Came for dinner to celebrate my dad's bday. The atmosphere is cozy, service is very good, and food was wonderful! Very happy with the whole experience. I ordered the fried chicken which is the Sunday daily special, dad got the red shrimp and valenza spaghetti, and my sister's family shared the brussels, crispy oysters, and short rib. Everything was delicious! Lastly we ordered the banana pudding for bday dessert which the kids loved! Will definitely be back. This place is a definite gem.

I finally had a chance to stop in to Haven and boy did I pick the perfect time. I had dinner here on NYE and it was buzzing. I found street parking but otherwise I think they have valet. They weren't taking walk ins because the resys were fully booked. Luckily, I was able to grab a bar seat and was attended to by two lovely bartenders. They still had holiday decor up and the lights were dimmed for a nice, intimate dinner. There were two tv's at the bar and they promptly turned it to the college football playoff game. I ended up choosing the Mahi Mahi for dinner which was deliciously buttery with a kick. The pineapple salsa gave it a slight sweetness which was unexpected but welcomed. I had two martinis which were both fine, with Bare Bones vodka being preferred in this establishment. Because it was NYE, my dinner came with a wristband to grant me entry into the WOM restaurant group party at Arnette's Chophouse. Lovely! I would definitely eat here again, regardless of the holiday.

I know my original review said I didn't feel the need to go back, but now I have 3 check-ins. We had a dinner reservation for party of 4 at 7:45 pm on Saturday, 1/4/25. We were seated right away. Parked for free on the street. We got 2 appetizers and each got our own entree. Here's what I ate: - Homemade Yeast Rolls ($6.50): Good. - Potato Hay ($7): Elevated hash browns due to the parmesan and white truffle oil. Nice and crispy. - Haven Burger, sub Brussels Sprouts ($25): Just an average burger, nothing special. I subbed fries since we basically had fries for our appetizer. I was grateful to the chef for being willing to make the substitution! The brussels were very, very oily though and I wouldn't get them again. Also the bacon was very thick, which I'm not a fan of. If the bacon was thin and crispy, I would've enjoyed that more. Others in my party got the Sautéed North Georgia Trout ($28) and Spinach Caramelle ($26). They said it was good. Overall, it was fine.

Came for first time today for brunch. The parking was easy for they have valet. The restaurant was very charming and busy. We had a Bloody Mary, beignets, potatoes and City Ham and spinach Benedict's. Everything was delicious and looking forward to coming back to try dinner.

Great brunch spot in downtown Brookhaven. We came in last weekend at 10 when they opened. We did make a reservation which id suggest since it really filled up quickly. We sat on the patio. We started with coffees and the beignets. For my entree, I got the spinach and goat cheese omelet. I loved the breakfast potatoes. This is a great spot to come when you are looking for a nicer brunch option!

Had a wonderful brunch with some girlfriends on a Saturday late morning. We had an amazing corner booth. Great coffee and Bellinis and great service! Our server was amazing! Great recommendations from him. He was super attentive but not overly interruptive. Moderate noise as there were several big groups celebrating events. Our food was great! Came out in a timely manner! The beignets we had as an appetizer instead of dessert and were the hit! We also had the crispy chicken sandwich, French toast, and short rib hash special. Easy to make a reservation and didn't have to wait. Valet parking available as well as some minimal self parking.

My husband and I stumbled upon Haven when we were desperately trying to find a brunch spot in the Brookhaven area. Haven is tucked away in the Village Place Brookhaven shopping center next to several other local businesses. I knew when we walked in the door that this was the right place to be! Thankfully, We were seated pretty immediately, even though we didn't have a reservation. Our server, William, was awesome!! He really made sure we had top tier service all around. We both ended up ordering omelettes; I had the special which was a goat cheese and mushroom omelette, and my husband got a ham and cheese omelette. The omelettes themselves were OK, nothing special. The potatoes that come on the side were delicious! Perfectly crispy and well seasoned. I must also note that many other dishes I saw looked delish, so I plan to come back and try more items. All and all, we really enjoyed our time at Haven. The service itself would make me come back and visit their other sister restaurants.

