I can't say enough great things about this place. They, along with his surgeon at VCA (shout out) literally helped save my dogs life. He was diagnosed with Stage IV cervical IVDD and had surgery in late September. He had a super complicated post op course including neck spasms, chronic UTIs, widespread muscle wasting, and chronic constipation. He was literally wasting away in front of us. He still couldn't walk at Thanksgiving. Within two months at IPC, my dog was walking around the house, gaining weight and the bathroom issues cleared up. Five months with IPC and he's back to his pre-op weight and walking around the neighborhood like nothing ever happened. Dr. Martin and the team at IPC did an amazing job and really have gone above and beyond in saving my little buddy. The staff there are great, I wish I could name them all here. My dog Moose tore his CCL in January and the surgeon recommended we go to IPC once he was ready for rehab. IPC was so good with him, building his trust and going his speed for intros, touching/maneuvering his limbs, etc (he's finicky). Moose worked primarily with Brooklyn and I cannot say enough good things about her. She was incredibly helpful providing me with exercises to try with Moose and was always so positive and encouraging. Dr Kelli Martin was amazing and even though it took awhile for Moose to gain his muscle back, she always came to our check-ins with a plan of action and we got him there!!! Called to inquire about a visit. Least helpful phone call I've made in a long time. Please train the people answering phone to ask questions properly & provide referrals if you can't treat the pet. Simply saying take him to the "ER" is not an answer when that's what I did and they sent me home and told me to get follow up care. The wound within a matter of a day appears gangrenous and I haven't been able to get into my regular vet bc of Covid. This whole using Covid as an excuse is wearing thin. I haven't seen more unprofessional and overconfident practice. Anna (the staff member assigned for the therapy) was mean to our dog and rude to us. During the drop-off, she grabbed and shook my dog several times aggressively. My dog has back-leg issues, the reason why we went there in the first place, and naturally, I was appalled by her attitude. I tried to get the leash from her to prevent further injury as he got very anxious by her pulls and tried to wiggle out from his leash. She ignored my attempts and refused to let go of the leash. In the meantime, Anna gave snappy answers to my friend's questions about the treatment plan. Finally, when my friend told her that "He seems to be anxious," she mockingly told her, "He's anxious because YOU are." At this point, I intervened by saying that I had difficulty understanding what she meant and that it didn't work that way in this particular case. After she took him in, we raised our concerns about Anna's attitude at the front desk. The front desk was polite and seemed to understand our concerns, but three days later, we received an email from Brooklyn, the practice manager, informing us that they were discontinuing our service. No telephone call, no apologies, no attempt to understand our side. Nothing. Just a refund and email stating the following: "Unfortunately, we do not think that IPC is the best fit to continue your dog's therapy. For us to provide the best care to our clients and patients, there cannot be a lack of trust in our staff or decisions when it comes to your dog's care. We have canceled your future appointments and wish you and your dog the very best." Wow! I tip my hat to the level of arrogance. These people are supposed to be healthcare providers for animals, but clearly, they are unaware of the basic tenets of quality control and think they NEVER make mistakes. Ever! So, they don't need to figure out what might be the issue in the first place. We're glad to see what they're made of early on. As is the case with many of us my dog Emrick is the love of my life and my faithful companion. He is a 3 1/2 year old Labsky. I adopted Emrick a little over two years ago on September 11th 2018. Since then, Emrick has become not only my best friend but my awesome travel companion. Him and I and my 4Runner have already been to most of our mid western and western states together. His favorite pastime is running free as fast as he can and chasing balls to as far as the eye can see and bringing them all the way back to mom.....over and over and over (you get the point). You can imagine that when I realized he was having a problem with his left hind leg, specifically his knee I immediately got very worried. Fortunately, I was referred to Dr Robbins at Veterinary Specialty Care who immediately diagnosed him and suggested doing surgery as soon as possible .... In Emmy's case it turned out to be the following day which just happened to be New Year's Eve of 2020. He was diagnosed with Lateral Patellar Luxation and the procedure was a tibial tuberosity transposition. As you can probably imagine, I was worried sick as I knew that from this point forward there were no guarantees and that it was very likely that Emmy may never be able to run free again. I was terribly sad for my buddy. I wondered whether we would ever be able to run and play together in the Lake County Dog Parks again. Immediately after the surgery I was told that it had gone very well but that the damage was more extensive than first thought and that there would have to be a rather intensive post surgical physical therapy program! I was like WHAT? Dogs go through Physical Therapy? It was a completely new concept I had never even considered....but at the same time, I thought....right now I was staring at a dog who couldn't even put weight on his leg. Emmy could barely walk, how else am I going to help get him better. So I went online still incredulous at the fact that this was a thing....and I searched for pet physical therapy and came to the website of Integrative Pet Care. A whole new world immediately opened up to me! WOW! All of a sudden I found myself reading about all these wonderful pet therapy tools that could help make Emmy better! Things such as laser therapy and underwater treadmills and obstacle courses! I felt tears come to my eyes as for the first time since he was diagnosed I felt that there could be a chance that he might be able to run free again. I immediately picked up my phone and dialed the phone number. This lovely friendly voice picked up and said her name was Kay. Kay helped me schedule my initial zoom meeting with Dr Ridley, the medical director. Initially I was a bit apprehensive regarding scheduling because it seemed like the opening hours for COVID-19 protocols weren't going to work with my schedule but the staff was so accommodating that with minimal changes to my own schedule we were able to work out a plan for Emrick. Make sure you take the time to fill out the extensive questionnaire because it will help tremendously in the formulation of a plan to help your furry baby. Also, the staff always sends out a text confirmation the day before your scheduled appointment in order to get info on what may have changed since the last appointment. Make sure you respond as it helps them gauge what type of therapy is working and what isn't. Emmy was in therapy for over two months almost three. Twice per week. In that time the staff at IPC was so incredible and so instrumental in getting Emmy better, I don't think I will ever be able to thank them enough for what they've done! From Dr Ridley to Dr Martin to Renee who worked with Emmy and I through zoom giving us new exercises to do at home! Emma who initially worked with Emmy and Rika and of course Brooklyn, Emmy's second love after mom! (Probably his first love if you ask Emmy) Brooklyn is the epitome of positivity and care and love. She is super cheerful and always puts a smile on my face and Emmy's. She is super enthusiastic and professional and was able through her work, to calm all my fears relating to whether Emmy would ever get better. Now Emmy has been given the green light to start running at the forest preserve again and I couldn't be happier....and he is over the moon. He's back to chasing his ball and bringing it back just like before and we're even planning a trip to South Dakota for the end of May. If your pet needs therapy you shouldn't trust anyone else with their care other than IPC. read more

