I don't know who Carl is but he is quite generous to share his property with the public--he even provides buckets of carrots and pellets to feed the animals and a sink with soap and water to wash your hands. A few things to know before you go: Because this is at a private residential home, there are no public bathrooms available, so plan accordingly! It's also a bit out of the way on a dirt road, which adds to the rustic charm but can be a surprise if you aren't expecting it. It's a wonderful, low-key way to spend 30 minutes with some very happy animals. Donations are highly encouraged but not required.

She was rude to several guests, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. Most of our party parked in the overflow parking lot, which is clearly marked with multiple signs. However, during the event, the employee walked over and padlocked both gates, preventing anyone from accessing their vehicles. We were told to reach out when we were ready to leave so she could unlock the gates. When the party ended, I texted her as instructed, but she refused to open the gates. She claimed no such arrangement had been made and told us we would have to walk all the way to the front entrance and then back to our vehicles, instead of simply unlocking the gates. This situation was frustrating and unnecessary, especially after being given different instructions earlier. While the location itself is nice, the lack of professionalism and poor communication significantly impacted our overall experience.

We had two seniors (my parents), and three adults. It's $11.57 for adults, $8.41 for seniors, and $5.73 for children under 15. The Queen Creek Botanical Garden is a fully functional, edible landscape, a sacred garden, and an event venue. Guests can explore the hidden alcoves, English Gardens, grassy meadows, Japanese terraced gardens, legend falls, a turn-of-the-century water wheel, hillside gardens, scavenger hunt for kids, and so much more. However, the garden is very small. We were probably there for 30-45 minutes, but we played the lawn games, sat down, and took lots of photos. You can easily explore the whole garden in 15 minutes or less. Guests can rent a canoe for an additional charge but I believe you can fish for no additional charge. The garden is beautiful, serene, and well maintained. It's worth visiting at least once.

I bought three female chicks, two of which turned out to be roosters. The website indicates they…read moresex the chickens with 90% accuracy, but were significantly less accurate with ours. When I reached out about a partial refund and offered to return the roosters, this is the response I got: No, actually, that only means it's not 100% accurate. Our policy is listed on our website. We do not guarantee, refund, return, swap, or exchange. This is an extremely standard policy across the board for any Hatchery or place of business that sells chicks. If you have a rooster you can give it away for free on Craigslist. Next time go ahead and shop at tractor supply. Buy your chicks from there and when you get a rooster try to call them and make them take it back and see what happens. They even had an animal I haven't heard of before, a Degu. They had many employees working today and they were all friendly and nice. While I'm not suggesting that the staff were unfriendly, the overall vibe was lacking warmth. The animals were fun to observe, and that rooster was pretty cool. However, I wish the store offered better training for its employees. Given that I drove five hours to visit this location, I don't think I will be returning. I will be looking for another store to visit.
