More importantly he understood what we needed and did not try to upsell us. This was only a small project but he treated us like a big customer. A couple of weeks later Matt came to install the windows. This is an old house but he skillfully corrected for out of square openings. I had purchased storm doors on my own. I had them here and Matt went ahead and installed them while he was here. That was an added charge of course but he did the job 10 times faster than I would have and this way there was no tool throwing involved! I would call Tom at Just Windows again...and request Matt at the installer. They were great.

To add further insult, you offer to make repairs only if I agree to pay for the damages 3rd Generation caused. Bond was denied but that doesn't negate the warranty for poor workmanship and trying to pass the cost on to me the customer to get it fixed. The fact remains to this day, there is a failed inspection due to the negligence and the permit remains open for which 3rd Generation has been cited by the city of University Hts.

ll start off with this. No gimmicks. FOREVER WARRANTEE. (yea…read morereally) No "Time share" sales tactics. No telling me "My wife had to be there for the initial visit" (That is also a timeshare selling tactic) No Special "back to school pricing" gimmicks. No buy one get one free. No LYING and saying the competition makes inferior windows (Then when you see what Window universe does it is actually better than the other company) I got 18 quotes for work on my house 5 window quotes. so I am tired and cranky. I didnt call Window Universe intially. (my mistake) I had one company (Who I wont review) that was all the way up to getting a downpayment from me. They seemed good initially but I had to fire them when they didnt show up (it was a fourth offence) Too bad. Well I called Window Universe they came out fast. The quoting process was fast. The person (lance) who came out was very personable. Now I didnt realize this but their quote was 1500 less than the other guy I fired. Also Lance is a dialed in person. He called Provia on my door and he told me that the door I was getting was not compatible so we had to switch. The previous guy was going to give me that door with the side lights. (Was it going to even work??) yeah so there was that. The appointment took minutes. We also talked about basement glass block windows. Their prices. Right on the sheet AND they were really good about 1/2 what I expected to pay. So I am going to do that too before the winter. Anyhow when all was said and done Window Universe was less than the guy I almost used and Lance double checked he got the proper sized windows and sidelights. Great experience and I still have 3+ weeks before the windows show up. Ill come back and add some pictures after it is done. I know it is going to be great.

I hired JT Ventures based on Angi reviews and BBB reviews. I hired John to install 6 interior…read moredoors. Instead of John doing the work, he sent his inexperienced nephew David to do the job. John Talkington sat in his truck and surfed the internet the ENTIRE time. David cut my doors crooked, gauged the trim, used different hinges on the doors, did not measure properly before making cuts, hung the doors too far inward and some of them are so tightly hung in the jams that they bounce back when gently closed. He cut a brand new door with out measuring and I ended up buying a new door. I am left with alot of repairs. John didn't do final walkthrough. We paid the bill less $100.00 for "heartache". David did a cartwheel in my living room. He took breaks every 20 minutes. It took him 33 hours to hang 7 doors. He left screws all over my house and driveway. He banged one of the doors into my antique cabinet and also gauged places on my wall.

As a homeowner, I realize that taking care of my home and updating it and maintaining it can be…read moreexpensive. I also understand that I am going to have to talk to vendors that are trying to make money off me and I am going to have to listen to their spiel and haggle with them. And then deal with several other people along the way before the job actually gets completed. After my experience with Window Nation, I don't think I can honestly recommend that anyone else purchase windows from them unless they are prepared to deal with all the hassle up until you get the actual windows. Knock on the door from an ill prepared salesman who said they were in the area that day. Had to haggle about the price and were offered coupon after coupon (price without any of the coupons was astronomical). We were offered a cruise we had to pay for (not a free cruise, only a voucher for a company that offers cruises to people who make large home improvement purchases). Huge lack of communication from the company until the actual day of the install (we had to call them several times about the cruise voucher, about a receipt, about scheduling; things were really only taken care of once the owner of the company got involved and handled things). We were given no direction to move furniture or window treatments prior to installation. Day of install was great, aside from my husband having to move all the furniture out of the way and take all the window treatments down because the installers are not allowed to do any of that, and aren't even allowed to help. Installers were professional and efficient, covered all our stuff with plastic, and didn't leave a mess behind when they left. Seriously, other than the furniture being out of place and the new windows, I would have never known they were there when I got home. So if you choose to go with this company, beware of the process prior to actually getting the windows. The installers are great, the windows are great, but the company itself and the way they handle things can give you a big headache.

Three people came out to do measurements. None of these people told us there would be any problems installing the window. This was for one window that was going to be installed in one day. It took two months and I had to finish the work myself. Apparently ours was the first house that they had ever done a window replacement for that had vinyl siding. They took five weeks to finish the outside of the house because they needed to order replacement parts that were damaged during removal. They needed eight weeks to get replacement woodwork for the inside because (you guessed it) they damaged it during removal. If I hadn't had to consistently call to find out the status of the job, we'd probably still be waiting to get it finished. COMPLETE AMATEUR HOUR. Do your self a favor and find someone that can do the job right.

He promptly scheduled sending someone out to check what was going on and solved the problem at that very first appointment. Other roofing companies from Yelp wanted to replace the entire roof while Standard Roofing found out that it was a straightforward problem they could repair. They are highly professional, courteous and exceeded our expectations. They were not out to take advantage of anybody and charged a fair price. Look no further for your roofing needs. We plan to hire them to repair siding and other exterior issues in my father's home.