I will just say it up front, I love everything about Integrative Pet Care. My (now 12 yo) corgi-golden has pretty rough arthritis and had been slowing down. Never very active to begin with, we struggled with her weight more and more, her walks got shorter, she stopped doing things like jumping on the bed or couch, and just getting up seemed more painful, even tho she's on rimadyl and dasuquin. Other neighbors told me about IPC, so off we went. Here's our summary... - love the people...they care about our dog, many are actively involved in rescue, and they're just genuinely good, caring people - they were flexible on the program...we changed and adapted a bit based on how Godiva was doing - we found the right mix of everything, and tho Godiva would plateau some weeks, she dropped weight in others, down a total of 12 lbs so far - Godiva does underwater treadmill, therapeutic exercise, laser and massage - I get a crazy number of compliments on how good Godiva looks, not just that she has a waist, but her energy is up, eyes are bright again. Her dog walker hears the same on his walks w her. We're all just so proud of her progress - she walks further and longer than she has in years. She used to sit on the sidewalk and watch the world go by, now she goes out and scopes it all out on her walks - she started getting back up on the couch and bed again - while Godiva (like her mom) will never say exercise is her favorite thing, she's a trouper with her workouts, and seems to genuinely enjoy going, hanging out w the people and dogs she's gotten to know. The mental stimulation for this senior dog has had a positive impact that I didn't anticipate when we first started going I love seeing the other dog owners so deeply attached to their puppers, whether they're seniors, or just in for an injury recovery/rehab. It's like a little sub community of dogs and people. Can't say enough about IPC, they've given us the gift of (what I believe to be) more time with our girl, and definitely improved quality of life. Our dog is a patient of Blue Animal Hospital, and is a 13 year old cocker spaniel. In recent months, she's had more trouble with her arthritis, and our vet recommended Acupuncture. Fortunately, Integrative Pet Care was going to start Acupuncture at Blum once a month and we tried it out three months back. Dr Hubbard was our vet from IPC, and our dog took right to her. It took about 20 minutes for the entire experience, and I noticed a difference in our dog the next day. I was a little skeptical about Acupuncture for our dog, but I'm now a believer. We then went every two weeks to IPC on Armitage for about 4 more sessions, and our dog is moving much better. Dr Hubbard also noticed that she seems less tense in our back area - which was our overall goal. Earlier this year, we took our dog here for back leg lameness and started therapy. After I inquired with the front desk about a negative interaction with a staff member who was assigned to our dog, we were to told they would no longer see us. No discussions, no follow up phone call. Just an email saying they wanted to "part ways". Unprofessional. However, this was actually a blessing- we started going to ARFIT dog rehab in Chicago - and wow, what a difference! The staff at Arfit is friendly and kind- they make sure to create a fun, fear-free atmosphere- and they have helped my dog so much! The other benefit of Arfit is that you can stay with your dog the entire time and watch/ interact the staff at work. It's also a fantastic chance to bond with your dog. And there is always a place to park and the entire experience is so much more relaxed! My dog has made incredible progress and is so happy to be there. read more

