He told me about a past dating partner who used "old pictures from before she got fat" and called her a bitch. Then he promoted his auto detailing business to me and told me that he cleans "the wife's car first, then the husband's!" I am not interested in hearing misogynistic and patriarchal nonsense. The grooming on my husky itself was absolutely fantastic, but I couldn't give a five star review for a few reasons: 1. I was told it would be $80 for her grooming when I scheduled the appointment. There was no mention made that this was an estimate that was subject to change and after they bathed her, I received a call that it would be $95. As a first time customer, I think it would have been more appropriate given the lack of communication to honor the original quote and let me know that going forward, the quote was subject to change. For the record, I'm using to paying $60 for grooming and deshedding treatment, so $95 felt shockingly high. 2. When I arrived to pick her up between work appointments, there was a sign saying cash or check only and the owner's husband asked me if I needed to go get cash. Thankfully I had a check with me, but if you're not accepting card, I recommend communicating that up front. I wouldn't have had time to go get another payment method and still be able to make my next meeting. 3. The owner's husband spends WAY too much time talking about his personal and life experiences. Not to be rude, but I'm here to get a service for my dog and get on with my life and I had to cut him off in the middle of a story so that I could leave in time to make my next meeting. Again, the grooming service itself was excellent, but not sure I'll come back given the overall experience. read more

I originally took my dog in for a simple schnauzer cut a few days ago. Her beard was just a tad too long, so I brought her back in to have it trimmed. When I got her back, almost her entire beard was SHAVED OFF. Not only was it shaved with clippers (any good groomer knows that a schnauzer cut requires scissors for the eyebrows and beard), but it was incredibly uneven as well. She had long patches in her beard where it didn't match at all. I also asked for her back to be trimmed a bit shorter, but the staff refused, saying a short back results in schnauzer bumps. As someone who actually works in a veterinary clinic, this is untrue. Schnauzer bumps are considered hereditary, and my dog shouldn't have been refused a shorter cut because of a myth. Overall, I had a terrible experience here. It'll take months for my dog's beard to grow back, I'll definitely never take her here again. read more

Five stars are just not enough! The best groom my goldendoodle has ever gotten. That is just the end result thoe, the entire experience was flawless. First Deb asked if I would like to bring Bear in for an assessment, I did and she detailed what he needed in a grooming and how she thought he should be cut, we made an appointment. I was so wonderfully surprised when I picked him up, he looked awesome. I usually like the long messy look, but Debra made him look beautiful with a shorter cut. About a week after his grooming, Debra made a follow-up call to ensure Bear was ok after his visit and to make sure I was ok with his cut! I have never received a follow-up call from a groomer. I've had several referrals to Go Dog Go but they did not tell me that Deb is a magician. I HIGHLY recommend Go Dog Go for your fur baby beautification, they will love it and so will you. They had the dog for 4 hours and though she smelled good, the result was far below what I expected for $65 and clear instructions on what my mom expected. Deborah is the most wonderful groomer for our labradoodle! Our dog loves her so much she jumps out of the car when we pull up to the shop. We tried many other groomers (who cut and trimmed our labradoodle making her look weird) before our friend told us about how Deborah is the best with doodles. Really wanted to like this place. Had a nice chat to schedule first appointment, only the lady forgot to actually schedule it. When we took our dog to drop off, no record of our appt! yet all my information (given on this 7 minute phone call) was somehow there written down. After many minutes, theyagreed to let us leave our dog for grooming. (Gee, thanks!) No apologies given. Was told we needed current rabies info on the phone when "scheduling" and was told "nah, we don't need that" when dog was dropped off. Ultimately, was not happy with the cut. Barely trimmed, missed many a spot that I had to trim up myself when he came home. Will have to take this pup to another groomer within the month. Yes, mistakes happen, appointments get forgotten, but with no apology nor concern, it is clear our business is neither appreciated nor needed. From reading the reviews, it seems this place has taken a turn for the worse. Back to the drawing board. read more

Very unprofessional. 1) It is difficult to make an appointment. Sometimes no one answers; other times, the person who answers seems to not have authority to schedule appointments. It's always, "I'll call you back in a few minutes," but they call back the next day. Then when you tell them the day and time you want the appointment, they have to call you back again! 2) The first time husband dropped off the dogs there, he said that the place was so packed with dogs, he hesitated leaving our dogs there. 3) They cancelled our appointment at the last minute, because they wanted to close the shop early on Saturday. Literally, when we were getting the dogs ready to get in the car to go, we got the call to cancel. THE LONGER VERSION: We had scheduled the appointment three weeks in advance because it was the only day/time that would work for us. We were having a party at our house that day, and we planned to drop the dogs off before the party and pick them up afterwards. Our appointment was for a Saturday at 1:30 p.m. On the Friday before the appointment, they called and asked if we could bring our dogs in earlier in the morning instead of at our appointment time in the afternoon. They said that they did not have a lot of dogs scheduled and they wanted to close the shop early. We explained that we had scheduled it on that day and at that time three weeks in advance, because it was the only time that would work for us, and no we would not be able to drop them off earlier that day, because we were setting up for a party. They very reluctantly said, "Ok, we'll let the appointment stand then." As if THEY were doing US a huge favor to honor the appointment they made three weeks ago! We were like, "Do they want our business or not?" I guess the answer was "not." About 20 minutes before our appointment, they called to cancel. They made up some lousy story about one of the groomers calling in sick, so they were short handed. We knew it was a lie, because they had called the day before and said they wanted to close early. So, we had smelly, dirty dogs at our house during the party. Thanks a lot Go Dogs Go. You go ahead and keep closing early on Saturdays. (I'm sure that works really well for a small business.) We'll take our dogs to someone who wants them and where our business will be appreciated. read more

I've been a semi-regular (my neighbor takes his two dogs every other week) with my own two dogs - an occasional bath, and the annual Spring Sheering (for a Lhasa apso who turns Rastafarian over the colder winter months, and a shitzu who is nicknamed "Pig Pen" due to an inability to stay clean). As a rule, the place is in demand, so you need to make an appointment at least a few days in advance (and only the elite are accepted for grooming on Mondays). While slightly more expensive than some of the competition, the results are excellent: I have never picked up my dogs to find them sporting a "new wave" do or looking like another breed. In full disclosure, I have had one bad experience with one of the groomers (her attitude, not the results), but I don't think she is still employed there. Lots and lots of return customers (including me). read more
