The farm is free of charge. You have the option to walk around the farm on your own and/or take a guided tour around it. If you want to feed the alpacas, their food in a cup is offered for $1. And there is a place for you to wash up after feeding them. The barn offers locally crafted items, including one that uses the llama fur for hats, scarves, etc. The official gift store for the farm is there as well. We found a cute painting for our kitchen, which was fairly inexpensive. They're only open one Saturday a month so grab the opportunity to visit when you can!

It's a cute, small farm right across from the San Diego Botanic Garden with easy parking right out front. They have miniature ponies, goats, a pig, rabbits, chickens and quail. The experience was very hands-on the kids fed the animals lettuce and Cheerios, brushed the ponies, went inside the rabbit enclosures, and got to interact with the pig and chickens outside their pens. They also had painting activities, a super cute mud kitchen with bubbles and utensils, and ended with fresh fruit in the shade and story time. Just wholesome, messy toddler fun! The instructor was great with the kids--laid-back, friendly and informative. I think the Monday morning session is especially perfect for kids under 4. We drove up from Chula Vista, so I'm not sure I'd make the drive specifically to do the same session again, but it was absolutely worth experiencing once for $40 and we had a great time! The animals are so friendly, and the hour just flies by as you feed and spend time with the animals. The pigs love belly rubs and will come up to you for some snuggles! They don't like being picked up though, but if you stay still with a bucket of lettuce they won't leave you alone! :) We also got the VIP Mini Cows package and the owner, Wes, truly treated us like VIPs. We were lucky enough to be the only ones to spend time with the cows, and we got to feed them and lounge in the VIP area. The farm also doubles as an Airbnb with stargazing, and the suites are named after each of the cows! We were only here for a day, but are planning on coming back for the Airbnb and get the full farm and stargazing experience!

When it started raining, she drove us around in her golf cart so we could still enjoy everything without missing a thing. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the whole experience feel so special. She took the time to introduce us to all the animals and was especially sweet with my son Atlas. Watching her gently introduce him to everything and everyone was honestly the highlight. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and cares so much about the families who visit. The eggs are incredible. So fresh you can literally taste the difference. Her "rainbow eggs" are beautiful and you can tell there's such a variety. It feels like you're getting something truly special, not just a carton of eggs. One of my favorite parts is that after you buy eggs, she lets the kids hang out in the coop and play for as long as they want. There's also a little play area, which makes it such an easy and fun outing for families. And the location is perfect. It feels like a peaceful little farm escape, but you're still so close to the city, which makes it even better. Diane is truly the sweetest, and this farm is something really special. We didn't have little kids with us, but still enjoyed this so much. Our 2hr noon hour tour had about 70ppl on it. We never felt like it was too many in any one place. The owners were so good about answering questions and were very funny! I'd highly recommend this to families who have kids and want to see and visit camels up close. Plan to take a picnic lunch, and plenty of water. The camels were awesome, they definitely wanted our apple treats so, it's worth buying extra.

Wouldn't you know I would choose one of the hottest days of the year to make the trek to Ramona. It was well worth the trip. Nancy and Gil Riegler are two of the coolest people you would ever want to meet. You just want to hang out with them for the entire day. We got to witness the Turkey Olympics, meet the largest camel and vote on the person whose gobble sounded most authentic. We then went to feed Nancy's koi. From there we went to feed the most beautiful sheep I have ever seen. The Piece De Resistance was to feed and pet the camels. Gil is like a living encyclopedia of camel knowledge and answered the many hundred questions. Camels do not spit so we were comfortable seeing them up close and personal. There are misting tents all over the farm so we were able to keep comfortable the entire 12;00-2:00 visiting period. It was fully staffed that day and all went out of their way to accommodate us. Really fun, congenial and knowledgeable ladies. Got to satisfy my wish to buy camel soap. Unfortunately for my bank account I did more than buy soap. Every item is a draw and you just want to try everything. You can buy online, but I would recommend that you come out to meet Nancy and Gil. You, too, will want to spend the day with them.
