The Paw lounge is great. The first time I brought my dog in was for a quick nail trim. No appointment necessary. As soon as we arrived they took my dog and cut her nails immediately, no wait! We were in and out in about ten minutes. I was so pleased with how kind and friendly the staff were, I decided to bring my dog back for a bath. I was nervous because my last two experiences with my dog's baths resulted in her breaking out in hives. (Different groomer). And although Lucy would come home smelling very nice, the product scent was very strong. I think as she's gotten older, her skin is just more sensitive. I decided to take a chance and I'm glad I did! No overpowering scent, just a clean fresh smell and no breakouts! The staff is very friendly and you can tell they enjoy what they Thank you Paw Lounge! Update: October 2,2019 After a week of calling to try and get an appointment for my dog, I was finally able to speak with someone. The hours posted say the business is open until 5 (or5:30). The person I spoke to said I could bring my dog in at 3:30 for a nail trim. I show up at exactly 3:30 and the door is locked. The "open" sign is on, as well as the lights inside. I knock a couple of times with no answer. I proceed to call and again, no answer. I wait outside for ten minutes and call a few more times hoping someone will either come to the door or answer the phone. I decide to call one last time and leave a voicemail but the mailbox is full. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed as we had had such a great experience before. Not sure why they won't just change hours of service. I will not be coming back here again. read more

I've walked in to see groomers screaming at their puppies, dogs that are cut, unfinished, itchy, terrified, BUT let me tell you this....THIS PLACE ROCKS! My dog was so happy to see me, but not shaking at all! He was cut EXACTLY like I asked and he smells and feels amazing. I will definitely be back again!! We love JESSICA!!!!!! My crazy silky/Yorkie mix is high strung. Hates when anyone touches her paws. But Jessica always does such a great job grooming her. We usually go with short cut around the body and a teddy bear look for her face. I don't know how Jessica does it with my crazy fur child, but thank you times a hundred!!!! Troy and the crew are great! We called when they opened and they had a slot open today and were happy to take in mace and Maui. They were both pretty haggard and shaggy and also their first grooming experience was not the best at Belmont pets in long beach, so I was a little hesitant taking them to another groomer. Also Belmont pets is a rip off. Troy was great with them though! Mace looks awesome, and Maui was a little feisty and wasn't able to get his full cut in that day because he has anxiety issues so Troy told us to give him some pills to calm him down and bring him back the next day which was great! We have them for him because he is crazy. He didnt charge us for Maui, because he wasn't fully finished yet which is great. Mace was $40 flat and came out outstanding. They're pricing is very reasonable, customer service is top notch, and they care about every animal that walks in or out! Great to know I have a groomer for both of my pups now! read more

Troy caught the concern and notified us about it when we picked her up from her grooming appointment. Minx is now minus 14 teeth, but she's much more comfortable. I have used groomers for the last 20 years or so and this establishment has got to be one of the worse I have ever come across. I first called to schedule an appointment and was told by the owner, Troy, that he was on his way to the bank and he would call me back within 30 minutes so I could schedule an appointment. I never received a call back. Against my better judgement, I called the next day and was able to secure an appointment for my dog. When I dropped my dog off, I told the groomer if he ran into any mats or burrs to just shave it off and not to spend a lot of time trying to de-matt. I left, went home, and received a call about 15 minutes later and was told to come pick up my dog because he had too many burrs, and he didn't want to spend all day on him. Mind you, we both went over the dog before I left, and he did have some burrs, but it's summer and most all dogs get them this time of year. What??? He doesn't want to groom a dirty dog?? When I arrived, my dog was sopping wet, apparently they started to bathe him, and then decided to stop. Most decent groomers brush the dog out first before they even get them wet. Apparently, they did not brush him out first, just squirted water on him and then decided he was too dirty and then called me and said to pick him up. So I went and picked up a sopping wet dog. I should have never decided to give this place a chance and stuck with my regular groomer. I then called my regular groomer, who happily told me to bring my dog in. I brought him in and she looked him over and said, he's fine. Most dogs have burrs this time of year and that he was just a dirty dog that needed a bath and a clip. This is a dog groomer.. do they expect a perfect dog to be dropped off? If you actually have a dog that needs to be groomed, don't take them to this establishment. Make sure your dog is clean first and then I'm sure they will happily take your money. read more
