I can't say enough about how fantastic Tod and the entire team is at Arfit. This past winter our…read moredog had to have tplo surgery on both rear legs. Arfit has been a critical component to her amazing recovery. Our dog starts crying a few blocks from here because she can't wait to get in. And she's not alone with this experience. It's common with all the repeat doggies, big and small. A little heat, deep tissue massage, cold laser then to the adjoining gym for strength and agility training. She does her favorite ramps, pulls weights and does the balance board. Thank you Arfit. Take a look at their Instagram site: https://instagram.com/arfit_dog_therapy_chicago?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= And doggie insurance can cover it. Even if it didn't she'd still go.

She needed support for her hip dysplasia and arthritis. Our vet at Oz Animal Hospital in Lincoln Park gave us a list of dog rehab specialists and Arfit was on their list. Once we searched their website we liked what we saw and Leah was walking with her back legs giving out a lot, it was time for physical therapy. The team - Tod and the entire Arfit staff are so friendly and caring. They love Leah! They are all so easy to talk to. We feel so welcomed here and they are so organized. Tod - seriously one of the nicest and coolest people around! We love his approach to Leah's therapy and we feel informed and involved in every step of her adventure! He is very experienced and works with a lot of heart. The location is so cool! There is plenty of space and a huge area for exercises. It feels like a playground! Very clean and very good vibes. We are bringing Leah 2-3 times a week so far and we have seen some good improvement. Her backside is getting higher and she's working the muscles around that area to make it stronger. They therapy that she is on is specialized by Tod on each visit. We don't mind that at all because just like us, physical therapy is unique to our recovery. We spend a good 45mins. each visit. I am so glad our vet recommended Arfit!

Rebecca has not returned my 5 telephone calls to provide me updated information. Today my Vet asked about Hazels progress with Therapy. I informed him that the owner has not returned my telephone calls. It bothered me that for months the pool has been unavailable for water therapy. When my dog used the water treadmill she was exposed to other dog hair. The place needs to be cleaned to service other dogs. Administration needs to pull it together to run a professional business.

Public Warning / Review…read more On October 23, 2023, my service dog Journey (then 13 months old) was mistreated and placed in danger at Canine Physical Rehab during a swim appointment. Journey had never worked with Becca before (who is now the current owner). Upon meeting him for the first time, she unhooked his leash in the lobby without my permission or following any of the usual safety protocols. Multiple safety gates and doors to the pool area were left open, and Journey--like most Goldens with a strong water drive--ran straight into the pool unsupervised. At that moment: * He was still wearing an electronic collar, putting him at risk. * No staff were in the pool room to ensure his safety. * He dove in unsupervised, which could have caused serious injury or drowning. Once in the pool, Becca ignored my repeated warnings that Journey required a toy in his mouth to prevent him from swallowing water (as his prior instructors had always done). Instead, she insisted he was "not swimming correctly" and began physically throwing him toward the pool stairs and table to force him into positions. Afterward, she told me Journey would be "punished" for running into the pool by being required to stand on equipment and watch the water instead of swimming for half his session--completely inappropriate and cruel. The results of this session: * Journey consumed so much water that he vomited repeatedly for over an hour afterward. * Our vet was concerned about possible dry drowning due to the excessive water intake. * The violent handling left him traumatized--and it traumatized us as his family to witness. When I voiced these concerns, the business dismissed them. Since then, they have also blocked me on all social media, preventing me from commenting and sharing what happened, which feels like an attempt to hide the truth. With Becca now the owner, I strongly warn other pet parents: this is not a safe place to bring your dog. Journey is a certified service and therapy dog, trained and experienced, yet he was still put at risk here. If this could happen to him, it could happen to anyone's dog. Your pet's safety and well-being are too important to risk.

I found the place through a friend whose dogs overcame skin and stomach problems after switching to Puptection's raw diet. I picked up some beef mix, and some dehydrated veggies/fruit. In a very short time, my little guy has more energy, his ear infection is gone, his coat is amazing, and he actually poops less, because there's no kibble waste to expel. I couldn't be happier. They take time to make you feel welcome when you come in to the store. They walk you through the contents of the food, the benefits, feeding instructions, everything. They're also more than willing to take your phone calls and help you out with whatever questions you might have. A-plus. Love this place.

My cat has been losing a dangerous amount of weight lately affiliated with hyperthyroidism.. while we wait for her radio iodine treatment I'm trying to help her bulk up, but nothing was working. Puptection folks recommended "Purifiant Argile Purifying Montmorillonite Clay" (which has a long list of benefits, including improved absorption of nutrients) and their Raw beef formula. In less than a week there is a noticeable improvement in my cat's weight/eating habits and her mood seems better. Thank you SO much - very grateful to have you in my neighborhood!
