After a bad experience at another groomer's place where they kept clipping her nails to the quick and trimming my Scottie like a Schnauzer (with a strange, bushy tail that was NOT a carrot shape), my girl was afraid. I found Holly, and it was a perfect match. First order of business was earning my girl's trust, letting her explore off leash, and getting comfortable. Not too long after that, my girl would get SO excited just to hear we were going to see Holly. She'd eagerly scratch at the door if they didn't get there to open it quickly enough for her. She'd even give Holly kisses in the face (my girl doesn't even give ME kisses on the face)! Every groom was gorgeous, and my Scottie always got compliments wherever she we went. We even went to a groomer out if state to have her nails trimmed while on vacation over the holidays. The owner of the shop was so impressed with the cut and wanted to know where I had taken her. My girl and I are so sad that Holly has closed her doors. Not only will we miss the excellent work, but we will also miss her and Mik on a personal level. It's hard for Scottie parents to find good groomers who know how to do a breed-standard Scottie groom, but to also love, respect, and adore the dogs they groom. The next groomer we find will have big shoes to fill. read more

I highly recommend Hollywood Dog Spa at Springdale and Westminster. We had to find a new groomer when our previous groomer was injured. We tried Hollywood simply because of how close to home it is and we were really pleased with the results. Our girl has become a grouchy old lady and they were so good with her she actually fell asleep while being dried!! She's so happy when we pick her up and shows no sign of anxiety or upset whenever she goes. Such a relief as she continues to age! Give them a try! read more

Pros: - quick response - communicate price and services clearly - impressive turn around time for their work - my dogs came out SHINING and smelled amazing - kind staff! Great with dogs. One of my dogs pooped on the floor after getting washed (so embarrassing) and they were so nice about it and were careful so he wouldn't step on it. Cons: - I don't really have any really! It's not cheap but you get what you pay for here. - it smells like weed or incense in there... I don't know if my dog got smoke boxed or was given an edible because she was super chilled out and weird after. still not really a con for me.... but if they did, I would hope they would have told me! read more

I am so lucky to have a pet sitter and dog groomer who loves my little Bug as much as I do. I have seen so many breeds groomed by Holly and each looks ready for a grooming competition! Holly has won many awards for her grooming but what I love about her style is her HEART. She puts 110% into every client. If you are looking for a place where your pup is free to play with other doggies while they wait to get their fur done, this is the place for you. Bug gets socialized and comes home looking fantastic (and smelling fantastic, too!). Our dogs are our babies. Avoid the abuse at the hands of the corporate Petsmart "salon" and bring your dog to a REAL groomer: Holly! Thank you for always making Bug look her best! I don't know how you do it! read more

I will never take Duke, my mini schnauzer, anywhere else. Holly has been cutting him for over a year now and he absolutely loves going to Hollywood Dog spa. A mini schnauzer hair cut is pretty in depth and he's always done in a timely manner and the cut is perfect everytime. I am also obsessed with whatever products they use bc everytime I pick him up he smells amazing and is so clean!! I don't know how they do it. The pricing is exactly what it should be and I feel like Duke is apart of their family which makes me so happy. read more

I took my boy in for his first groom here today and I'm so glad that i found this place. Holly and Mic are amazing and gifted at what they do. I could sense the love they have for animals the moment I walked in and I knew right away that my Huckleberry would be in good hands with them. The transformation just blew my mind! The wonderful, down to earth personalities that Holly and Mic have along with the skills they posess will definitely keep me coming back. I will be referring everyone i know to them. read more

I'm so happy I found Holly. I took both of my dogs to her for the spa treatment. My older dog who is blind suffers from anxiety when he is taken out of his comfort areas (due to being blind) Holly was so sweet to him. She held him and talked to him, making him instantly happy and comfortable. It's hard finding a groomer that feels comfortable taking care of a special doggie like mine. My older dog was in great need of a good bath and grooming. Holly transformed him. I swear I have never had a groomer leave him the way she did. His cut was AMAZING. My puppy only got a wash and dry because I didn't want a haircut for her yet. She looked so cute and fluffy. I highly recommend Holly, you will not be disappointed. I took my ten year old Cockapoo in for a grooming. She had not been groomed for months. She had little knots here and there throughout her coat and some small mats. Holly did a great job! My dog liked like a puppy. She came out so cute and happy. When I got home, I noticed a little nick near the top of her muzzle. I didn't think anything of it. Then. My dog started scratching it. In just a couple hours it was bleeding. I called Holly and asked her what I should do. She was very apologetic and asked if I could bring Hope back. I did, and once again she said she was sorry and put this cream on the spot, then she gave me the jar of cream. She also loaned us a cone for her head to use until she was better. Only after a maybe 4 hours of the cone being on, her spot look 90% better. I continued to use the cream through the night. The next morning she was fine. I am very happy how she handled the situation. She even said if I wanted to see a vet, she'd pay for the charges. I declined. It was really nothing big. Great integrity. I will be coming back! Plus, I still need to return the cone. read more

Wow! I am so happy I brought my pup here, especially after he had a traumatic experience with his last groomer. Holly and her husband are super nice and treat your dog like a super star. Hanzo (my pup) left there super happy! The last place he was skiddish and wasn't the same for a month. Hanzo s haircut is perfect not to long and not to short. I'm so glad I found his new groomers. Can't wait for October so he can get his Mohawk for Halloween. Thanks again for the wonderful job you did and I will definitely be back. read more

I wish I could give 100 stars. Holly has been caring for my pets for years! She makes them beautiful and TRULY loves them and cares for them Her knowledge of grooming, training and all things dogs is unparalleled. I would never go anywhere else. I have recommended her to all my friends and they all are clients now. No one is better than Hollywood Dog Spa! read more

BEST PLACE FOR MY PUPS EVER!!!! Holly and Mic have found their calling. Not only are they amazing at what they do, they enjoy it, love my pups, and treat them with kindness and much love. Turned away my dog after dragging me down there for a consultation and then told me that she really only likes to hand strips dogs that are show dogs and are already kept up every week. Why not tell me that in the first place? Apparently if it takes too long it's not worth her time! Also referred me to another groomer who never bothered to return my phone call. This business is one of the most unprofessional I've ever interacted with. Aggressive and vulgar.

Before and after pics to show how badly they messed up my girlfriend's dog. This shouldn't even be my business, but the groomer disrespected us by telling my girlfriend and her sister that they're bad owners for a garbage job she did??? Expensive, terrible quality, and horrible customer service. We had an appointment for 2 pm, called in to check at 5 pm (3 hours later) and our dog, Stella, wasn't even touched yet. Then the groomer proceeds to do a half-ass job, shaves her with patches everywhere, and blames us for rushing her when we only called in to check up after it's been 3 hours. She also left Stella in a cage, wet, to air dry, and leaves her tail untouched. Our dog came home traumatized after that day and was not the same as before. It is so evident and clear that she was mistreated. Horrible experience and still received no refund. Don't go here if you actually care about your dog. Trashy people, garbage environment. read more

WOW! I can't believe my good fortune to have found Holly. My dog Sandy adores her, and the service Holly provides is not only the best for grooming but the LOVE she showers on Sandy is what we all want for these furry family members. Holly also lets Sandy play with other dogs while she is there, which is a bonus. Not just sitting in a crate, waiting for her turn, but free to roam. read more
