We just had our first service with Sharon and we can't wait to go back. We've already booked additional appointments. We reached out to Sharon to try to find a place to clip our pups nails. She was able to accommodate us last minute and was so helpful and kind to our pups. Both of our pups are anxious and need extra patience when being handled. We were able to come in and be with them during the process since it was their first time - and at the end, our puppy who would normally scream and yipe when getting his nails cut was actually starting to relax a tiny bit. My first impression about Sharon is that she was nice and helpful when I called in regarding setting up an appointment. Unfortunately my interaction turned negative. My immediate family member had an heart attack and I had texted her that I had to cancel 2 hours before our appointment. She did state that if I needed anything to call or text her. Of course I was focused on my family and not about getting my dogs groomed. Her response was rude and unprofessional. Sharon is THE BEST! I would give her 10 stars if I could. The first time I took my puppy, Luna, to get groomed was at a PetSmart... She was terrified when I dropped her off with an unfriendly crew member, she was crying when I picked her up, and they charged me an extra $10 "handlers fee" which I can only imagine was aggressive. After that experience, I never wanted to take Luna to a groomer again. After bathing Luna at home (which is always a two-person job), my brother recommended I give Sharon a try because his pups love her. I know Luna is a lot to handle (she's a puppy!), but Sharon happily and successfully give her a bath AND a haircut by herself! She went out of her way to ensure Luna felt comfortable and when I picked her up, Luna was SMILING! It felt like such a relief. So thankful to have found Sharon! She goes above and beyond. It was our first time using her services and we couldn't be happier. She deep cleaned Reina's ears which no groomer has ever done as well as her teeth. My fur baby hates getting her teeth brushed so I'm glad Sharon has some sort of liquid she just applies to the teeth that removes the grime. I came here Thursday to take my poodle mix in for a haircut. I explained over the phone to her that he had some mats that needed to come out. When I arrived she said how did you let your dog get like this mats hurt there skin. She then proceeded to say that I need to give him cbd to cut him because he's in pain, all while brushing my dogs hair and he's just sitting there not whining or anything. Yes he does have some mats however I have taken him to many groomers in his 7 years of life and never once have I been treated like a bad dog owner or been uncomfortable leaving my dog with them. She told me she wanted to shave my dogs hair completely off and I didn't agree with that. So we left and i decided to cut his hair myself instead of trying to find another groomer. She charged my card as a NO SHOW when I showed up. I understand a small charge not a 80 dollar charge when you didn't cut my dogs hair. This is the text she sent me and my dogs hair before and after I cut it myself and yes he looks a little ridiculous but better than nothing. Would never recommend anyone to her. read more

I highly recommend this place for any difficult dogs! I have a 6 month golden and she is a rambunctious little one so I have had trouble finding a good groomer that will treat my pup with care. I searched for 2 days on Yelp, and even though these other groomers had 4 - 4.5 star ratings, the comments were a little suspicious. Sharon is awesome and the best groomer in OC! I l have a 16 lb male shitzu poodle and have been going to her for almost 3 years now since my pup was only 3lbs. I love how passionate, caring, and knowledgeable she is when it comes all her clients. My dog is a bit feisty and not the easiest to work with but I appreciate her patience and willingness to work with him by suggesting calming treats and CBD oils which was quite effective! She also uses a calming spray during the grooming session which helps too. I also appreciate her genuine advice and for pointing out abnormalities during her services because sometimes we just do not realize the ear infection or the subtle rashes or lumps on our dogs! So I'm just so thankful when she let me know about my pup's ears and I was able to get him treated before the infection got worst. Last but not least, my parents and I just love how handsome he looks and how good he smells when he comes home from the groomers. The wonderful blueberry scent would linger for days and it's awesome! I'm a sucker when it comes to aromatherapy and essential oils and I definitely purchased the blueberry facial foam and spray from the shop! We had the best experience at Paws above the rest today! Little background, our last pup had a huge fear of groomers after having a terrible first experience. It was super important to me that we take our new puppy to a safe, comfortable place that she'd be happy to return to. Today our fur baby Penny had her first appointment with Sharon and it was great! Penny didn't seem nervous, and I even got a video of her get blown dry and she wasn't even fazed! Our pup is a German shepherd, husky, retriever mix so she sheds a TON and Sharon did a great job lightening up her coat but still keep her fur long and gorgeous. Plus she smells GREAT!
