Barre-exercise (like ballet, up on toes and ball of foot), which made that pinched nerve so aggravated, that I walked funny on my ankle to accommodate. Which led to my calf getting weird b/c of the ankle ... which led to my knee getting weak and sloppy to accommodate the calf and ankle and pinched nerve and now-healed-broken-toe. Then my hip was affected, and next thing you know, the sciatic nerve is involved and I've got lower back pain! HOW DID I FIGURE ALL THIS OUT? you ask ..... and how can I sit here, pain-free, and type what's getting ready to be a glowing review? Why Callan-Harris PT, of course!!!! Sarah Carlton has been JUST great at deducing what was wrong ... how it happened ... and how to fix it. I have a battery of strengthening and stretching exercises that have been TRANSFORMATIVE how much they've helped, and that I enjoy so much, I actually have no doubt I'll keep doing long past my sessions with Sarah. If you're in back, neck, shoulder, hip, leg, foot pain, I highly recommend Callan-Harris ... and I specifically recommend working with Sarah Carlton!

Dr. Lindahl answered all of my questions. He was kind and thorough. I had cataract surgery on February 26, 2026 and March 13, 2025, am seeing like I haven't in years and need no glasses. He is an excellent surgeon! The women who work with him are wonderful! I got to meet Maggie, Beth, Laura, Denise, Angie, Kim, as well as Deb and Monique at the front desk.
