The food was great! Their biscuits are amazing. Tastes like they are made on the premises. Not trucked in and reheated or pulled from a bag. All employees are friendly and courteous. Would definitely eat there again read more

II used to go to this restaurant over the decades when it was a Dillon's so I was shocked when I drove by and saw the place had changed, noticed that it said it was a breakfast and lunch spot. Figured I'd eventually stop by for a breakfast. I finally did today. Let me state that the food and service were very good and I have no complaints at all in that regard However, there was this ultra-Conservative, Christian, nationalist vibe to the decor including passages glorifying Jesus on the walls and a big American flag with the pledge of allegiance on it. Country music blared the whole time I was there including one song where it sounded like the singer was essentially threatening anyone that had any criticism of our country. Now places of business are free to do whatever they want and cater to whatever clientele they wish but that ought to be clear from their sign. You want your restaurant to be some advertisement for your choice of religion, then put a cross on your sign or something. Maybe I should know from the name of the place that there was some farm theme? There's another meaning which is a solid punch in a fight. Hmmmm. During this time of political polarization we have experienced recently and this steady creep of violent right wing bullying, much of it in the name of evangelical Christianity, the last thing many of us want is to go into a restaurant, where we are there to enjoy some peace and a good meal and get bombarded with this bizarre mix of nationalism blasted at you from the walls. News for the owners. There's a whole lot of us out there that 1. Don't share your religious beliefs and 2. Are not in line with this pushy nationalistic, cowboy ideal. The most patriotic people I know, ones that have made sacrifices for the democracy and life we enjoy, are also the ones that don't have to shout it from the rafters. I'm quite a student of history. It's been a passion of mine throughout life. Every time there was some coupling of fervent religious belief with politics and nationalism it has become a horror. If you want to alienate a good half or more of the population, this theme doesn't sound like a great business decision but more power to you. I won't be coming back. read more

Nice remodel, Dillons was worn down and it now looks much better for an older building. The food portions are good size and/or loaded when you order something like an Omlette. Happy hour most of they day, I believe 11-6. Good replacement for Dillons with some similarities. read more

Love the overall theme of this place putting God and Country in statements on all the walls... this is what every American business should be like. Came here for breakfast... great menu choices with decent prices. Had the country fried steak on homemade biscuits! Delicious! Our server was polite and friendly... but she was our second server as our first server never came around... except after we sat she came by 10 minutes after. So, a second server came, took care of us, and everything was all right after that. Or was it? When my wife and I walked in to the restaurant there was one hostess (we'll call her Hostess One) rubbing her eyes, then she rubbed her nose, and then she rubbed her mouth. The other hostess (hostess two) asked Hostess One if a certain table was available. Hostess One went to look and came back and said yes. Hostess One proceeded to grab our menus and utensils when I mentioned that I saw her rubbing her eyes, nose, and mouth and that she needed to wash her hands before touching anything else. Hostess One stated, "I just spilled water all over myself." I asked Hostess One if she had a food handlers card. Hostess Two said, "We all do." I looked at Hostess Two and said, "Then she should know that it's a county environmental services requirement that she wash her hands after she touches her face as the face is where a lot of bacteria like to grow," The two hostesses looked at each other and shrugged while Hostess Two took over and grabbed our menus and utensils and led us to our table. Where we sat I could see the hostess station fairly well... Hostess One never washed her hands all the while taking new guests to their tables with her bacteria riddled hands. Now, I'm not 100% sure of this part, but it makes sense and my wife can confirm that our original waitress went over and talked to the two hostesses... who must've mumbled something about the jerk customer who told Hostess One to wash her hands. That's when our first waitress began to ignore us. I asked waitress two what happened to waitress one and waitress two said she got busy with another group. I don't believe this as I watched waitress one for the remainder of my breakfast and there was no large group she was taking care of nor were there any large amount of tables that would have overburdened waitress one. Besides, we're still in this stupid (and made up) Corona virus epidemic that had the Haymaker close off every other table to help with social distancing. So... waitress one was definitely not being overworked. She just refused to serve us. So, overall the food was delicious. But the service was pretty much terrible. Albeit our second waitress was great (a middle aged woman), but the two hostesses and waitress one were all teenagers and acted like teenagers in their snooty attitudes towards someone who just wanted restaurant workers to comply with county hygiene requirements. I'll give this place another try as I believe in second chances. However, it seems that management needs to have a serious talk and serious training with every employee on proper hygiene and food safety as these teenagers didn't seem to care on iota about public safety. This all occurred @ 11am on Sunday, June 7, 2020 if Haymaker management reads this and wants to identify who their lackey teenagers are. read more

Heard good things about this place, as they serve breakfast lunch and dinner all day. Went in this morning for breakfast with my gf. 30 min after ordering, our food came out and the waitress brought me Egg Benedict when I Clearly asked for a patty melt, when I told her I ordered a patty melt, she rudely responded no you did not you said egg Benedict? I never order eggs, nor do I care to order eggs. She ended up eventually bringing me the correct meal, long story short both meals were cold, and when we got the tab patty melt was listed correctly, so either she corrected it, or it was right the whole time and she has an attitude problem. Will never go here again unfortunately terrible food and terrible customer service. I hope this saves someone a trip and an $15 breakfast that taste terrible. read more

Love the place! Great food and great service, Miranda is great! We love all the haymaker locations, but this one is our favorite.