I'm not sure why I didn't think to write this earlier... My baby has been a client here for the past few years and I guess I didn't think to write because I usually search Yelp for restaurant reviews. However, I realized that I have quickly forgotten that Yelp was the avenue in which I found this place, which consequentially has undoubtedly added many years to my baby's life. After being told years ago by my vet that my dog may have neurological issues or those unknown, I researched alternative medicine and approaches. My poor little guy has had everything under the sun happen to him previously; and now body spasms, lack of energy, and crying when picked up where the newest thing. I found this place in the desperation of not accepting defeat. Integrative Pet Care changed his life (and mine :) ). I'm not going to lie- the first few sessions I thought, "What in the world???? I can make him 'stretch' for far less money!!" However, I quickly saw the results. Little Lou was as good as new. On top of it all, they really do want to make it as affordable as possible. They scale down supports and services as appropriate, as well as schedule re-checks to develop new plans. A horrible experience became Lou when we was attacked by a dog and in intensive care for almost a week. It was a miracle he survived and I definitely give tons of credit to this place for making him as strong as possible before this had happened. As soon as he was strong enough, we were back in with Dr. Zenoni, Laura, and Doris and he was as good as new. I kid you not, you will not be disappointed with this place. I scheduled an appointment to get a postoperative physical therapy plan with Integrative Pet Care for my dog to have PT after his CCL surgeries. While on the phone the woman asked me if I'd be interested in pre op care as well. I told her that I couldn't do pre op care because of the cost. She said the doctor can create a pre op and post op plan during our appointment and I could make a decision then. I said that would be fine, but reiterated that I likely won't be able to afford pre op PT. Turns out the doctor isn't able to evaluate you for post op plans until two weeks after the surgery. Which I was not informed of when scheduling an appointment for a post op physical therapy plan evaluation. She said we'd have to pay for another evaluation in a week and a half when our dog is two weeks post op. Which means we paid for a plan that I never had any intention to use. I asked the manager/partner if since a mistake was made on their part (not informing me that post op evaluations need to happen two weeks after surgery and scheduling me too early for a post op evaluation despite knowing that my dog's surgery was over a month away) if they could make it right by not charging me for the second evaluation. She told me no mistake was made and that her people deserve to get paid for the work they do. I told her I agreed that people should get paid for the work they do, but people should also get what they paid for. I paid for a post op plan and didn't get one. She brought up that when I filled out a questionnaire I checked off that I'd like to hear about pre op care and that I asked the doctor a question about it. Which I admit I did, I pretty much checked off that I'd like to hear about everything. It's my dog and I'd like as much information as possible. But whether or not I checked that off doesn't change the fact that when I schedule the appointment I ask for a post op plan (not pre op) and I haven't received a post op plan. Every time I brought that up, she brought up that her people deserve to get paid like everyone else. Which agreed, it should come out of her (the owner's) pocket for either not training her staff to schedule the appointments based on the timing of the surgery or worse if they are purposely not informing people of the timing to get two paid appointments out of them. I didn't even ask for a refund at first. I only wanted a credit to use on the additional consultation. After all the back and forth I asked for a refund. She refused. We basically wasted 250$ because they won't let our dog get therapy there unless we pay for another evaluation, but I feel like I was tricked, so if I have to pay for another evaluation, it makes more sense to go to a place with better trained staff and/or more integrity. read more

