I recently brought my dog here for a grooming service, after seeing the fantastic reviews here on yelp. I am SO happy I did! They took such great care of my dog; really took their time on him, using sensitive shampoos on him since he is still a pup. My dog came home looking and smelling like a million bucks, and I now have found my regular groomer here. What a great place and convenient location. Started bringing my 6 month old puppy here for half-day day care (up to six hours) here and she is loving it! The prices are reasonable and the staff has been so nice. They have a grooming service as well which I've used once and was quite happy with. Lots of options for treats and toys as well if needed. We've been bringing our corgi Brando here every month for the past three years. He gets his bath, haircut, nails cut, and teeth cleaned by the groomers here. Our current whose name is Alex does such a great job with Brando! And Brando is always excited to visit him and healthy spot every month. Alex is attentive and does everything that is asked! Brando smells SO Goood and looks so clean each time. My dog and I had an enjoyable shopping experience today. There was a dog daycare session which could be seen through the front window and it immediately caught our attention as we arrived. We purchased the 3 containers of Swell Blackberry Dog Gelato that were in the small refrigerator. Nice selection and presentation of food, treats, toys. Knowledgeable customer service from the employee who helped us. Asked if he could take a pic of the daycare dogs since I wasn't able to due to the glare in the window. I posted one of the pics he took. I am debating whether or not to give 4 or 5 stars but I think I'll go with 5. I was initially across the street at the Whole Foods shopping center trying to find your store. Just so you know, California Pizza Kitchen is in the same shopping center as Healthy Spot and provides a good landmark. Did know before coming in that you don't sell Solid Gold dog food since I looked online, so purchased it elsewhere on the way home. read more

I've always loved this shop, beautiful outdoor "mall" near Trader Joe's and CPK. It's great to try on harnesses collars and coats instead of online returns. I brought my new puppy in and let her choose her own bed. She picked out Nandog Pet Gear. Inexpensive but great quality and appearance. My point in doing this review was to let folks know that it machine washed and dried and it looks as good as new. Turns out it is also reversible so you can pop it inside out and voila a brand new look in case your bed has gotten a stain. The young man who helped us was awesome. First time using the salon for my dog. He's a cavalier /cocker mix and his hair is medium. I asked for a summer cut, and they did a beautiful job. He has a lot of moles, and they didn't nick any of them. I brought my own shampoo as he has skin allergies bad, they had no problem with my instructions on using this special shampoo. I went back to return an item my cat didn't like. Trying to return something here was a torture. Even tho I have the texted receipt, the guy couldn't find it and what should of been an easy task, was tedious. I don't know if the guy was not properly trained, but until I got the attention of the other gentleman that previously helped me, it almost seemed like he was doubting my purchase. This situation reminded me why I don't shop at healthy spot, even tho they carry the high end pet items I like to purchase. The guy that previously helped me found my receipt (and the interaction became pleasant with the guy who couldn't find it) and confirmed the 4 last digits of my CC number but didn't need the card present to return my money back. I worked retail for many years and the companies were never comfortable with having that feature (one being Nordies). That makes me extremely uncomfortable. I will keep shopping at Centinela down the street and at chewy (sent to my door and wonderful sales). read more

Kendall is an amazing groomer! She's our go to gal to make my cocker spaniel adorable.

I had just adopted my sweet girl from a shelter and Roxanne cleaned her up so well! I let her know beforehand that she could be leash reactive, but never aggressive. It was my first time getting her groomed since I adopted her and I couldn't recommend Roxanne enough. She really took her time to listen to all the precautions and let me know she'd take it slow. She even let me know there was a one-time discount for adopted dogs if you bring your paperwork. This really spoke volumes that they weren't just in it for the money and that they actually care about your fur babies. Afterwards, she even gave me a run down of how she did and checked in with me about if I liked the length of her coat. cannot recommend Tati enough!!!! She is the ONLY person I trust to groom my pup. My pup always feels like his best self after a spa day with her! I will drive 1+ hrs to get my pup into her hands. I kid you not, I look at my pup at least 30x's a day after a fresh groom and can't get over how freaking handsome he is. He probably gets so annoyed of me lol. We had Roxanne and she did a beautiful job on introducing him to the grooming world. She comes out to meet you and puppy, find out what you'd like done and then walks them back. We have since been back 2 more times to see Roxanne. My dog loves her, he's excited to go into Healthy Spot and even gives her kisses when we leave. She does a beautiful job on his wash, blow dry and trim. I have been going here since 2016 to get my dog groomed. I like them so I keep going back and have provide a 5 start review in the past. The reason for this 3 start review is the pricing. They have increased there pricing very often and without informing their customers. Every time there's a price increase, I only find out at the register. Like yesterday, the prices was $120 for a small dog groom. I asked if the price went up and they said yes. I'm not complaining about the price increase, it's their choice to do increase (which seems to be very often) and my choice to keep going or not. What I have an issue is that they don't tell you or post it. The worker had to pull out a chart to show me. Why can't that chart be posted somewhere? Overall, they do a good job and I like coming here but any more price increases and I'll be looking for a new place, they aren't doing anything super special but are friendly and clean which is of value to a point. read more

Johnny was so friendly and helpful! And Haydee did another amazing job grooming my dog. My dog was a rescue and it's been taking him a while to get used to having a family and being handled. I'm sorry that I dont remember the name of the first person who groomed Navi, because he did an awesome job. The 2nd time we went, Erica bathed Navi, and she came out smelling so good, so happy, and I'm beyond satisfied. Everyone here is so professional, helpful, kind. They have the best selection of cute toys and yummy treats also. It very much has a high end feel, and it's SUCH a different experience than I've had taking my dog to other places for grooming. Roxanne was our groomer. She was so sweet to me and my fluffy baby so I felt comfortable knowing she was in good hands. Once we established the look that she usually has I left and ran errands while my fur kid received her spa treatment. I usually have a mobile groomer but there was an issue with booking so my sister had to find someone available with good reviews in a short amount of time. we've been coming to healthy spot for a few years now and our dogs always come out looking great! kendall is our current groomer (previous one just moved locations) and honestly both of them have done a great job handling our lil anxious baby. kendall is super diligent if we need any changes from the regular/past cuts. rambo doesn't like his face being touched too much so it's totally understandable if sometimes his muzzle hair is a lil uneven but, if it's really noticeable kendall is always happy to fix it when i ask! tbh the entire staff here are so sweet, from jenny (salon manager) to even just the different cashiers that greet us! i think jenny creates a super friendly environment because she doesn't just make small talk, she actually remembers what we've talked about from past visits now, i will say even i think it's a lil on the pricey side but, i think it's well worth it. the one and only time we tried finding a cheaper place and we ended up having to pay more with a vet visit so if you're not sure because of the price, i definitely think it's so worth it to just try this place out, even just once! also note, that each groomer has their own record of how they groom their clients. so don't expect one groomer to know how a diff groomer handled your pet! read more
