Frustrating, but I was understanding. When I returned for the rescheduled appointment, I was running late (my fault), but after trying to call three times to explain I was stuck in traffic, I was met with attitude. Not exactly the welcome you hope for when already stressed. The ultrasound itself was awful. This was my first ultrasound with this baby -- a huge, emotional moment -- and the tech made it miserable. Instead of showing me anything, she made me lie back and stare at the ceiling for nearly 10 minutes without a word. When I sat up, desperate just to glimpse the screen, she told me to lie down and stop. I explained how excited I was, hoping she'd show some warmth. She didn't. No reassurance, no kindness. I laid there crying -- twice -- and she still said nothing. It was heartbreaking. To make it worse, my husband wasn't allowed in because we had our daughter with us (who would've quietly sat on his lap). I understand policies, but this was an incredibly important family moment that deserved more compassion. Compared to my previous pregnancies, this experience was night and day. Other places tell you measurements, heartbeat details, and make it exciting. Here, I wasn't told anything until the very end -- just a quick glimpse of the baby's head, body, and legs. That was it. I didn't even get the information I went in for, to confirm how far along I was. If you have a choice, go somewhere else. I highly recommend LIV -- they are kind, allow children, and make expecting families feel truly cared for. That's what every mother-to-be deserves. In short: I expected a warm, special experience seeing my baby for the first time. Instead, I was ignored, dismissed, and left devastated with no information about my baby.

When COVID hit, I was hesitant to get a Mammogram during the crisis on the Big Island. My last…read moremammogram was in Oct 2019 and according to the letter I got, It was clean. Fast forward to 2021, we moved to a little town in NE Washington and I get scheduled for a mammogram. I provide all the information I have on the Hawaii Radiologic and signed a authorization for release of Information and scans and Mid Valley Hospital in Omak, never heard one peep, word or correspondence from this facility... Fast forward and I have had to undergo another mammogram and ultrasound, because the hospital here had no previous scans to review and that is concerning, since, my scans recently showed abnormalities. I left Hawaii, because it was the worse health care system I ever experienced. I can't recommend this facility and if you use it, "GET A COPY" of your x-rays or mammograms, before you leave the facility. I am scheduled for a 3rd mammogram in a few months, along with another ultrasound... All because Hawaii Radiologic did not respond to a records request!!! Kaiser is losing its customer care service by rushing their patients and not "listening" to their…read morelegitimate requests. I was recently seen by a Chow Hwang PA-C for a painful 3+cm cyst removal on my midback centered over my spine. Local anesthesia was done. I was cut open and prodded to drain that cyst. Packed with dressing. PA-C Chow states it's gonna hurt after so I'll give you a work slip for 2 days. I mentioned a few vicodins should cover that pain.. easy fix. I asked the PA-C if she could cover the wound with Tegaderm/opsite for more protection from outside elements. Her first response was, "We dont have that here in the clinic." WTH?!? Im a retired Kaiser RN for 22 years. I know the clinics carry it. I also had to make sure the PA-C ordered a Rocephin IM injection to prevent any infection at the spinal site. She seemed hesitant thinking the prior course of oral Bactrim would take care of any infection. I also requested narcotic pain meds for comfort when the lidocaine wears off. Remember I came in because of pain to the site. Medical Assistant Marcia was awesome. While doing the dressing change she was able to get a few Tegaderms to help protect the surgical incision. Chow Hwang PA-C the clinic STILL HAS THEM. Thank you Marcia MA. When I went to the pharmacy to pick up my meds there were no pain meds and was told that the provider has 2 more patients then will get back to you. 40min passed and still no reply. Went to the front desk and asked a friend to call the MA to find out what's taking so long and also needed my work slip. Was told the MD is not prescribing pain meds. WTHHH! Make me wait like a dumbass for nothing like my time is not worth anything. Definitely not patient oriented. What happened to Kaiser?

That is simply not acceptable to me. I've paid into Medicare for over 30 years and this is the type of service I am eligible for? Needless to say I will be going with another healthcare company as of 2/1. Unbelievable!