We brought my 2 y/o dog to IPC because she had left leg lameness for a couple months. After an extremely THOROUGH examination, they determined it was likely she had a partial ACL tear. My girl can be very nervous and she doesn't trust people that she doesn't know, but the staff and doctors were extremely patient and caring. Our orthopedic surgeon confirmed IPC's diagnosis, and we are now bringing her back to IPC for her post-op physical therapy. I really feel that IPC has her best interest in mind and I feel so lucky to be working with them throughout her recovery. read more

We came here after our dog was diagnosed with a complete rupture of his cranial cruciate ligament and meniscus tear to inquire about our options for alternative therapy or surgery. Dr. Ridley was open and honest about our situation - which is exactly what we needed. We decided on surgery and a comprehensive physical therapy plan at IPC post-surgery. Best decision we ever made. We are currently working with one of their therapists, Laura, on a weekly basis, who is wonderful and clearly passionate about what she does. We are so grateful and thankful for the staff at Integrative Pet Care and for the services they offer. Dr. Ridley, our therapist Laura, and the rest of the amazing staff have been so helpful and supportive to our Rocky, who was injured about 7 weeks ago. As I continue on my quest to find out just exactly how much money I am prepared to spend on my asthmatic kitty I recently went here for kitty acupunture. Kitty was not as impressed as me by the snazzy digs, (I on the other hand am moved by exposed brick, blond wood chairs and being offered coffee and behaved like I'd never seen indoor plumbing.) They treat dogs and cats, they have all kinds of alternative medicine, including hydrotherapy. They are expensive but also they are in a pretty small field. We have to go for four more treatments. If I get to see a cat in hydrotherapy on one of my trips it will have been totally worth it. read more

This place was incredible over three years ago. Since then perhaps as a result of a corporate merger, it has changed substantially. It is all about the bottom line now and after an initial exam, you are prevented from interacting with a doctor. The front desk staff has been often rude and unnecessarily officious but for the sake of my dogs, I always endured it. The practice manager makes it very clear they do not care about your dog or you, it is just the bottom line. Her demeanor is very unprofessional, defensive and angry. For the price, there are now many kinder and more caring vet rehab facilities. It is a shame that the customer service and value added towards the patients has gone from IPC. I politely questioned the lack of a consistent cancellation policy after Corvid-19 and was actually hung up by the practice manager. She brought up every single time I ever had to cancel (despite happily paying a $50 cancellation fee each and every time) and said it was affecting their profit margins. I confess this was the last straw-the attitude and rudeness is not what I am accustomed to from a business that deals with veterinary care. I would rather find a place that actually feigns concern for my dog. They really care about long term customers and their dogs -not. Not professional-not even civil! read more