We had Sunday brunch here in April 2023 On Sunday, you can self park in the back even though the sign says valet. I got the steak and eggs and it is a winner. It was absolutely delicious. The steak was so tender and it was a ton of food too. We ordered the beignets but they weren't my favorite. The inside was kinda chewy but not really flavorful, just the taste of dough. They have powdered sugar but really needed a side of caramel or chocolate sauce in my opinion. I'd skip these next time. The drinks were different variations of mimosas, strong on the wine. They were good but I really liked whatever cocktail my friend had best so I'll have to try out their liquor cocktails next time instead of the wine ones I'd definitely come back for the steak and eggs again though!

We had a large party of 10 and they sat us for Sunday brunch. Coffee was good, beignets were excellent, Bloody Mary was okay. I do love this restaurant. Service is always excellent.

Nice spot in Brookhaven for dinner. The restaurant is quaint & a bit smaller, but super loud. I would say this wouldn't be an ideal first date spot as it's very loud but the food is great. Parking is valet only. I ordered a scallop special & the pairing with the scallops was great. The scallops were a bit tough, but otherwise the dish was good. My mom ordered the pork chop & it was good. The grits paired with it enhance the pork chop flavoring. It was a large sized pork chop too, so no skimping on size. Our waitress was good & attentive. I'd come back!

It came with a cornbread, a buttery biscuit, and banana pudding. I was pleasantly surprised by the other items since the ordering site only listed the entree. Best Shrimp & Grits I've had to date. The shrimp was fresh and not overcooked or rubbery. The grits were smooth. The gravy was well seasoned, but not overly salty or rich. The cornbread and bread or biscuit was good, but not extraordinary. Those were quite dense and heavy paired with the other food. I loved the banana pudding. This meal jumpstarted my banana pudding hyper fixation. Very fragrant and not too thick yet still nice and creamy. It wasn't overly sweet or heavy either. It was a good dessert to round out the meal. I hope to come here again and have an actual sit down experience. Curious to see the ambiance!

I decided to have a tapas-style dinner with food from The Works and just had to grab some chicken from Delilah's. The menu is plentiful without being overwhelming, except when it comes to picking a favorite between the flavorful options. I knew that I didn't want or need a full meal and opted for their 3 whole wing option that came paired with cornbread. The young man who took my order was so polite and patient, as there were a few folks in line and waiting for previously placed orders. He let me know that my order would be ready in about 15 minutes so I took the time to continue my food-finding journey around the market. When I returned later, I had lost track of time and figured I'd just poke my head around their stall to see if my chicken was ready. It wasn't at that moment but I took some time to observe the process. There was only one guy in the open kitchen and prep area creating all of the meals and he was on the move. If I could add smells to my review, this one would smell like fried chicken and cornbread. It was all so fresh! When my order was ready, I only made one other stop before heading to my car to go home to my family... but not before I tested those whole wings from Delilah's. When I say that they were fresh out of the grease? Babehhh. It's like he just threw them right into the basket only seconds before. It was sooo crunchy, so juicy, just a fantastic wing. The hot sauce was a nice pairing but some spice in the breading/meat would have taken it over the top but this chicken was delicious. No notes.

It cured our souls. We asked the generous, wonderful lady at the counter about the story of Delilah's: was she a real person, who is she, etc. her answers made us fall in love even more... this is a genuine, family-owned and operated enterprise! We love, love, loved our food and I can't wait to go back and soport again!!! You gotta try it.

