We loved seeing the Highland cows, wandering the gardens, and finding all the perfect little spots for photos. There's plenty of seating, shade, and even a play area for kids. It's free to visit, thoughtfully designed, and clearly run by people who love what they do. Just off Highway 80 in East El Cajon, this is the perfect weekend escape. Can't wait to return!

The public events start with a show where you learn about Camels and the stuff the owners did before opening the dairy, which includes a traveling bird show. After the show, it's time to go give the sheep and camels some treats! The camels are super sweet, and love to be fed and petted. For anyone worried about the treatment of their animals, there's nothing to worry about. These animals are well, well cared for (I grew up on a farm so I would know). I assumed that I would have a snack here and then get something else to actually eat but I was filled to the brim when I left here. This place was full to capacity when we went, but you did not feel encroached on, the owner Louisa, the servers, all amazing, welcoming and nice. I feel like I was a bit unprepared as everyone else was dressed up with little hats, and my wife and I had no little hats! Helped us through the positioning and he and his team worked very hard to get it absolutely perfect. I also had shopped around and visited several nurseries and priced compared trees with hiring separate for install, but I always come back to Moon Valley as there is not quite any other place like them including their guarantee which is a nice safety. Also, they do have trees at different price points even ones that are on sale and clearance if you're looking for a little bit of a deal which is a nice option.

Unfortunately, MV did not provide any assistance with replacing them. It has been a very disappointing experience and extremely costly. One would expect a tree to last at least one year.