I honestly moved across the city just to be close to IPC. I cannot tell you how much I love everyone at IPC. From the super friendly desk staff, to the PTs, to the vets... They're the best in the city. My three Pomeranians are frequent fliers at Integrative Pet Care, and get a multitude of services that help increase their quality of life. Without Dr. Ridley and the staff at IPC, they would not be nearly as healthy or happy. One of my Poms has SEVERE environmental allergies. He's on a raw diet, I've done the dermatologist route, every sort of medication... What helps? Acupuncture! The docs helped me get one dog through radiation treatment for cancer, 2 Poms luxating patella surgery, my mom's dog's general immune system issues... I love that they work along side "regular" vets, and are willing to discuss treatment plans with them. Can I just say how much I love Dr. Ridley, too? One of my Poms is... a little on the spirited side, and is not the biggest fan of the acupuncture that helps him not be a crazy, sad, itchy Pom. Dr. Ridley is extremely patient with him, despite his screaming and general "I HATE THIS" attitude. Doris, one of the PTs, is stuck with Naughty Pom for hydrotherapy and is nothing but patient and understanding that Mr. Floofy Dog doesn't want to get his Floofiness wet. Whereas many people may get annoyed or loose their patience with him, she's always sweet and understanding of the Naughty One. I am completely offended that people say that IPC is "money hungry." In my 5+ years of being a client I have never once second guessed the treatment protocol offered. Is it expensive? Yes, but definitely not over priced. But is it worth it? Absolutely. Dr. Emily Hubbard is the acupuncturist at Integrative. We have a Frenchie and after a month of stomach issues, lethargy, and diarrhea and almost $800 at the regular vet, we still had no answers. We decided to try acupuncture and after one treatment he improved an unbelievable amount. Dr. Hubbard gave us a recommendation for herbs and said if we wanted he could benefit from 3 to 4 sessions, but it was entirely up to us. There was never any pressure, just great information and tools to help manage his stomach. Since then, he's been doing so well. The Chinese herb she gave us made his stomach even better. And, he loves going. Falls asleep during and is so relaxed. Highly recommend. read more

I can't say enough about Ed, Dr. Zenoni, Erin and the rest of the staff at Integrative Pet Care! My pup has cost me a lot of money this year after getting some routine work done and then tearing his two knee tendons and needing knee surgery on both. I knew he was going to need physical therapy but wasn't ready to spend another $2,000 (his surgery was over $5,000 alone!) for rehab. I called around and asked local animal non-profits for any options and kept kept getting referred to Integrative. I left a message for a rough estimate as well as the cost of the consult fee. Ed called me back immediately and we discussed what was most likely needed as well as my budget. Even though he wasn't able to give me any estimates on the phone, he offered to discount my consultation and told me if I put a high/low for the budget on the intake form, they would do their best to meet it. I made an appointment and filled out the paperwork online. Consultation day! We were seen immediately and my pup has a team of experts. He met with Dr. Zenoni who looked at all his records as well as his progress (two weeks post-op), then Erin (his therapist) met with him and there was also an intern there (I love places that allow the hands on work with students). That afternoon, we received a plan with a detailed outline and cost for 8 weeks of therapy. They not only stayed in my budget but were able to be on the low end of it. There is a lot of work that I am doing with him at home (we are meeting once a week at Integrative) but they are responsive by phone and email and when we have our appointments, they are all about his needs. You can tell that they are a caring group, who just want to help. We are three weeks in and he is already walking on both back paws and putting a little more weight on the back paws when he walks. The space is large and clean with an indoor pool, water treadmills (both are over my current budget but look pretty awesome!), agility area and private rooms for laser/massage therapy. read more

Na'cho is the strong silly bulldog he is because of the amazing therapists here. Na'cho had patella surgery and then after he was cleared by All Pets he started a full rehab session here. Sarah did a wonderful job with him on his water therapy. The light laser therapy on his cysts in-between his paws was fantastic results after one session! I LOVE IPC! I have a 9 year old boxer with a degenerative nerve condition and I drive in to the clinic from the Western suburbs because of the loving care he gets at IPC. Dr. Megan Ridley is one of the most caring, concerned, patient and kind docs I have ever met. I wish she treated people! The acupuncture she does on my dog really helps him with mobility. I also love the staff - everyone goes out of their way to help us (they carried my dog across the street to my car for me!) and is so very kind. Last night, their physical therapist stayed late (the night before leaving for a vacation abroad!!) to fit my dog in his cart. And then didn't charge me for the visit as it was the second fitting for the cart. And for those reviewers who say they are "money hungry", I have to call B.S. This has absolutely not been my experience. Pet care is not different than health care for humans -- it's not cheap. Period. Last thing I want to mention. A family had donated a cart that their dog no longer needed and IPC is loaning me that cart for the duration of the time that my dog needs it. These carts are hugely expensive! When I asked about paying for it, they said there was no charge as they believe in the "pay it forward principle". I just have to return it when my guy no longer needs it. WOW! I think they just saved my marriage, lol. My husband would have fainted when he learned what these carts actually cost. This is an immaculately clean, pleasant, wonderful place for your special needs pet. They will be in very competent, honest, and caring hands. read more