I called in an order to pick up on my way home from training. The person over the phone was pleasant and I had no trouble getting my order in. The food was ready to go by the specified time they said it would be ready. I've been to the other locations and was happy to see that this one was closer to me. The burgers tasted great. read more

We live nearby; we would love to see you succeed. We have been there twice in the past month. Our overall impression is fair at best. The first time we were there, we couldn't even tell if you were open for happy hour. 4:30 and not one car in the lot. There were three people at the bar when the four of us walked in. We have had the same server both times. He does a good job. His tip went down last week because of a snarky comment. Last week, we were there with friends. One friend ordered the wings. They were dry and almost burned. Our server was very accommodating in getting a new order for him and our friend said those wings were good. We ordered a pastrami sandwich. We hadn't eaten any of it yet when our friend complained about the wings so we had no comments to offer. The sandwich was horrid. Bread was not grilled; pastrami was the consistency of dried beef as if it had been left uncovered for a long time. The sandwich was cold and dry. No flavor whatsoever. The fries were undercooked and mealy. Our server took care of filling water glasses; he never asked if our food was OK nor did we say anything to him. We were enjoying time with friends; they were enjoying their food so we let it go. As we were leaving, I told our server that our feedback to the kitchen was that it was awful. When he saw that the sandwich was eaten, his snarky comment was, "I can see that you didn't enjoy it AT ALL" I didn't think I owed him the explanation that my husband is diabetic and needed to eat. I emphasized to our server that I was simply giving him feedback for the kitchen; I wasn't asking for compensation. He did volunteer a 25% discount on the sandwich. Both times we have been there for happy hour; both times the large bar area is almost empty; both times our food has been awful. You have a lot of competition in the area with much better food and beer offerings at similar or lower prices. We wish you well but you need to step up your game with much better food; some local craft brews. A daily happy hour special? A new cook? A true pint of beer rather than a canning jar? Something has to change if you are going to survive. We hope you can make it work. read more

Great service. Not to crowded, relaxed atmosphere. Food is not greasy like some of those other chain restaurants.

Food was meh. Service was meh. Place was rundown looking. Called to make sure they had misters and they said yes, but when we got there, even tho it was hot and several people on the patio, they did not have them on. So overall, meh. read more

This place is a nice little restaurant right off the freeway. We ordered the lattes to start. I got the Cocomo Joe and it was amazing. I ordered the Haymaker Benedict and I thought it was delicious. My husband got the brisket skillet and it was okay. The brisket had a good texture but not much flavor. The potatoes were very crispy though which was nice. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would recommend. read more

I give our experience today is five stars mainly because the pleasant and upbeat bartender, Trina. We have visited this restaurant many times and been treated poorly by a non-smiling and non-friendly crew led by Nicky. Trina and her crew made our visit fun and memorable today. What a pleasant change! Next time we'll be calling ahead to ensure Trina is working!!! read more

We went here yesterday 7/10/20. They are seating people far apart from each other which is great but my menu was sticky so they are clearly not sanitizing them in between customers. They are laminated so they could easily be cleaned and sanitized. We ordered the onion rings, pulled pork sandwich and the chicken fried chicken. The onion rings were just ok. My husband said they grew on him. I only ate one and didn't want another. We both got coleslaw for our side. The menu says it's a apple cider vinegar coleslaw. We both agreed that it had no flavor at all. I think they forgot to put in the ACV because you would be able to taste it for sure. The pulled pork was good. My favorite part of the meal was the BBQ sauce and the onion straws on the sandwich. The chicken fried chicken was really different. The gravy was more like a sauce and it had corn in it. I thought it was ok, my hubby didn't like it. We really were hoping it would be good so we could go back and try one of their Benedict's for breakfast. We won't be going back. read more

The absolute worst dining experience I've ever had - bar none! The food was atrocious. Everything was bad, even my grandson's grilled cheese sandwich. The ribs and brisket was so dry they were uneatable. The fries tasted like they had fried them 3 months ago. My first and last time going there. read more

Just came in for a couple of bare bloody Marys which were excellent and the only reason the place gets 2 stars. We sat in the bar area and the service was EXCEPTIONALLY slow. We have been here twice now, once for breakfast and once for dinner. The food was amazing both times but at dinner time we sat at the bar and the bartender was not very friendly. Usually that's why we sit at a bar is to have conversations with the staff. The food made up for it but was a little disappointing. read more

Yuck, yuck yuck. We are from Vail, AZ but drove to Peoria to meet my daughter and two granddaughters for lunch. She wanted to try Haymaker. I ordered the Haymaker Benedict. Wife ordered patty melt with a salad. She enjoyed her salad, and ate a few bites of her patty melt. Mine tasted like it was made in a Crockpot. I ate half of it and pushed it off to the side. Waitress asked if I cared for it. I told her it didn't work at all for me. No offer to bring me something else, and yes I paid full price. Would not go back. Too many other places to try. read more

Great ambiance to this place. I was excited when we pulled up to a beautiful building, awesome patio area, and a clean and welcome inside. However, it didn't remain as awesome as I would have hoped. Service was lacking and the food was mediocre at best. The slimmest portion sizes that make you feel a bit robbed after you leave. I saw more white plate than I did food. If you're looking for a place to relax with a cup of coffee, it would be a great stop. If you're hungry, go somewhere else. read more
