$10 non resident to pet goats up close all other animals contact is through the fence. Large new playground and picnic table area. Goat feed and carrots can be purchased at store. Cute little place for kids to run a muck.

Great place to buy fresh eggs. There is a cute petting zoo. I enjoyed being here, it was a beautiful day.

Happy Hens is another great back country gem in Ramona! Stop by and grab the 30 pack of extra large, white eggs. Every one of them has two yolks!!! Awesome place!

My husband was telling me about how grocery stores does misleading advertisements for eggs and dairy products, and found out about Happy Hens. Although it was a little bit far from where we live, it worth the long drive for their fresh eggs! They have eggs, chicken broth, chicken, milk.. and more. I think we got about 30 eggs, price wasn't different from what you paid for so called "pasture-raised" eggs at grocery stores. You see the difference cause size and color are so vary unlike all nice looking store bought eggs. I'm Japanese, we'd like to eat fresh egg raw with hot rice and bit of soy sauce... yum!!! People may say " it's not safe" or " "disgusting " to eat raw eggs.. since eggs are so fresh, you can eat them raw! We also got milk, it was so sweet and creamy! I'm going to get couple when I go back, cause we finished the milk so quick lol Anyway, as I said it's worth the drive!!!

What a gem we have in Ramona where your always greeted with a smile and stellar customer service. They have the freshest eggs, which is why we don't go anywhere else. Grocery store eggs don't even compare. Once you have Happy Hens you never go back. Also, they have an array of other items such as, kombucha, raw cow and goats milk, and elderberry juice. Whether a local or just passing through, I'd highly suggest stopping by, you won't regret it.

Ask the Community - Happy Hens

Just to clarify, are these pasture-raised or just cage-free eggs?

We only produce TRULY OUTDOOR eggs which would be from hens raised outdoor 100% of the Time. In addition to our eggs, in our general store, we offer eggs from another farm which would be just cage-free, we do not produce them, but do sell them.

First off it's huge and you are allowed to feed and pet ALL of the animals! They have so much to see! Cows, pigs, camels, and even a zebra!! I never thought in my life I'd pet a zebra, this experience is just incredible! They even have turkeys and peacocks that roam and even came up to us for some food! All of the animals were super friendly and adorable. We even saw the smallest mini horse ever that was so cute. There are also cats that roam the property and one of them followed us throughout the whole place. Can you ask for a cuter tour guide?! They also grow their own produce and sell eggs. We picked and cut our own pumpkins and left with some duck eggs as well! Overall this was just the most fun experience I've ever had. I regret not purchasing the membership because ever since I left I keep thinking about how bad I want to come back! This is definitely a hidden gem and a fantastic experience.

I've been in touch with Agnes, the owner and operator, for a few years now and she does it all. It's inspiring to see how much love and effort goes into keeping this sanctuary running for the animals who call it home. They offer family-friendly daily tours where you can feed the animals directly- horses, pigs, bison, goats, ducks, tortoises, camels, bulls, and more! Pro tip: go early in the morning before it gets too warm. Hours are 10 AM - 5 PM, 7 days a week (closed Thanksgiving & Christmas). They also host birthday parties and private events. I actually celebrated my 37th birthday here with about 25 friends and kids. We got a private tour with Agnes herself, and the best part? Our donation was tax-deductible since they're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It felt meaningful knowing our celebration helped sustain the farm's mission. To help fund operations, they also grow their own vegetables, herbs, greens, and squash onsite. You can text 866-612-6520 to get on their weekly veggie list and orders can be picked up at the farm or Wednesdays at Kohl's in Santee. They even offer volunteer opportunities year-round. We brought my 16-year-old nephew once to help clean the goat area. It was a hands-on, memorable experience to give back and see the difference a few hours can make. If you're looking for something wholesome, local, and purposeful......this is it!!

Flowers were in bloom and they did offer raspberries, but also said that was slim as well. Sure enjoy, with 3 people and 6 eyes, we were able to fill up. You pre-pay and then they give you your container. Walk around and you can come here to pick different fruits during different seasons. Guess what, they have a petting zoo inside as well! How cool! If there is food available and they haven't been fed too much, you can grab a scoop and feed away! Staff was friendly and very helpful in navigating, especially when you forget where you are supposed to walk to in order to pick your fruit. I would say it is about farmer's market pricing, definitely not on the cheaper scale but you are paying for quality here. Can't wait to come back! We came here in August 2025, and then my Husband brought his mother and siblings here in October 2025. They loved it as well. Plenty of parking, although dirt parking, easy to get in and out. Each party is given a complimentary bucket of lettuce to feed the animals, with more available for purchase. We got to pet and feed not only mini pigs, but also goats, ducks, chickens, and even a large, handsome turkey. And because it was Valentine's Day, the staff passed around glasses of sparkling wine for guests, which was an extra special touch.
