I had them here and Matt went ahead and installed them while he was here. That was an added charge of course but he did the job 10 times faster than I would have and this way there was no tool throwing involved! Signed up for a free estimate after someone came to canvas our area. Was told this would take an…read morehour. 2 hours and 40 minutes later this man was still in our house. Kept saying it would only be a few more minutes for over an hour and a half. It was so disturbing. They promised a 30 day guarantee on prices quoted which is a lie. If you don't buy on the spot there is no guarantee. What kind of company gives an estimate and then leaves you absolutely no proof of the estimates. He took every paper he brought with him and left us no trace of the prices quoted. After wasting almost three hours of our time. I would never consider them for work after a meeting like that. They try to wear you down by talking for hours so you just give in. Quotes you an exorbitant amount for the windows and then keeps throwing lower and lower prices at you for an hour in the hopes you agree. Started off at nearly 2k per window and ended with about $900 per window. Then takes all the numbers quoted with him and says if we don't say yes now that number is gone forever... Told him our wedding was in two weeks and couldn't afford to say yes today. Nearly shamed us like we were making a dire mistake. So predatory and unprofessional.

I was asked if there would be a significant other attending sales pitch meeting and I politely indicated I'm a single mom and will make the final decision myself. Yet, I understood the reason behind the inquiry and had no problems with it. The sales guy was straight to the point didn't really try to sell me the product just provided information regarding the product and answered questions I had accordingly. Which I was grateful for! He let me know that there would be about an 8-week fabrication Lead time which I was fine with. The windows did end up ready for installation within that time frame. Empire graciously set the installation date according to my schedule. And I can't rave enough about the three person team who came out and completed the install. Dave and his crew were on time, addressed my concern about placing down floor protection- which they had already anticipated. They were knowledgeable with the product and how to install the windows and the back patio door. Hard consistent workers, there was no downtime during the install. the framework after the bay window was removed was done very professionally and looks amazing. They answered my questions professionally and didn't make me feel stupid for asking very simple questions at times. After my experience with Window Nation, I don't think I can honestly recommend that anyone else purchase windows from them unless they are prepared to deal with all the hassle up until you get the actual windows. Knock on the door from an ill prepared salesman who said they were in the area that day. Had to haggle about the price and were offered coupon after coupon (price without any of the coupons was astronomical). We were offered a cruise we had to pay for (not a free cruise, only a voucher for a company that offers cruises to people who make large home improvement purchases). Huge lack of communication from the company until the actual day of the install (we had to call them several times about the cruise voucher, about a receipt, about scheduling; things were really only taken care of once the owner of the company got involved and handled things). We were given no direction to move furniture or window treatments prior to installation. Day of install was great, aside from my husband having to move all the furniture out of the way and take all the window treatments down because the installers are not allowed to do any of that, and aren't even allowed to help. Installers were professional and efficient, covered all our stuff with plastic, and didn't leave a mess behind when they left. Seriously, other than the furniture being out of place and the new windows, I would have never known they were there when I got home. So if you choose to go with this company, beware of the process prior to actually getting the windows. The installers are great, the windows are great, but the company itself and the way they handle things can give you a big headache.

They took five weeks to finish the outside of the house because they needed to order replacement parts that were damaged during removal. They needed eight weeks to get replacement woodwork for the inside because (you guessed it) they damaged it during removal. If I hadn't had to consistently call to find out the status of the job, we'd probably still be waiting to get it finished. COMPLETE AMATEUR HOUR. Do your self a favor and find someone that can do the job right.
