I was also offered beverages several times and checked on to make sure I was well and comfy. The entire staff was friendly & so we're most of the clients. One client even sat and chatted with me while he enjoyed a nice flute of champs. I snuck peaks at my baby girl who looked pleasantly relaxed each time I played spy. It looked like a total spa day for her. When I knew she was almost done I went to the nearby market. I was completely unmissed because when I came back my little girl was still happily vibing with her new friend. I saw people use the self service wash which looked amazingly stocked. I usually self wash my baby somewhere else, but decided she was at a point where we would both benefit from a real groomer. So glad we did. When all was said and done Elli looked amazing! Unfortunately, the service we've received over the past several months has declined so dramatically that we can no longer trust this business with our three dogs. When Leah left, the owner, Joanne, personally assured my wife and me that nothing would change and that Maze, Buddy, and Denahi would continue to receive the same level of care we'd always experienced. That promise was not kept. The last two visits were the final straw. On one visit, we were told that senior dogs took priority, which resulted in us not being able to pick up our dogs until approximately 8:30 p.m. On the next visit, we were told cats had delayed the schedule, and once again we weren't able to pick up our dogs until nearly 9:00 p.m. Those aren't reasonable pickup times, especially when customers have planned their entire day around your schedule. Every business runs into unexpected situations. What separates a great business from a poorly run one is communication and accountability. We received neither. What disappointed us even more was the complete lack of follow-through. My wife called specifically asking to speak with Joanne. She was told Joanne would return her call within a couple of days. That phone call never came. No explanation. No apology. No acknowledgment. Nothing. That silence spoke volumes. Loyal customers deserve better than excuses, broken promises, and being ignored. We spent years supporting this business because we believed our dogs were in good hands. Loyalty should mean something. Instead, it felt like once they had our business, our concerns simply didn't matter. The most frustrating part is that this didn't have to end this way. A simple phone call. An honest conversation. An apology. Taking responsibility. Any one of those things could have gone a long way. Instead, we were left feeling dismissed and unimportant after years of supporting this business. We didn't make the decision to leave lightly. Finding a groomer you trust with your pets isn't easy, and we truly hoped we'd never have to look elsewhere. Sadly, Joanne's lack of communication and declining customer service left us with no choice. If you're considering Purrfect Pet Parlor, understand that our experience has been one of declining service, poor communication, broken promises, and a complete disregard for long-time customers. Elle clearly knows dogs, haha. But when I picked her up, she couldn't be more chill! PARKING: So turns out you can stop at the red loading zone right in front for pickup/drop-off, & Elle even explained that if the police pull up, they'll bat for you as a client who was literally unloading a dog, LOL. I didn't see the text about the loading zone & ended up parked a few blocks down the street, because parking in this area is a struggle. Use the loading zone! Save yourself! When we arrived, the groomer, Gloria, greeted us warmly, really listened to what I wanted, and immediately understood exactly what my pup needed. When I picked him up, I was blown away. He looked AMAZING--calm, happy, and honestly like he didn't even want to leave. I love that they're kennel-free, so the dogs aren't locked up before or after grooming. That alone gave me so much peace of mind. This was hands-down the best haircut he's ever had. Not a single nick or cut (which sadly has happened at other groomers), and the entire staff made me feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for. We were quoted about 2 and half hour or so which she'll call us 20 minutes before hand to let us know he'll be ready soon. Freddie Mercury was in good hand. Picking him up, he was such a cutie. The bathing, cut and grooming was great. Nails were cut and file for that nice finished look. Also he had the cutest little bow tie on which was the little icing on the cake. From the chat on Yelp, Sara explained all the pricing and services ahead of time to give us the breakdown. As it was our first time, she did take good care of us with everything. Total for everything and extra add on including gratuity and discounts for first time, it was just short of 130.00. Price wise for everything was good. It was worth it and her service was very well worth it. Even though we're not from the area and it was a last minute appointment, we're keeping her in our book as we'll be back in town again and know Freddie will be in good hands next time. The place was very professional and clean. There's a drinks section with a mini fridge of drinks and a water station for refilling your bottles and coffee machine.
