Of particular note is Dr. Karolina Lis-Hyjek who is a practioner of functional medicine. There are only a few doctors in Rochester that take that approach, and if you can see a doctor that does it really makes a huge difference in your health care and overall health. Problems that other doctors were not addressing because they seemed unreated suddenly make sense. "Functional Medicine is a systems biology-based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. Each symptom or differential diagnosis may be one of many contributing to an individual's illness." (The quote is from a page defining what funtional medicine is.) Doesn't that sound like a better idea than just treating problems one by one, not knowing what the overall cause is and how they are related? I hope more doctors will take this approach in the future. At last check, unfortionatly Dr. Karolina Lis-Hyjek was not taking new patients, because everyone who sees her tries to refer their friends and relatives. If she does ever have openings for new patients, I would highly reccomend her. Other doctors who I have seen when she was unavailable have also been nice, and the nurses and office staff here have been very friendly and helpful overall.

Parking in front and behind the building. Smaller lobby area with a new self sign in machine. The receptionists are the best, so down to earth and friendly... they become family. Dr. Booth has the best bed side manner of any professional in the medical field I've ever experienced. Her passion and kindness in any situation is remarkable. I've been going here for routine physical exams, sick visits, immunizations and flu shots. They always get me in for sick visits, common colds and sore throats ... or refills on meds.
