The kids got to horseback ride, pet animals, make crafts, etc. Everyone had something to do! Surprisingly to me, the mud kitchen and the hopscotch were well used. We loved this place and the guides (Phil and his son Murdad) were both so welcoming. We visited several areas to meet different farm animals. The children were thrilled to feed, pet and hold many animals. All the animals were so gentle that even my one year old was able to interact with them. There were several seating areas and shady spots to cool off. My kids said thier favorite part was riding the horse. The horse, Spirit, was so intuitive with the children and would trot and stop on thier command. They had a beautiful, shaded seating area right next to riding areas for adults to watch the fun! There is also a clean, stylish bath room and hand washing area. I would recommend this for any small group that loves animals and want a hands on experience! We hosted our son's 6th birthday party here this past weekend. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the experience. Everything about it was special. The staff were so attentive and helpful. (Even with set up/tear down). They thought of everything. It really blew us away. The kids got amazing time with the animals, the animals were well socialized and well cared for. Springbrook Ranch is a treasure in Poway. We went to a family birthday party here. It was fantastic ! Each child had an opportunity to brush the horse and learn about some basic care and had the opportunity to sit on a horse & be led around the arena. A big plus is that the older kids and adults were offered a chance to be on the horse. (My highlight of the party!) Absolutely amazing experience for our 6 year old's birthday party! Phil and Jen completely coordinated the event in order to provide structure. From having personnel on standby to assist the setup and cleanup (fantastic help by the way, completed before guests arrived even though we showed up half an hour later due to traffic conditions) to horse rides and animal petting sessions (friendliest chickens and most adorable rabbits) with crafts in between. My daughter had her 10 years old birthday party at Springbrook Ranch. She and her friends had so much fun playing with all kinds of animals. The farm has horses, mini horses, goats, chickens, rabbits and three lovely cats running around.  The party is very well organized. Phil, Jen, their kids and the helper are friendly and easy to get along with. They offered to help set up and clean the tables, taking one kid to ride the horse at a time and keep the rest of the kids entertained by either doing crafts or petting the chickens. After the lunch and the cake, kids still had a chance to play and take pictures with the rabbits, a mini horse or taking a walk with the goat.  All the children and adults had memorable moments and left with smiles on their faces.  The ranch only hosts parties a couple of times a month so you may want to book earlier than later. read more

My Girl Scout troop worked on their Horse Badge here and it was so amazing. Phil and Jen were and their daughter were so patient with my troop and all their questions and excitement over the horses. Even the horses were patient with all the brushing and attention paid to them. They even downloaded the badge requirements and made sure the girls learned all that they needed to in order to earn their badge. They all got to ride one very patient horse named Camero. My child celebrated their birthday here recently with several 4 and 5 year old friends. I hadn't been to the ranch prior to booking so I was leaning heavily on the positive reviews. I'm pleased to say Springbrook Ranch is worthy of all the great reviews. The online booking was simple, venue information was shared to help plan what we needed to bring. Phil was very helpful walking me through the recommended schedule of activities and open to suggestions. The day of the event went very well - we had help setting up from a number of eager party staff. Horse rides, crafts, lunch + cake, and a petting zoo kept kids and parents occupied. The children were enamored with the different types of animals they interacted with. Parents were happy with the ease of the activities and friendliness of the owners and staff. I received so many compliments but I owe them all to Phil and Jen for putting on a fantastic event. Five stars, definitely recommend. My 6 year old requested a birthday party with animal s and I came across this gem of a place! The ranch is located in Poway. Jen and Phil, the owners, were such wonderful people to work with. They described the birthday activities very clearly and answered all my questions thoroughly (they were very responsive). The day of, they had staff help me unload the car, set up tables, decorate, direct people, etc. I was already stressed with getting things done in time so it was great to have the extra help :) Phil also offered to be the contact person for the pizza delivery so I wouldn't have to worry about tracking it. All the staff kept offering to help me, so I would be able to enjoy the party as well. The birthday activities consisted of a craft, riding a horse (if the kiddos wanted to), petting the animals (mini horse, chicken, and goat) and playing old fashioned games (tug of war, sack races, egg races). Jen and I worked closely together to develop a timeline while also maintaining flexibility as needed. All the children and adults had a lovely time - I received a lot of "How did you find this place?".
