We didn't have little kids with us, but still enjoyed this so much. Our 2hr noon hour tour had about 70ppl on it. We never felt like it was too many in any one place. The owners were so good about answering questions and were very funny! I'd highly recommend this to families who have kids and want to see and visit camels up close. Plan to take a picnic lunch, and plenty of water. The camels were awesome, they definitely wanted our apple treats so, it's worth buying extra.

In addition to this, we were surprised to see koi, goldfish, parrots and be able to feed the camels as well as the sheep in the grounds. After the 2 hour tour ended, we drove to the lavender field and took photos - also saw camels running down the pasture to where the lavender field was while a staff member gave a brief 15 minute overview about the camels. It looked like a scene from a fairy tale. The vista of the mountains and greenery is so beautiful, and the environment peaceful. It was such a beautiful time, and we definitely enjoyed the friendliness of Gil, Nancy and all the staff we interacted with.

First off it's huge and you are allowed to feed and pet ALL of the animals! They have so much to see! Cows, pigs, camels, and even a zebra!! I never thought in my life I'd pet a zebra, this experience is just incredible! They even have turkeys and peacocks that roam and even came up to us for some food! All of the animals were super friendly and adorable. We even saw the smallest mini horse ever that was so cute. There are also cats that roam the property and one of them followed us throughout the whole place. Can you ask for a cuter tour guide?! They also grow their own produce and sell eggs. We picked and cut our own pumpkins and left with some duck eggs as well! Overall this was just the most fun experience I've ever had. This is the second year we've visited the Family Christmas Tree Farm looking for a Christmas tree last minute. Same as last year, we were not sure if we were going to get a Christmas tree since years past it has been an ordeal purchasing, transporting, cutting and placing the tree. But my hesitation is mainly that I'm in an arm cast second holiday/Christmas season in a row, making it extremely difficult for me to help out and leaving all the hard work to hubs. I'm so blessed he's all mine! I love Christmas and of course need a Christmas tree regardless of the situation... so when I say, let's go take a look and see what trees they have, the hubs is all aboard! Located out in El Cajon it is not terribly far away, about 20 min give or take. Each time we've visited, it's been in the evening, not extremely packed busy, a consistent flow of customers coming and going. Our first visit, I didn't know what to expect. It's not a huge Christmas tree farm, big enough to have a good selection of different trees of all sizes. Pre-cut and cut your own. I don't know what it is, maybe under the evening light, the snow flocked trees stood out like a shining star! Two years in a row, we bought a snow flocked tree, last year a Douglas fir, this year a Noble fir and both at an incredible price! Granted, it was the week before Christmas, the trees were both only $99! I loved our first tree last year, but I love this year's tree even more! We came, we saw, I found my perfect tree in under 10 minutes! We both walked around the cut trees and I just knew which one I wanted, but we both made sure there wasn't another that looked better. About 7-8' tall, he was fluffy, evenly spaced branches, perfectly straight center stem at top, he was the one! The process was super simple and fast, all done and ready to go home with 5 minutes! We took our tree tag and paid for it. Next we found an employee that removed the base (optional rebar stand if you want to keep it), bagged our tree and placed it in our car (Tesla MY) and it fit perfectly! We trimmed the trunk base and up it went! With some minor adjustments, we had our Christmas tree all set up! Smoothest year so far! This year's tree was perfect! Absolutely gorgeous! Simply the best! She told me that she didn't think I put in the right place but we decided to go anyway. We saw that this place was so cute and had so many fun little things to see. At the time there was a sort of craft swap meet too. There were so many creative creators. I almost went broke. They have a decent size store that had about average prices. We got some great deals at the swap meet as well There is a small coffee shop and the lady behind the counter was super friendly. The coffee was average. It could have been less milky but my grandson loved his smoothie. There were a couple of cute chickens in a pen. There is a small sand pit for toddlers and also a swing set for smaller kids as well. There is a flower maze near the beginning The maze does need a bit of a makeover but we still had a nice time looking at the tall sunflowers. They have a small kissing bridge for a cute photo op I will definitely be back with my other grandchildren.
