Do you have any herbal medicine for a dog with a heart murmor?

Hello Azra. There are holistic options to help support patients with heart concerns. Is there a way we may contact you directly to discuss your concerns to better determine if we can help?

Do you treat ear infections ? My veterinarian was treating my labradoodle ear infection for 6 months and I'm not sure it's gone! Thank you.

Hello Irena. Thank you for your question. We can definitely help with ear infections but we take a holistic approach in doing so, attempting to get to the root cause of the recurrent or non healing infections. Please give us a call at the office… Read more

*This is for Natural Pet in Downers Grove, and somehow the name was changed. Makes me wonder if it…read morewas a way for this negative review to not easily be found. I brought my pets to Dr Katz in 2017 and it's taken me years to construct a calm review, based on facts. Read the negative reviews about Natural Pet in Bourbonnais - in my experience, they're accurate. This practice used to be owned by Dr Karen Becker who had a thriving holistic practice in Bourbonnais. Dr Becker sold it to Dr Katz... This was my experience: *Dr Katz set a timer so we were talking over one another trying to beat the clock like a bad game show. *I was charged 50 for 15 minutes was way too expensive - even for a holistic vet. *She misdiagnosed ringworm twice, resulting on it spreading to myself and my children. *The examination rooms and scales were not clean, or not cleaned between animals. She examined my kittens on the floor, (there weren't tables in the room), where there was other pet hair. Pet hair on the small scale too. *She refused to answer my calls and provide guidance after ringworm had spread to my other kitten - even though I had paid her for two other vet visits where she failed to diagnose it. *When my kitten was vomiting later that night after being seen by Dr Katz, she would only respond via text - would not answer the phone even though I was willing to pay for after hours guidance. *I saw Dr Katz yell at her employees. *Her employee spoke poorly about Dr Katz behind her back. *The operating room looked like a dark, janitor's closet. *The place only has hours three days a week...what do you do if your pet needs to be seen the other half of the week? *Refused to honor or acknowledge a $20 off new patient coupon after I realized it hadn't been applied at my first visit. (I called later about it.) Bottom line, in my opinion, there are professional, compassionate, and reasonably priced, holistic veterinarians in the area - skip this one. (It took me a long time to construct this review as I didn't want it to be based on emotions - and there were many negative emotions I needed to sort out. I would be surprised if there wasn't a response attempting to attack my character, however, I have proof my review is accurate and factual and can post pictures if deemed necessary.)

I'm so happy I found Odette - she is a wonderful veterinarian. I fostered my dog starting Sept 2015…read moreand when I started Odette's program in April 2016, my pup had had constant diarrhea for who knows how long. I went to his regular vet multiple times, was prescribed expensive prescription dog food, lots of medications, etc, but nothing helped. On top of that, he was gaining weight. He was 35lbs when I first brought him home ballooned up to 50lbs (too much for a dog his size). He was also extremely anxious, stressed, and very fear aggressive. The first thing Odette did was do blood work and saliva tests. Lo and behold, my dog was allergic to chicken! The main ingredient in his prescription food. Under Dr. Suter's care, I learned all about animal health and nutrition. My dog's anxiety and stress is getting much better as well. She also did some chiropractic work on him (he skips on his back legs) and he's now doing so much better than I could have ever thought. Odette does AMAZING work and her goal isn't just to fix your animal's symptoms. She works to fix their overall health as well. She teaches you on animal health, with up to date statistics and information, and strives to help you become an educated pet parent. I'm so thankful to have found her! Absolutely love Odette and highly recommend her to everyone.

I called in advance about parking but never told about needing to pay for parking until arrived. I am not familiar with the area and got lost and called...five or six times. I was afraid that maybe be the clinic had an emergency and closed. Left voicemails that were not returned to let the clinic know that I had arrived, but I needed help in terms of parking and exactly where to go. When, I finally reached someone I was told it's because it's a small clinic and limited staff and that I should've sent an email. I did send an email as well and the person had no reply to that. instead, asked how I would pay for the $$ appointment at the end and I provided my credit card. I have been trying to email them for the past two weeks and they replied one time and have not since to follow up emails. Pretty sure I just got duped. I am still new to having a pet. I've been trying my best to get the best care possible (holistic) including spending more than I can afford and also traveling a distance for it and I'm really not seeing the benefits... I just keep coming across individuals in this and other non pet industries who seem to be more interested in the Almighty Dollar. does anybody care anymore or is everything just a dollar sign?

Kahlua is so used to the stellar service that he knows his reward (treats!!!); he stares at the staff with the big brown eyes until they hand it over. LOL. First time I brought Kahlua for a visit, you would have thought the vet had secret powers. My little guy was always nervous at other centers -- not here. The vet at the time was examining Kahlua without any problems. It definitely was their care approach which made the difference for my puppy mill survivor. Fast forward to now, Kahlua is a happy 15 year old cocker spaniel sweet-talking anyone he can meet, especially humans for love & attention.

She needed support for her hip dysplasia and arthritis. Our vet at Oz Animal Hospital in Lincoln Park gave us a list of dog rehab specialists and Arfit was on their list. Once we searched their website we liked what we saw and Leah was walking with her back legs giving out a lot, it was time for physical therapy. The team - Tod and the entire Arfit staff are so friendly and caring. They love Leah! They are all so easy to talk to. We feel so welcomed here and they are so organized. Tod - seriously one of the nicest and coolest people around! We love his approach to Leah's therapy and we feel informed and involved in every step of her adventure! He is very experienced and works with a lot of heart. The location is so cool! There is plenty of space and a huge area for exercises. It feels like a playground! Very clean and very good vibes. We are bringing Leah 2-3 times a week so far and we have seen some good improvement. Her backside is getting higher and she's working the muscles around that area to make it stronger. They therapy that she is on is specialized by Tod on each visit. We don't mind that at all because just like us, physical therapy is unique to our recovery. We spend a good 45mins. each visit. I am so glad our vet recommended Arfit!