I've been bringing my dog, Gossip, in for lower back pain and mobility problems. Dr. Ridley and her staff have been amazing. At the first visit, they took plenty of time to thoroughly evaluate my dog and correctly identify his problem, and then formed a comprehensive treatment plan just for him. Everything was explained very thoroughly. The therapists are also wonderful. They take special care to make it a positive experience, with lots of praise and treats. Gossip loves going to his sessions, and I've seen improvements in his comfort and mobility. I cannot recommend Integrative Pet Care enough. How disappointing! Not one person here cares about the animals. They are only interested in your money. My pet was here for physical therapy. In the physical therapy session, the therapist said there were no notes on my dog so she couldn't do any therapy and that we would start from ground zero. So we had to RE-see the doctor and re-start the program ( paying for each session even though we were covering the same territory, $85 and $63 respectively) because they aren't interested in progressing or healing the pet. They just wanted to recycle through the doctor sessions for extra cash. I addressed this with the owner, who said he would sit in on the next session to see that the therapists were taking notes, but he didn't show. In addition, the staff is really smug. They schedule things in 30 minutes segments, but if they are running 15 minutes late, they cut your session down to 15 minutes but charge you for 30 minutes. This was a horrible experience and very disappointing to see how they are trying to take advantage of the fact that people love their pets and will do anything for them. I was also surprised to learn that they don't keep any records of how animals recover here. So if you ask, what is the percentage chance that my pet will improve with treatment, the answer is "we don't keep records." Finally, in suggesting a treatment plan for my pet they offered one in the several thousand, but said if I couldn't pay that much I could just cut it by 60% or 30% with the same results -basically just trying to get as much money as possible, irrespective of what is necessary. Integrative Pet Care shouldn't be allowed to operate. read more

two years ago i brought my dog to ips. at first i was quite skeptical that they could help her. she was limping badly from her arthritis. she also injured her knee which complicated matters more. as time went on, i couldnt believe how much she improved over the first few weeks of her therapy. i continued the treatments. she improved so much! sadly, my little princess crossed the rainbow bridge on oct 15th 2019. ips gave us two of the most blessed years to have with her. if not for them, we may not have had her this long. sarah and her team worked with us in every which way. laura was her main therapist and i will always remember her compassion, care and support throughout precious's care there. dr ridley and emma were fantastic and i could not have asked for better care than what they gave. i couldn't thank them enough. read more

Our 10 year old Maltese completely tore her ACL. We went to 3 different animal hospitals that specialized in ACL injuries. All recommended surgery. My wife and I researched the pros and cons of ACL surgery on dogs. There is research that recommend dogs under 10 lbs not have surgery. We decided against surgery and decided for a holistic approach. A vet recommended this place. And we were pleased with their rehab services. A special thanks to Sarah our dog's physical therapist. Today our Maltese is back on her paws and back to normal. My old, old pooch has been seeing Dr. Mayer every four weeks for the last few years. She receives B12 and anti-inflammatory shots, which do her a world of good. Dr. Mayer is not just incredibly caring, she is also extremely educated and informative regarding herbal supplements, nutrition and alternative therapies. Everyone working there seems to know my dog by name and often offer her treats since she's such a little treat whore. The whole staff even signs a birthday card that comes in the mail addressed to my dog every year. In addition, the facility itself is beautiful...very modern and spotless. I give four stars instead of five only because it is indeed pricey (especially when you go as often as I do)! read more