The food was seasoned perfectly, the atmosphere was unmatched, and the entire experience felt like the perfect mix of soulful comfort food and an Atlanta day party vibe. The second and third visits weren't quite as strong as my first experience, but overall, the food is still really good and absolutely worth trying. What keeps me coming back is the energy. The music is ALWAYS on point. Whether it's the DJ, live music, or the overall crowd, the vibe feels like classic Atlanta brunch culture done right. You walk in and instantly feel the energy before the food even hits the table. A lot of reviews mention how lively and upbeat the atmosphere is, and I completely agree -- it's definitely more of a "good vibes with friends" spot than a quiet dinner place. The drinks are also a highlight. Strong, flavorful, and made well every time I've been. The cocktails honestly match the atmosphere perfectly and add to the overall experience. The service has been consistently good too. The staff is friendly, attentive, and does a great job managing the busy crowd and high-energy environment. Food-wise, I can understand some of the mixed reviews because the consistency hasn't been exactly the same on every visit for me either. My first visit was definitely the best, but even on the later visits, there were still standout dishes and good flavor overall. When Virgil's gets it right, it REALLY gets it right. The portions are solid, the menu is creative, and the mix of Southern/Gullah-inspired flavors makes it stand out from a lot of brunch spots in Atlanta. Overall, Virgil's is more than just a restaurant -- it's an experience. Good food, good drinks, good music, and a vibe that keeps people coming back. If you're visiting Atlanta and want a brunch or dinner spot with energy and culture, Virgil's is definitely worth checking out.

Couldn't have been happier with our choice. Reviews I'd seen online mentioned parking is a bit limited and that the restaurant is frequently busy. So we were prepared for that even though we were going on a Thursday mid morning. I think there was an influx of people celebrating graduations because it was in fact very busy. However we got very lucky with parking and happened to come in right as someone was leaving. I was sure we would have a wait for a table, which of course would have been fine, but actually we were seated immediately! Which was super nice and unexpected. The atmosphere is bustling but not in a bad way. The restaurant itself is adorable and has a lot of character. It feels like you're having breakfast at an old friend's house. The service was great and our food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. I ordered a specialty coffee, I believe it was the almond joy cold brew, and it was delicious. Strong, which is how I like it and not overly sweet. I ordered the chicken biscuit on the waiter's recommendation and it was absolutely the best fried chicken I've ever had. Juicy and crispy. My husband ordered the pimento cheese omelette and was very happy with it, the bacon was thick cut and smoky and flavorful. The pimento cheese grits that came on the side for me were also a stand out, such great flavor. The biscuits are fantastic and the blueberry basil jam that came with my husband's meal was such a nice touch. We will absolutely make a point to come back to Buttermilk Kitchen next time we visit the Atlanta area.

First things first: the Chicken Biscuit. Buttermilk Kitchen's biscuit is on the crunchy, honey-flavored side. I personally prefer fluffier, more buttery biscuits, so this one wasn't my favorite. That aside, the chicken was crispy and well-seasoned and paired well with the cheese grits. If you ever wanted a dry, crunchy version of Homegrown's Comfy Chicken Biscuit, come give this a shot. I also tried the Hash Bowl, which was a bit underwhelming. It was a *lot* of potatoes compared to the eggs and bacon bits, and there wasn't a lot of seasoning other than the bacon. Would rather recommend one of the other options if you end up visiting. The drinks are good as well, would recommend the matcha latte (not too sweet!) and the French Press coffee.

The chicken was alright, but I wouldn't say it was the best I ever had, let alone consider it the world's best. This joint is located in the lower hub, but I believe there's also an outside street entrance. Upon entering, we were told to sit anywhere. The interior is rather dim, and it wasn't super clean as there were still some crumbs on our table from the last people who dined there. There is also a very casual feel to the place, exemplified by the fact that food is served on styrofoam plates and paper trays. FOOD: 2-Piece Dark (Thigh & Leg) (4/5) - Chicken was nice and crispy, but nothing crazy special to me. I was expecting it to be spicier. Liked it more with the Louisiana hot sauce on the table. The chicken rests on a slab of white bread and is served with average slaw and sweet baked beans. Fried Okra (3.5/5) - First time having fried okra. Not bad, and I guess frying it eliminates the slimy texture associated with okra. SERVICE: I am not usually one to complain about service. The person who served us was sweet when we did interact, but it was so hard to get their attention to order and get the bill. But beyond that, the kitchen was noticeably SLOW. My brother and I literally only ordered one plate/portion to share since we wanted to try more places, but it took over half an hour to receive our food. They do emphasize that food is cooked to order, but I still found the wait to be baffling. TLDR// Come here or don't, but if you do, make sure you are not on a time crunch. Maybe I am just being harsh because I was expecting more from a place claiming to have the world's best.
