I spoke to and booked my appointment with Cheryl, the salon owner, who's been doing hair for... I forget how long exactly, but a couple decades though. I got a color touch up (single process), conditioning treatment and cut. I was not gypped of any product nor was my time with any service cut short-- I got the full treatment, and some fun conversations with other patrons and staff members while there. The salon is spacious, well-lit, and smells nice! I actually asked one of the workers if they use room scents and she said no. So that pleasant, clean, fresh scent was coming from the products! I thought that was a great sign / indicator of quality products. Oh, also? I have sensitive scalp and somehow always forget to tell my stylist. The color they use did NOT irritate my scalp! I found the staff and space to be just so welcoming and a business I'd like to support.

Everything is affordable, including the hair products they sell. Why pay more when the products they carry get the job done just as well? Free parking is always available when I visit. I like their method of applying color. Their chairs and sink are comfortable (ask them to put the "neck thing" on the sink for a better experience).

I t was hard to see it what it was going to look like because she was cutting up in an angle until it fell in front of my face! It looks NOTHING like the photos. What it does look like is a bowl Covid cut. My mistake is that I didn't say anything. There's no way to fix this just have to let it grow back out. HOWEVER if you can't do the cut don't do the cut!!

I explained to the stylist Kim that I wanted just the split ends cut and my layers even out. I reminded her before and after I was shampooed and after she started cutting. Kim was very unorganized and seemed to struggle working with my hair that was "so long and thick" I asked if she was capable of doing what I asked for. She said it was a simple cut and would take 15 minutes. She then claimed that she couldn't see because my hair was so long and needed me to stand up so she could cut my hair. She kept me away from the mirror and just saying my previous haircut was so bad, and that she was gonna fix it. I trusted her. I should not have. She cut at least 9 inches of hair off, and thinned my hair til it was unrecognizable. I don't understand how this could even happen. I showed her an inspiration picture, along with multiple other stylists and they said it was totally achievable. not sure why Kim kept cutting after I told her repeatedly for a trim, and how much I liked the length of my hair. I had pre paid, but I tipped anyway. I left the appointment in shock. PLEASE be careful when booking. I don't want someone else loosing 2+ years of hair growth due to negligence. A professional and qualified hairdresser should listen to the clients wishes. and be honest if they do not have the ability to do the cut.
