As a homeowner, I realize that taking care of my home and updating it and maintaining it can be expensive. I also understand that I am going to have to talk to vendors that are trying to make money off me and I am going to have to listen to their spiel and haggle with them. And then deal with several other people along the way before the job actually gets completed. After my experience with Window Nation, I don't think I can honestly recommend that anyone else purchase windows from them unless they are prepared to deal with all the hassle up until you get the actual windows. Knock on the door from an ill prepared salesman who said they were in the area that day. Had to haggle about the price and were offered coupon after coupon (price without any of the coupons was astronomical). We were offered a cruise we had to pay for (not a free cruise, only a voucher for a company that offers cruises to people who make large home improvement purchases). Huge lack of communication from the company until the actual day of the install (we had to call them several times about the cruise voucher, about a receipt, about scheduling; things were really only taken care of once the owner of the company got involved and handled things). We were given no direction to move furniture or window treatments prior to installation. Day of install was great, aside from my husband having to move all the furniture out of the way and take all the window treatments down because the installers are not allowed to do any of that, and aren't even allowed to help. Installers were professional and efficient, covered all our stuff with plastic, and didn't leave a mess behind when they left. Seriously, other than the furniture being out of place and the new windows, I would have never known they were there when I got home. So if you choose to go with this company, beware of the process prior to actually getting the windows. The installers are great, the windows are great, but the company itself and the way they handle things can give you a big headache. read more

I had a three panel sliding door installed a few years ago and have a constant water leak since. Every service call has been them slapping some caulk on the out side and hoping for the best. It's ridiculous they won't try to fix it. I even have water damage to my floor. Shop somewhere else for windows. We sat and listened to their sales pitch for 1.5 hours while they told us why they so professional and would do a perfect job. The two salesmen that gave us the bid looked at the window. Three people came out to do measurements. None of these people told us there would be any problems installing the window. This was for one window that was going to be installed in one day. It took two months and I had to finish the work myself. Apparently ours was the first house that they had ever done a window replacement for that had vinyl siding. They took five weeks to finish the outside of the house because they needed to order replacement parts that were damaged during removal. They needed eight weeks to get replacement woodwork for the inside because (you guessed it) they damaged it during removal. If I hadn't had to consistently call to find out the status of the job, we'd probably still be waiting to get it finished. COMPLETE AMATEUR HOUR. My grandmother had an estimate appointment today with Windows Nation, and we had the worst experience. The guy was EXTREMELY pushy and after we told him multiple times we are still looking around for estimates, he basically told us we were uneducated about how much windows cost and that he doesn't make hourly so we need to close the deal. Why is that our problem you need to make a sale to be paid? We asked you to come here to talk windows and prices, we don't need your whole life story and guilt trip. He would not take no for an answer after we told him we would think about it multiple times. And then yelled "YOU'RE WELCOME" as he was leaving the home, and was super rude when we were just trying to get him to leave at this point. The sale representative told a lie, he said Window Nation does not use contractors, they do their own work. The day of the installation, the workers identified themselves as contractors. They claim their material is the best but the lock on my window doesn't work! We were going to go ahead with the contract but after further review of the finance terms we decided against it . The finance terms were very unclear and it was actually a second mortgage so we canceled the contract. When we signed we had 3 days to cancel so we were within time frame because we canceled the very next day. After 14 days we still have not received our down payment back. We have been told 2 separate times we would have our money back in 10 business days. When you call customer service they barely speak English. Don't do business with this company. They are shady. Requested an estimate to replace all windows in my home. Was advised to set aside an hour for the sales rep to come out, which I did. Plan on at least 2 hours. At hour 2, we hadn't even gotten to pricing yet so I asked about a wrap up time as I'd put my dog and child in a bedroom to avoid distractions-it was excessively long. When I wanted to look over the estimate and think a bit the sales person became very pushy and it was hard to get her to leave. It was uncomfortable as she was in my home. It was 2.5 hours and I honestly may have signed but couldn't spare any more time to do paperwork and needed her to leave. I had to agree to let her call me later to get her to go. S he said my estimate would be emailed to me the following day and would be good for one year. The "buy 4 windows get 4 free" deal would only be good for the month, so I'd need to decide on that shortly should I want that deal. It's now 4 days later and I cannot get anyone to send me the estimate. I've called twice and sent several texts to the number that reached out to confirm my appointment. I have numerous responses stating that they've notified the manager and I'd be contacted "soon" with no contact. I called customer service and they just bounced me around to a total of 4 agents that repeatedly told me they were the wrong person after explaining my situation. I eventually just hung up. My first impression is that the customer service is horrific and they only want you to sign the day they are in your home for some reason. if you don't, they're not interested in your business. I had my windows replaced on June 20, 2025. Its been 2 months. Firstly, I would not recommend these windows. Sliding windows only have 1/2 screens on one side of the window. When window is unlocked and opened it leave the othe half of the window unsecured and exposed. A hazard if you have young children. The double hung windows arent secure when opened either. Leaving you vulnerable to burglars. Overall, things windows offer no security at all. What a waste of money....use another window company. These window create dangerous situations for the home owner. Love the windows, would not recommend this company at all. They sell you items you don't need and won't refund money (Lead fee wasn't necessary), don't answer emails, don't return phone calls, order wrong windows, don't bring all tools with them when they come. We are now in month 5 and are still awaiting 3 windows - they keep ordering the wrong item and it starts the 2-3 week process ordering windows all over again. Since September people! I just had a salesman in and it was a lot to take in. I was very clear with my intent when he walked in and told him that i would be getting multiple quotes. He was very pushy and ultimately at the end I told him the same thing that i told him upfront that i would be getting multiple quotes. He scribbled all of the discussed pricing off of the quote. I asked for a business card and he said once I walk out of the home that he is removed from the equation. What a joke in his behavior. Placed order for 11 windows and 2 patio slider doors. Called and told we could choose 7/2 or 7/3 2025. we chose 7/3. Did everything they told us to do. Took down all window blinds and brackets. Had to get help to move some heavier furniture and the washing machine. We were all ready for them. Customer Service (Marlin) called us Tuesday- 7/1 and informed us that they (windows) . were not complete. Still at the factory. Then told us installation would now be 7/15! My house is all torn up. I have to get the washer re-hooked up and then move it again. Spent 35k and my old windows were better. We have had issue after issue. None of the windows lock, huge drafts everywhere, slanted panes, and we bought the most expensive windows from them. They fixed most things however due to the molding issues around the curved windows caused damage on the inside. They dont cover the paint so we have chipped paint they won't fix. They say our windows aren't locking because of the insulation, well what good is insulation if you can't close the window. We were better off keeping the old windows. Estimators take their time and will be at your home much longer than an hour if you don't kick them out. Estimate started at $30,000 and ended up at $11,000. Unfortunately, that's not an uncommon practice of selling jobs. We didn't move forward with the work. I've had other jobs done before, even the best most highly rated groups can do a bad job so you might as well get the best value for what you can afford so I'd suggest steer clear. read more

