My friends and I arrived about 1 pm, and the place started filling up quickly right after. She made several suggestions regarding the lunch menu (all of them good), and seemed to be familiar with all the items on the menu - which is pretty big! As for the food... absolutely delicious! I had the dragon roll, with chicken fried rice, miso soup, and pork dumplings. The servings are VERY ample and you will not walk away hungry! I suggest the bento boxes. VERY reasonably priced and a good sampling of everything. I especially want to call out the chicken fried rice. I don't know what they do differently, but it was above and beyond the best I've ever had - and I've eaten a LOT of fried rice in my lifetime.

He's honestly one of the main reasons several of us stopped visiting this location and haven't been back in about a year. Today, I walked in for a pickup order and, sure enough, there he was. We made eye contact probably three times before he eventually scoffed and waved his hand as if to say, "someone else can deal with the customer," before walking into the back kitchen. I waited around 10 minutes for someone to help me with my pickup order. Another gentleman working the grill area, who spoke very limited English, tried to communicate through hand gestures that someone would come assist me. I understood what he meant, but it really made me wonder: shouldn't all employees be able to handle a basic pickup order? By the time I got my food, it was cold. The dim sum short rib was especially disappointing. The flavor had a metallic, almost like table-water taste with every bite. It was unpleasant enough that I had to stop eating it and cleanse my palate with something else. The Sumo Wrestler, Gyoza Wagyu, and Spicy Tan Tan were still good, but even those didn't feel as efficient or consistent as we remembered. After being away for about a year, I came back expecting the same experience we had previously--and unfortunately, Sumo has noticeably slipped in both service and food quality. I'll need to revise my previous review. Overall, I'm dropping Sumo from 5 stars to 3 stars, primarily because of the decline in service and quality.

They give you a generous amount of side dishes, I recommend trying every side dish at least once. Food comes out very quickly. Good service overall. The Tteokbokki was perfect. A nice blend of spicy and sweet, the fish cakes were personally my favorite part. I just wish they gave you a side of rice with it because it leaves behind so much sauce and I know it would taste so good if you dumped a bowl of rice in it. Jajangmyeon was also very good. Lots of sauce and veggies and a few bits of meat. The flavor was savory, rich, and a bit sweet. Overall very good, though i do wish it came with more noodles as I was left with a lot of sauce and onions. Overall I had a good experience. I will be coming again!
