Took my cousin for their first time and she loved it. The chef did amazing in interacting with the customers and the show was great. Food was delicious, they do serve enough to have left overs. The wheelchair accessible was awesome. We got parking in the front, ramp was wide enough and accessible. Come in for a Sushi Rolls Take Out Order at 9:30pm on a Saturday. The host gladly took the order and have to wait for more than 40 minutes for 3 sushi rolls. Wanted to cancel and one of the waitress confirm the order was canceled too with a very stern face with no response to hospitality. When I come to the sushi station, the chef and the waitress was having a blast while making I'm assuming my order after 40 minutes. I still paid for my food since my wife needs it but if she doesn't, I couldnt careless. Very bad customer services or maybe this place has a "thing" with racial profiling to Asian. Maybe. So, me and my family have been coming to Hayashi for years, it even used to be my annual birthday dinner spot, but to say it's gone down hill in the year or two pause since we last made it out is an understatement. The service was pleasant enough, but the food was atrocious. The sushi was very hard to eat, we got our regular roll the Queen Mahi plus the California that comes with the Bentos, and the flavor of vinegar on the rice was overwhelming and the bits of raw fish on top of some pieces were shockingly bitter, not spoiled mind you, just bitter like it was the lowest quality sashimi grade fish they could get. The steak in the Bento was also cooked very poorly, it was medium rare, but the fat was entirely white while the meat itself was cooked closer to a medium, and the whole thing was chewy. And while their Kani salad tasted good, the giant chunks of cucumber were a bit much. Still, I have to give some kudos to the things they did well like their salmon teriyaki, tempura vegetables, dumplings, and avocado salad, but the disappointment in what should be some of their signature dishes (sushi and sashimi) plus the very high prices was enough to solidify that we won't be coming back. read more

We had a party of 12 on a Friday evening. First off I was served a rank and broken Cabernet. Then when my glass of water fell I've and went everywhere, they wiped it onto my lap, never replaced it either. I was looking forward to the best fried rice to only have tasteless rice put on our plates- then we barely got any veggies ! The cook made some sauce with siracha, butter, lime juice and soy sauce for guest who had requested it in Spanish. I have never seen that at a Hibachi restaurant. I was not offered any since the while conversation was in Spanish. I used to be a a huge fan of this place, I'm not sure if they're management has changed but the service during lunch the last two times have been awful. The last time we went we sat and waited for 10 minutes for Someone to even greet two people (mind you there was someone behind us working on fixing a door that seemed to be a server) after waiting for another 5 minutes we finally walked out. Today we gave it one last chance...our host took us to the hibachi table and pulled out our chair and 4 or 5 bugs were dead on the chair!!! We've been here a few times. It's progressively deteriorating in cleanliness and service. We last visited a couple of nights ago and the floors were slippery, greasy, and littered with debris. Where we sat, there were two large tubs left on the floor with dirty and wet cloth napkins in them like they were there to catch leaking water. It was very tacky that they were left right next to our table. Our table was also greasy and not cleaned well. Lastly, every dish they brought to our table was wet like it was just out of the dishwasher and at least once was greasy. Wet dishes is a huge red flag for any restaurant. The sushi we ordered was ok, though the salmon sashimi was not cut correctly and resulted in big bulky and unevenly cut pieces. Hayashi will likely be closed within a years time as the quality and cleanliness of this popular restaurant is on the decline. read more

We ordered Filet Mignon ($30) and Shrimp hibachi ($22), came with broth soup, salad (ginger something dressing), white rice (sub fried rice for additional $3) and veggies. We didn't ordered fried rice and we told the chef when we notice the discrepancy, the chef made sure we had white rice instead of fried rice but we still got charged for the fried rice. Restaurant is disgusting dirty. They brought me five forks (cleanest in photo and came with washed on leftover rice). Nobody busses tables for the two hours we were there. Staff handled food without out proper precautions. Laziest staff ever. I literally had to get up and one point and ask them to stop gossiping around the bar and bring my table sodas. To start of, I don't get the 3- star reviews on here. Maybe they have improved a lot since then. Been to the restaurant twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times, the food was fantastic. The service was nothing I could complain about. We had the hibachi and some sushi both times. The only small complain I have was the chef from our lunch time was a little messy when it comes to his cooking, besides that, the hibachi there is probably better than Benihana. Sushi is all pretty decent price, fresh and tasty. They do put on a good show when it comes to the hibachi, but of course, it all depends on who you got as your chef. It all might vary a little bit. I really liked the sushi here. All my friends keep saying, "Kumori is awesome"! I think Kumori is OK, but this place is better. I sat at the sushi bar and talked to the chef. Told him what I liked and he made me a special roll that was not even on the menu. It was a really good and spicy roll with yellowtail in it. I also ordered some nigiri(albacore). I've had fresher. That's my only gripe. I will add that the sushi chef was awesome! My plate looked amazing. He is not just a chef but an artist as well. I took pictures with my phone! read more