The metal pins that they use to hold the windows in are not strong enough. I try very hard to keep the window level as I open it to clean the outside part of the window, but every time I clean the windows, at least one pin/bolt snaps like a green bean. I have to call customer service and make an appointment and take a picture of the "problem" even though it is exactly the same problem I have called them for a dozen times. Once both bolts snapped and the window fell out on my foot. Another time both pins/bolts snapped and we couldn't close the window. It was like 0° outside! Don't buy these unless you plan on never cleaning the outside windows. read more

Extremely misleading and dishonest. They try to sell you on cheap windows at astronomically high prices and play a charade as if they're giving you a great deal by applying "exclusive" discounts. Also, they represent themselves as "family owned and operated" when this company has been sold to an investment group - a prime example of their dishonesty. My wife hasn't been able to sleep because of how we were pressured to sign our contract so we're about to pursue legal action to get back our deposit. We were very happy with the installation of the Soft-Lite windows. They were installed in 2016 in my mom's house. She passed away in 2017 and the house became mine. No where in any of the paper work is information about a transfer. I called and found out I only had 6 months to transfer after the house became mine. It's way too late now. It should have been included in the paper work, but it wasn't. Then I found out there are different levels of quality for the windows. These must be the lower level. In the winter, cold air seeps around the glass and causes condensation on all the windows. You can feel the cold air. Just beware and ask a lot of questions before purchasing from this company. Was given a pamphlet that stated this business was "A+ BBB rating" when they are, in fact, NOT. There is 500+ complaints on BBB, which according to them equate to 1% of their business AND those complaints are not just CLE market. Still a cause for concern. Manager was incredibly condescending "Yelp is only used for restaurants" and completely dismissed my BBB concerns. This is the most unreliable, unprofessional business. After waiting 4 months for our windows, they only brought 5 windows after canceling 3 install dates! We need 6 windows WHICH THEY MEASURED FOR! Our order was for 6 window. To date, we do not have that missing window. We were told it would be installed last Thursday January 13, 2022 and when that didn't happen, they said Thursday January 20, 2022. No call. No show. I heard their ad on the radio for 50% off of windows, and it's a project I was needing to get done, so I thought, "Why not? I'll get an estimate." Setting it up was fine, and the sales rep was on time and polite. The whole thing took over two hours! It was incredibly informative but definitely not what I was expecting. When he gave me the quote, and I said I needed to think about it and get more information (also consult with my mother who was helping me in the process), the atmosphere got a LOT more uncomfortable. I had asked about the promo going on, which was not reflective in the quote, and he brushed it aside saying "Yeah, it's in there. It's for the windows not the installation." I get that, but a basic understanding of math could help you see that the promo was not, in fact, in the quote. The guy was actually scowling at me! He was visibly upset and said "Well if you just wanted a number, I could have saved us both a lot of time." What is an estimate, even? He kept saying, "Well this is obviously about the money?" and was not AT ALL respectful. I was very put off by his disrespectful attitude. I received a survey about my experience and shared what I've shared here. Then the next day, I get another quote from another individual at Window Nation that was over $1,000 cheaper than the initial quote! This screams shady business to me.
