Unfortunately, my experiences with one of the owners have been very different. I've since moved away from Chicago but have returned 6-8 times over the past year and a half, and it has become increasingly clear that my loyalty as a longtime client is taken for granted. When this particular owner is involved in my appointments, I often feel rushed through my service rather than treated like a returning client. I've also repeatedly been placed with less experienced stylists, even after years of consistently supporting the business and spending a significant amount of money here. What is most disappointing is the overall attitude. My interactions with this owner have consistently felt cold, dismissive, and unaccommodating. After four years of loyalty, I don't expect special treatment, but I do expect the same level of care and customer service that any client should receive. The rest of the staff has always been kind, hardworking, and welcoming, which is why I continued coming back for so long. Unfortunately, the way one of the owners treats a longtime client, and the feeling that my continued business is simply assumed rather than valued, has really changed how I feel about a salon I once loved.

She took her time, which is not itself bad, but it might be surprising if you book a 45 minute appointment and are in any sort of rush. I think $64 is a bit steep, especially since there are quality blowout spots that aren't that much, even today!
