Friendly camels the kids could pet
    Shaena S.

I took our Girl Scout troop for a private tour and they LOVED it! Such a magical experience, all the animals were friendly and the host Nancy was knowledgeable and engaging. I highly recommend!

So much fun and worth the trip! Came for a camel tour with an open mind; not really sure what to expect. What we found was a fun bird show, turkey race, visits with sweet mini sheep, and so many camels to love on and feed treats to We were surprised that their treats for the sheep, fish and camels was also all included with our ticket, which is a really refreshing change of pace than we're used to since moving to San Diego. Everyone there was knowledgeable and more importantly kind natured with all their animals which just makes you love the whole experience even more. Super fun, definitely recommend trying out!

Yesterday my children's charter school had a field trip at the Oasis Camel Dairy. I didn't quite know what to expect, we live on a cattle ranch and have had a lot of different animals so I imagined my kids would enjoy seeing the camels. I hadn't known anyone who had attended in the past so my information was limited. Well, it was over and beyond what I could have expected. We were met at the front entrance by our tour guide, Trisha. Amazing is really the one word that could sum up Trisha as a guide. She was friendly, informative, and fun. Every animal we encountered while at the dairy was interactive and had the kids and myself included totally entranced. Not only did the kids get to stand just feet away from birds, babydoll sheep, and camels but they got to pet and feed them! We ended the amazing (there's that word again) tour with camel rides and photo opportunities. We are now hooked and will be following the dairy's opening days to spend time with Trisha, Camelot, Tigerlilly, and all the other wonderful personalities! A sneak peak into the personalities of the owners of the ranch, they have one shirt in their gift shop with the 1 star rating they received on yelp.lol. It really is a place that promotes leaving the negativity at the highway and stepping into community, camels, and fun!

We had passed by Oasis Camel Dairy in the past and were curious. When I saw we could do a tour we jumped on it! We absolutely loved the tom turkey race that literally went off the rails. It was hilarious! The owners are fabulous! Very entertaining and educational! We plan on coming back on a private tour! We loved it! Also the camel milk lotion is the best thing ever!!!

Dragged my family out to the Oasis Camel Dairy for my 50th birthday. What a wonderful afternoon. The bird show is hilarious. The turkey stampede is well worth the laughs. Cheer for the bronze team! The miniature sheep are so ready to eat, but not interested in being petted. Those princesses are only interested in what you can do for them. Then there's the camels. They are friendly and so funny. Pandora was jumping around and if you're lucky you'll get one to take a selfie like I did. Well worth the price of admission. But don't leave without stopping by the gift shop. Get yourself some soap, lotion, chocolate and olive oil.

Everyone was so nice and friendly who worked here! It's was a great experience and I really think they should charge more to be honest. $15 for 2 hours a person to feed and pet camels is amazing! You can feed and pet lamb too. I bought camel milk soap (very moisturizing!) and chocolates. The coffee chocolate is delicious but be careful it's powerful! Haha The bad review shirt is hilarious!

Went on a family trip for my husbands 35th birthday and happened upon this gem of a farm! Nancy and Gil are so sweet and clearly love their animals. Every creature is sweet and obviously well taken care of. The baby camel was a cherry on top! Worth a visit and worth every penny.

Has got to be one of the BEST field trips of the year. The tour was educational and hilarious. I think I may have enjoyed myself more than the kiddos. The animals on this farm are loved and it shows. The gift shop is a most. The camel milk soaps are my favorite.

    Don't forget your camel ride!

Do we need an appointment to visit? Are they open Sunday?

I would like to know if you guys sell camel milk . If you do how much? Also I wanted to know is there any way I could buy camel urine as well. I needed for something. Let me know please. Thank you .

From our recent tour this past Saturday, I understand they do not sell camel milk. However, you can buy delicious camel chocolate and plenty of great smelling/moisturizing camel soap. As for the camel urine, hopefully the owners will be able to… Read more

Visits are by appointment only, so my husband and I booked a session on Valentine's Day. This was hands down the best animal experience we've had, thanks to the amazing staff and adorable animals. The animals were friendly, engaging, and active, which is a testament to how happy and well cared for they are. Each party is given a complimentary bucket of lettuce to feed the animals, with more available for purchase. We got to pet and feed not only mini pigs, but also goats, ducks, chickens, and even a large, handsome turkey. And because it was Valentine's Day, the staff passed around glasses of sparkling wine for guests, which was an extra special touch. The setting is tucked away in a mountainous area, making it feel like a hidden gem off the beaten path. It was the perfect stop on our way to San Diego. We're definitely looking forward to returning again next time!

First off it's huge and you are allowed to feed and pet ALL of the animals! They have so much to see! Cows, pigs, camels, and even a zebra!! I never thought in my life I'd pet a zebra, this experience is just incredible! They even have turkeys and peacocks that roam and even came up to us for some food! All of the animals were super friendly and adorable. We even saw the smallest mini horse ever that was so cute. There are also cats that roam the property and one of them followed us throughout the whole place. Can you ask for a cuter tour guide?! They also grow their own produce and sell eggs. We picked and cut our own pumpkins and left with some duck eggs as well! Overall this was just the most fun experience I've ever had. I regret not purchasing the membership because ever since I left I keep thinking about how bad I want to come back! This is definitely a hidden gem and a fantastic experience.

I've been in touch with Agnes, the owner and operator, for a few years now and she does it all. It's inspiring to see how much love and effort goes into keeping this sanctuary running for the animals who call it home. They offer family-friendly daily tours where you can feed the animals directly- horses, pigs, bison, goats, ducks, tortoises, camels, bulls, and more! Pro tip: go early in the morning before it gets too warm. Hours are 10 AM - 5 PM, 7 days a week (closed Thanksgiving & Christmas). They also host birthday parties and private events. I actually celebrated my 37th birthday here with about 25 friends and kids. We got a private tour with Agnes herself, and the best part? Our donation was tax-deductible since they're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It felt meaningful knowing our celebration helped sustain the farm's mission. To help fund operations, they also grow their own vegetables, herbs, greens, and squash onsite. You can text 866-612-6520 to get on their weekly veggie list and orders can be picked up at the farm or Wednesdays at Kohl's in Santee. They even offer volunteer opportunities year-round. We brought my 16-year-old nephew once to help clean the goat area. It was a hands-on, memorable experience to give back and see the difference a few hours can make.
