I enjoyed this brewery a lot! I recently discovered that it is hard for me to find beers that I like during the winter for whatever reason, but I enjoyed the beers that I had at Headflyer! I really liked the aesthetic as well, it is a bright, open space with plenty of seating. We came on a late Sunday afternoon and there weren't many too many people around, so we were able to relax with our beers. I will definitely be back! read more

First time here. The atmosphere is very inviting, I like that you can bring your own food. Don't forget the food truck. I had the radiant baby, it was pretty tasty. I am not a huge beer drinker. The person behind the bar recommended this. I also like that people bring their dogs here. All around great place and I am going to recommend this place to other people. Not only is the brewery people friendly, but super dog friendly as well. The bartenders and brewery guests loved on our pups all night. We loved the flight option, especially as first time guests! The Blueberry brew was by far my favorite. The big pull down projector would be perfect for a sports fan looking to watch the big game. Looking forward to visiting again very soon! read more

I normally don't write negative reviews but stop by this brewery to try some of their beers . After reading their selection they have quite a strange array of beers I asked to sample a couple different types she says we do not sample our products you can buy pours . I said I would just like a small sample , I do not want to buy a glass of something I may not like . she says we do not sample , so I guess beware. I would say between ciders, distilleries and breweries over 75 places we have been too first time I've heard that. read more

We tried the vanilla porter and the holla honey...they all had a great taste. Full bodied and nice color. I will definitely be back. Very laid back and not overly noisy like a lot of breweries that are cold and open. This one is open but more comfortable. There is parking on the side so thats nice to not fight for that. read more

Good spot to grab a beer. I had a coffee Porter, which wasn't my favorite, and their milkshake IPA, which was one of the better IPAs I've had. The atmosphere is different than a lot of breweries I've been to, a bit more modern and artsy. They allow dogs and I brought my lab. Headflyer is quickly becoming one of my favorite taprooms in the Cities. I love the indoor/outdoor space, which is spacious and dog friendly. The giant cribbage board is also a nice quirk that helps Headflyer stand out. I've enjoyed the beers I've tried. The juicy IPAs have been my particular favorites, but I'm not a beer expert. If you head there on Thursdays, they do a small batch release, which offers something you don't see on the menu every day. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend putting this one on your list if you're into beer. read more

Obsessed with this brewery. Love the city murals on the wall. They are dog friendly indoors. Very big and spacious in their tap room. Picnic table like seating as well as a few high tops. Slightly tricky to see from the road at night, as their sign wasn't lit up, also the gps describes their parking lot as Taylor Street, and I missed the turn. The confusion was worth it. The huge cribbage board is a neat concept but seems that it's mostly a place for empty glasses to accumulate. Need to work on acoustics it's very loud on a slow evening. This brewery has awesome atmosphere and solid beers. It was Shandy fest and the bride got a Shandy with strawberry and their Octoberfest. Tasty. I had a flight, of which the Juicy, Double Juicy, and Vanilla Porter were the standouts. The folks are really cool and I enjoyed chatting about their beers. read more

Checking out this brewery for the first time after a Yelp Elite Event as a guest. Great service and vibe to the space. My friend and I approached the bar and asked for a couple samples - no hesitation from our bartender. They were super kind and gave us a smile, which is always a good indicator of a welcoming environment. The parking lot was a bit tricky, but there is space available that is shared will all businesses in the building. We were very pleased and enjoyed the beers. I ordered the golden ale, which was a great, relaxing beer after a long day of work. I will definitely be returning to try more! read more

Great addition to the taprooms in Minneapolis, with easy access right on Hennepin. The art around the building is really great and the seating inside and out is comfortable and inviting. They have two entrances right on the patio (so easy access for puppers and to the food truck of the day) as well as a walk through the main building, which has a great historical feel from it's former life as a textile warehouse. Fortunately, this length of Hennepin isn't too busy as the patio is right on the street with a small area for outdoor games like bean bag. The staff is friendly and we had the opportunity to say hi to one of the owners. Only downside is that they were out of TWO selections, both happened to be the ones I was interested in. Granted, one was a limited release anyway but it was still a bummer. Fortunately, their golden is good enough to settle for without disappointment. read more

Love the IPA here! All 3 to NBC 4 of there. The service is great! The seating benches are the heaviest to pull out from under the tables we have seen ever...but a classy 400 pull out...good for the arms! My spouse had a great vanilla bean porter. The flights are a bit on the high side at $14 plus but worth it. The washrooms are great with a men's/women's communal hand wash area. The parking is great and the patio looks great if it had been open. Great spot open since 2027 but check hours on website. Very crisp and clean. They do not allow dogs with very reasonable rules. They do not have food but allow GrubHub Deliveries. read more

Didn't care for the lack of snacks, but you can order other food to be delivered. I'm not into the beers they had on the menu, but the few I tried weren't bad. The Amber I tried was my favorite. Employees were awesome. I recommend the Dill Ranch pretzels if you try some. The mustard ones weren't too flavorful. read more

Love this brewery! We have gone twice since they opened, and love the atmosphere and choice of beers. We generally do a flight or two, and hang out and play games. I love whoever does the graphic design for their logos/t-shirts, yesterday I got a cool Vikings shirt from their t-shirt section. :) gotta say I love their emoji IPA, and the honey beer (can't think of the name at the moment). What a cool taproom! I was nearby for a meeting and decided to stop for a beer and enjoy the patio. There is a nice parking lot which is always a plus for me when checking out new taprooms. A food truck was sitting outside when I got there. The building Headflyer is in is SO COOL so that makes the experience already a good one. The beertender who served me was super friendly (everyone else seemed to be as well). I tried the milkshake IPA and the honey wheat. The Holla Honey beer was really tasty- I can see this becoming a favorite local beer of mine. I liked the Dreamshake but I don't love milkshake IPAs so it just wasn't for me. I sat out on the patio during trivia which I thought would be annoying but it wasn't at all. The taproom space is large with lots of seating and the patio is lovely. The building is off Hennepin but in a weird area so the road isn't crazy loud or busy which was a plus. The taproom is dog friendly so obviously that is a huge plus as well. This might be a new favorite spot for me- I just need to go back and try more beer! read more

The best thing was the pleasant surprise that it was a dog friendly bar. I had no idea.