I love, love, love these folks and will be eternally grateful for the ways they helped my dog in the last two days of his life. I only wish I could have found them sooner because they (unlike my regular vet) immediately recognized the problem (bone cancer) and jumped in to relieve the pain (I had been begging my vet for better pain management). They did it with acupuncture and massage -- which I never would have imagined could be so effective. He was beaming at me and was still smiling when he got home. He also started eating again, first the peanut butter and cracker sandwiches Dr. Ridley made for him and then the beef brisket that a friend brought over. Unfortunately there wasn't much else to do. The bone cancer had already metastasized, amputation wasn't an option, and the pain was getting worse. But they were still trying to help -- suggesting people who could provide massage at home and even stronger pain management. I called the house-call vet they recommended (Nathaniel Cook --loved him, too -- see my other review) and he tried the strongest drug he had, which didn't dent the pain, so we had to move to the next awful step. I'll be forever grateful to all of them -- for the peace that they gave him in the end and for helping me understand the trajectory of bone cancer so I wouldn't torture myself wondering whether I could have done more. If I had more money, I would set up a fund that would allow people who can't afford vet care to go there and find the same peace for themselves and their pet. read more

We go to IPC twice a week for hydro therapy and therapeutic exercise, and IPC provided training so I could exercise and treat Harold at home using eStim on six different muscles. Through IPC we've acquired Harold's wheels that allow him to run wild in the park as well as around IPC. And through IPC we've learned how to use orthodics including braces and flippers that are helping Harold to learn how to walk again. IPC has saved my dog's life. His hips had atrophied over time, and he repeatedly stumbled and sometimes fell over, and his life force seemed to dwindle. I was frightened about his life quality. IPC was recommended by a 3rd party vet, and I entered the therapy process with great skepticism. The IPC vet explained what she believed what was happening, which helped me get some hope. As for the change, well, my dog walker now calls my dog "Benjamin Button" because he is literally younger with each day. He gets all excited about going out, he runs in the snow, and actually chases other dogs! As for the IPC experience, everytime we walk in the door, all the staff welcomingly shout out my dog's name, and he's treated like the most special dog in the world (which, of course, he is). The whole process is very transparent - I am always invited to attend his water therapy, chiropractic and rehab sessions. So far, so great! I can't say enough great things about IPC. My Doberman Pinscher Pippi tore her ACL and had surgery a few months ago, then had an accident (fall) that required a 2nd more invasive ACL surgery to replace the original plate with a larger one. Her injury was one that most vets would have removed her leg for, but her great vets at Aurora VCA (THANK YOU DR. ABEL!!) were willing to go to extreme lengths to save her leg, and try some unconventional methods to immobilize her leg for several weeks. We just started therapy a little over two weeks ago after seeing that her leg was healing much better than expected, and after a few massage, laser, and underwater treadmill sessions, she is using her leg and regaining more mobility after every session. The vets at IPC really went the extra mile treating a wound that Pippi got from the sling she'd been in for months, and the laser treatment healed her wound up in just a few days. While the treatment is not cheap (thank God for pet insurance), it's well worth it to get my Dobie girl back on all of her feet! read more

My pets and my family's pet have been patients of Dr Julie for years now dating back to before she opened IPC. She is a very good Dr who always shows the upmost care and compassion for my 4 dogs and anytime something health-wise happens she wants to know and help in treatment and alot of times with just good advice. I know the prices are steep but I have to say that my family and I appreciate her being there when we have questions and we know she does her best to help our dogs. Her staff is always so nice to both the dogs and the people. P.S. My dog, Foxy Lady, is a huge fan of the people at Integrative Pet Care. She is usually so scared to be at a vet's office but she really loves them here and actually let them pick her up (which is totally unlike her). When we started at Integrative, my dog was on a lot of painkillers and not very energetic. I believe the combination of the therapy and the additional antibiotics she took made all the difference for her; she now rarely takes painkillers and has actually started chasing squirrels again.
