Truly our family's favorite place! We have been coming to Olivenhain Farms for over 3 years and our kids both LOVE it (and we do too!). Ms. Natalie is a phenomenal educator and makes learning fun, experiential and truly transformative. From morning playtimes at the farm to participating in their incredible events to having our daughter's birthday party there, every moment we've spent there has been so special and meaningful to us all. Ms. Natalie made our daughter's birthday so special - from the activities to the time they all got with every animal to the crafts, she's still talking about it six months later! We recommend being part of this magical farm with all our hearts!

Olivenhain Farms is a community treasure!! Our daughter adores Ms. Natalie from the minute they met two years ago. We love her so much! Learning about animals and how to care for them, and learning about farm & gardening has been an invaluable experience! Our daughter has blossomed so much since she first began attending, and we highly recommend all of the fun community gatherings offered. We have also celebrated her birthday on the farm which was perfect & a fun time! Aside from Natalie's heart of gold, there also comes a wonderful community of families who attend and it's a great way to connect & meet new friends.

Olivenhain Farms is such a delightful gem! It's the perfect spot to visit the most adorable little farm, host birthday parties, and celebrate events! I only wish it was open every day for drop-ins because I'd bring my kids so much more often. Farm Kid Fridays are an absolute must if your little ones love farm animals. The animals are so well cared for, and you can just see the passion Natalie has for her farm. Birthday parties here are a blast, with kids getting to interact with the animals, explore the mud kitchen, and play to their hearts' content! They have two mini horses, goats, the sweetest pig named Sweet Pea, chickens, bunnies, and quails. My daughter even tried hard-boiled quail eggs and now prefers them over chicken eggs! My kids never want to leave and always beg to come back, and could spend hours here. I highly recommend Olivenhain Farms!

I love the concept of making fresh food accessible to everyone and anyone. It's such a great mission. The highlight for us was the nature play area; my little one could have stayed there for hours. They've done a fantastic job creating an outdoor experience that's genuinely fun and engaging for kids of all ages. I also loved the "lead experiences" they host every hour. We joined the chicken feeding, which was a huge hit thanks to Daniel! We felt very safe throughout our visit, and the security team was incredibly helpful and a special thanks to Stephanie for that. We're already looking forward to our next trip back!

The farm has on Thursdays and Sundays a pay what you can farm stand. This has been a tremendous help to the community, especially when Covid hit. When purchasing items it is private so other people cannot see if you need to use the opportunity to purchase items at a discounted price or at full price. There are also many educational opportunities on the farm. Camps for kids, after school programs and other events are available throughout the year. The farm recently opened a coffee cart as well. Swing by and get fresh coffee along with your fruits and vegetables. There are also chickens on the farm and fresh eggs are sold every Sunday. If you like to eat the rainbow, or try new vegetables, this might be the spot for you as well, depending on when you arrive at the farm, you can see the vegetables coming in just after they have been picked to be sold.

Visits are by appointment only, so my husband and I booked a session on Valentine's Day. This was hands down the best animal experience we've had, thanks to the amazing staff and adorable animals. The animals were friendly, engaging, and active, which is a testament to how happy and well cared for they are. Each party is given a complimentary bucket of lettuce to feed the animals, with more available for purchase. We got to pet and feed not only mini pigs, but also goats, ducks, chickens, and even a large, handsome turkey. And because it was Valentine's Day, the staff passed around glasses of sparkling wine for guests, which was an extra special touch. The setting is tucked away in a mountainous area, making it feel like a hidden gem off the beaten path. It was the perfect stop on our way to San Diego. We're definitely looking forward to returning again next time!

It's easy to fill up the bucket with ripe strawberries quick. Although it doesn't seem like there's a lot of strawberries at first glance, there's a lot as I walked through the rows of strawberry plants - that was part of the fun! One thing I wasn't prepared for was the dirt and how muddy the strawberry rows were. I'm not sure if it was always that wet. Perhaps it was because it rained earlier in the day? My shoes got extremely dirty and there wasn't a convenient way to wash it off there. I recommend wearing rain boots. In addition to strawberries, there was a sunflower maze and a separate section for a simple sunflower field. For those who don't want to worry about food, there's vendors and food trucks on site. They also sell jam and fresh strawberries at the stand, which doesn't require an admissions ticket. Service wasn't anything special. The staff there were efficient and friendly. Overall, I enjoyed my time there and I recommend visitors trying out the U-Pick experience!

Every time we drive through those gates, it feels like stepping into a different rhythm -- slower, softer, and full of heart. There's a calm that settles over me the moment I arrive, like all the noise of everyday life fades into the background. For a few precious hours, time seems to stand still. We spend our visits surrounded by the most amazing animals, each with their own story and personality. The people who care for them are just as special -- kind, genuine, and truly devoted to every creature on the farm. They always greet us by name, take time to chat, and make our son feel like part of their family. He loves to feed the sheep, who are so patient and gentle with him. I love learning each animal's name and backstory -- it makes every visit feel personal and deeply grounding. If you ever feel weighed down by the world, this is the place to go. It's impossible to leave without feeling lighter, calmer, and a little more connected to what really matters. And as a bonus -- they grow the most delicious fruits and vegetables right there on the farm, fresh from the earth that gives this place so much life. If you are looking for a special place to take your family, I highly recommend it!

First off it's huge and you are allowed to feed and pet ALL of the animals! They have so much to see! Cows, pigs, camels, and even a zebra!! I never thought in my life I'd pet a zebra, this experience is just incredible! They even have turkeys and peacocks that roam and even came up to us for some food! All of the animals were super friendly and adorable. We even saw the smallest mini horse ever that was so cute. There are also cats that roam the property and one of them followed us throughout the whole place. Can you ask for a cuter tour guide?! They also grow their own produce and sell eggs. We picked and cut our own pumpkins and left with some duck eggs as well! Overall this was just the most fun experience I've ever had. I regret not purchasing the membership because ever since I left I keep thinking about how bad I want to come back! This is definitely a hidden gem and a fantastic experience.
