The nurses were very rude and talked about me behind my back in a very condescending way. I could hear them talking through the door.

Quick, efficient. We were in and out within an hour and a half with exactly what we needed. Staff was courteous and caring, which was nice.

Jason Chan was the nurse that helped me and my children each time we went in.

This was hands down the worst experience I've ever had…read more My original appointment had to be rescheduled because they didn't have the right ultrasound tech. Frustrating, but I was understanding. When I returned for the rescheduled appointment, I was running late (my fault), but after trying to call three times to explain I was stuck in traffic, I was met with attitude. Not exactly the welcome you hope for when already stressed. The ultrasound itself was awful. This was my first ultrasound with this baby -- a huge, emotional moment -- and the tech made it miserable. Instead of showing me anything, she made me lie back and stare at the ceiling for nearly 10 minutes without a word. When I sat up, desperate just to glimpse the screen, she told me to lie down and stop. I explained how excited I was, hoping she'd show some warmth. She didn't. No reassurance, no kindness. I laid there crying -- twice -- and she still said nothing. It was heartbreaking. To make it worse, my husband wasn't allowed in because we had our daughter with us (who would've quietly sat on his lap). I understand policies, but this was an incredibly important family moment that deserved more compassion. Compared to my previous pregnancies, this experience was night and day. Other places tell you measurements, heartbeat details, and make it exciting. Here, I wasn't told anything until the very end -- just a quick glimpse of the baby's head, body, and legs. That was it. I didn't even get the information I went in for, to confirm how far along I was. If you have a choice, go somewhere else. I highly recommend LIV -- they are kind, allow children, and make expecting families feel truly cared for. That's what every mother-to-be deserves. In short: I expected a warm, special experience seeing my baby for the first time. Instead, I was ignored, dismissed, and left devastated with no information about my baby.

I was in a deep decline when I met Kevin and fortunately he had the technique that enabled me to start improving. By the time I met him 9 years in, I had tried "everything" years of chiropractic care, massage, craniosacral, myofascial release, acupuncture, supplements, diets, eating healthy, exercise. But nevertheless, I was crumbling. I had no energy, I was constantly in pain, my shoulder and entire right side were beginning to weaken all the way down to my legs and feet. I was beginning to fear that I would never get better. From my first adjustment with Kevin I had faith I would make a complete recovery which I now have. I am so very greatful that he and the atlas orthogonal technique came into my life.

Kevin Perrino at Head and Neck Center of Hawaii is by far THE BEST chiropractor I have ever encountered. His knowledge and attention to his patients is beyond the call of duty! His meticulousness and care of my Atlas (C1) is incomparable to any other treatment I have had in the past, and his prices are very reasonable compared to any other chiropractors. He truly cares and takes time with each of his patients. His wife Pat is the office manager, is so friendly, polite and considered, and the office is super clean and welcoming. Take it from an (unlucky) injured pro, this is the only chiropractor worth your time and money. His gentle and professional approach to his healing of his patients is epic.

What are dull needles good for? Nothing. They're pointless!…read more I like to think I'm generally a pretty healthy person. If ever I get sick, it's usually not anything worse than the common cold. Recently, however, I did have reason to go in to get checked out and was ordered to get my blood tested. Enter Diagnostic Laboratory Services (DLS). Located very closely to Dr. Rodney Ono/Dr. Matthew Dykema's office, DLS is right around the corner in the exact same building. Requiring less than a minute of wandering around, looking for the right door (in my experience, at least). When you enter, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Instructing you on exactly what it is that you need to do, in a clear and concise manner. It may also have been coincidence, but when I went there was basically no wait between when I got there and handed in my papers, to when I was called back to have my blood drawn. Which is always a plus in my book. As you're taken into the back, the staff are again very friendly and personable. Doing all that they can to get your mind off of the fact that you're about about to have a large needle poked into your arm. To their credit, it did work to a degree! Having heard some horror stories about having blood drawn (technicians not being able to find a vein, leaving a big bruise, etc.), I think that this experience was quite good. Getting the blood drawn was quick and relatively painless, and the staff were nothing but nice the entire time. If ever you are given a choice of what lab to use for blood tests or something, I wouldn't hesitate to use DLS. Or, if you know that you do have to go there for tests, I wouldn't sweat it.
