High Price, very rude Hawk Security took over a few years ago when they bought out our old company. They demanded we "upgrade" just to keep the service, and jacked up the price by 78% from the old rate. We put up with this until this month, then found several companies with much better deals and service reputations. When I called Hawk they did not offer to match the lower rates, but insulted me instead and told me I had to pay in advance for June PLUS they would not cancel service for 30 days. My new security system make me feel safe in ways I had not expected. The manager came over and personally helped me set up rules for my system that send alerts to our phones INCLUDING one that now ALERTS ME if someone or something ENTERS my POOL!!!! I have a locking gate for my backyard but the twins are almost 6 and I had some concerns they might climb it and get adventurous when I wasn't looking. I could even set another alert to let me know if someone is on the stairs down to my yard. I can add the kids parents when the kids are visiting so they can see and watch when the kids are in the pool. I can add and change alerts as often as needed and Rocky at Hawk Security will helps if I forget how. Their customer service has been AMAZING!!!!! I didn't like something and he came out and corrected it immediately! We've been customers of ADT/Protection One for over 25 years. Recently we had a connection issue. The alarm would go off in the middle of the night & that's not fun. We tried to get them to fix it, but they were unwilling to keep us happy. My little brother has been with Hawk Security for some time & he called them to set up an appointment. The installer was very professional and had excellent communication skills. He took the time to show us all of the features we would be using. In my honest opinion, STAY AWAY!!! Possibly the worst company I have ever come into contact with. Frank was very friendly when he came into our home and set us up, however, we also let him know we may be moving in a few months. He said it would be no problem to cancel the service if we did actually end up moving. Fast forward to today and Hawk Security claims no one ever said that, Frank has dodged all my calls and texts asking him to own up to all of this, and they even got their legal team involved to tell us no matter what we would have to pay. I told them I would be posting a negative review and they then threatened their legal team on me again (sorry legal team, I can post a review of the terrible customer service and threats if I want to). Horrible disgrace of a company, dishonest, and now we're stuck paying for the next three years on a house we don't even live in anymore. We just recently moved into our new home and of course with that everyone from water units to security systems targeted us. There were four different companies that attempted to reel us in. We said no every time, mainly bc we wanted to save money and purchase a system that we could monitor without the high cost and contract...that was until we met Tom Huber. Switched to Hawk security and couldn't been happier !!! Love their iPhone app that it comes with! We also got the doorbell camera, security camera as well as 20 window sensors !! Not only my previous security system was outdated, and kept going off with any loud sneeze or noise, it was not keeping my home and family fully protected!! AVOID THESE Guys!!!! They installed equipment that worked only intermittently then blamed our house wireless as the culprit. It did not perform, constantly went out, and they refused to provide any option to cancel the contract for the entire 3 years. I tried to contact them for customer service numbers which were not answered. At all! I had to write them a letter to get them even to contact me. I wrote them a letter 60 days prior to contract end date providing written notice to cancel my contract and then they continued to charge my bank account. I called requesting them to refund the erroneous charge. I then filled out their online request to cancel. They didn't refund the charge and proceeded to charge my account again.
