This is a cute - very Brooklyn-esque spot. We opted for outdoor seating. Their plates and glasses were all very unique and cute. The service was pretty decent. We got the sprinkled octopus which was pretty good. It was cooked and seasoned nicely. For my main I got the mafalde with lamb ragu. I did really enjoy this dish, the pasta was cooked nicely and the lamb ragu was not too gamey but had good flavor. The portions were not super generous but expected of Brooklyn restaurants. For drinks I got the Negroni sbagliato - maybe I just didn't order to my taste but didn't love this drink. It quite bitter and didn't really work for me. Decent place but the prices are quite high for the quality and quantity of food.

The ambiance felt upscale because the decor was beautiful. There were fresh flowers and the bar was very pretty. They specialize in natural wines so the waiter gave us a wine wheel tool to help us select one. I went with a larger group and we had the private room, which has a requirement of each person spending $65 but the room itself does not have a reservation fee. The food took a while to get to us, potentially because of group size, and when it did, the portions were smaller than expected. Because I had an appetizer I was full. Overall, the pasta I got was delicious and I would come by again now that I have realistic expectations.

My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary at Have & Meyer in one of their private rooms. We had such a lovely evening!! The food was delicious. The table decor was stunning. And all of our friends came up to us after dinner to mention how kind all the staff was. We just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

I celebrated my birthday at Have & Meyer in their private room, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Shoutout to Wendy who handled the décor and made the table look stunning. From start to finish the whole team was so warm, accommodating, and attentive. The food and wine were delicious, and the intimate atmosphere made the night feel extra special. They truly took care of everything and made it such a relaxing yet fun experience.

went here for a birthday and thought the decor and vibe was really cute!!! tbh loved the apps - prosciutto, octopus, pastas were good but nothing spectacular imo. it's a nice place to host a large party as you can get drinks and byo cake.

Romantic and vibrant Italian dinner spot! The candlelight, wood features, and Polaroid pictures make for such a cozy vibe. There is ample outdoor and indoor seating, including a bar. There is also a big secluded room for parties. The staff was swift, friendly, and had great recommendations. We started with some orange wine. There was such an overwhelming wine list, something for everyone . We got the salad and burrata with prosciutto as appetizers. The salad was fresh and flavorful with green apple and beets. The burrata and prosciutto were such high quality, worth the price! The bread that comes with it is rustic and authentic. For mains we all got pasta dishes. They were all obviously fresh pasta cooked to perfect al dente. They were all delicious, would go for the carbonara if we had to pick just one. Worth the price in our opinions as this is an expensive bowl of pasta. The portion did not disappoint either. Save room for the tiramisu!!! It was some of the best have ever had and my brother lived in Italy for a while. Was perfectly sweet and bitter with espresso. Not too soggy. Perfection Can't wait to come back here

Great ambiance at have & Meyer. It's like walking into a bistro meets a garden meets your grandmother who's a hoarder living room. All in a very good way. Lots of little klitche designs, wine and liqour bottles all over ( and they serve a purpose you pick a bottle off the wall). The service is excellent they know their wines and mixed drinks. They'll let you try so you can find what you want. It's a very cozy place w a heated and covered outside patio too. Tried a nice Italian full bodied red as well as nice minerallly white . Has olives w roasted tomatoes as well as honey apples and blackbert Camembert cheese. Highly recommend this place if your in Brooklyn

The Highlights: * Polpo (Octopus): This was the standout for me. The octopus was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of saltiness and it paired beautifully with the creamy potatoes underneath. A very well-balanced dish. * Salad: Sometimes simple is best. The greens were incredibly fresh and the dressing was light and balanced--not overpowering at all. * Classic Tomato Spaghetti: You can always judge an Italian place by its red sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, staying true to the traditional Italian style. It was simple, fresh and deeply satisfying. * Chicken Dish: The chicken was surprisingly tender and juicy. It's often a basic choice but they executed it perfectly here. Overall: Naked Dog offers a cozy atmosphere with food that feels both elevated and comforting. Whether you're a fan of seafood or classic pasta, you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely be coming back!

There is local artwork on the wall (for sale if that is your goal), there are dozens of seats between couches, tables and even an old wooden desk from the 1930's. Both were rich and dark, and came in a nice porcelain cup. We appreciate the small touches, because coffee in paper cups is just not as tasty. Ambiance: 5/5. The decor is perfect for creative types looking for remote work locations. Plush couches, small high top tables with bankers lights, and a few long coffee tables makes this place ideal for work or socializing. The noise level on a Sunday afternoon was muted, but it might be louder during weekdays. Value: 5/5. The prices are well below market value for Greenpoint, about $1-$2 less than other coffee bars. And they have so many mocktails under $10! Wow it's like 2018 in here!

Bouquet is a small business that hasn't promoted much on Instagram or Eater, so it seems to have gone under the radar. I'm hoping I can do it justice as the first reviewer on this platform. We stumbled upon Bouquet during a mini bar crawl in Greenpoint. We initially planned to hit a few spots, but ended up settling in here for most of the night. We were mostly served by Eric who I believe was the owner operator. He's a NYC native who is super passionate about wine. The wine bar focuses on natural wines and other wines which emphasize minimal additives. The goal here seems to be to sell from producers who try to capture magic in a bottle. The wine list is three pages, so it's long but still approachable. There are about ten wines available by the glass. I started with a Montelpuciano. I sampled a bit and found it to be gassy and funky. The bartender was receptive to my feedback and made another recommendation - a different wine from the Loire Valley. The second option was more of what I was looking for. It was a more structured wine with a more traditional palate. I decided to eventually circle back to the Montelpuciano for my second glass. I'm stubborn and like to give a different flavors a chance to grow on me. I'm a person who doesn't like blue cheese but continually tries it just to make sure. The aroma of this wine was minerally. The best description I have is an Iron adjacent smell. Almost like blood but not the same. The flavor was earthy and rooty. It was the best part of the wine. It had a short finish. I'm no wine expert, but I can tell I was tasting something special. The last time I had wine like this was at a wine making competition. I also tried some of the wine on draft. It was an easy going wine that you could easily have a few of. We didn't have any food, but it seemed like the signature of the menu was their smash burgers. They also had some small bites like fries, cheese, olives, charcuterie, and salads. The other big items were schnitzel and the Rigatoni Alla Vino. The operator said the Rigatoni was an ode to a dish from Don Peppe's - a locals' favorite Italian restaurant in Queens. The space is welcoming. It part of the new wave of wine bars that aren't stuffy. It's about trying fun and experimental wines. Young stuff. Not necessarily hawking out for carefully aged vintages. It's fun and the team is very hospitable. Music is what I'd expect from a Queens local. Lots of 90s and 2000s hip hop. Playlist was filled with A Tribe Called Quest, Talib Kweli, and Common. They have some big speakers and turntables for vinyl records. They had a new record from Future which I suppose is something to boost for audiophiles. Acoustics here were as good as any listening lounge that we've been to in NYC. Entertainment wise, they have some board games behind the bar. No TVs inside the bar, but they have a projector in the backyard which can be used for special events. Two gender neutral restrooms. The one I used was handicap accessible. There is a step to enter the establishment, but they have a button to press in order to request assistance with entry. Good luck to Bouquet! They'll certainly be my go to for wine in Greenpoint.
