I love Yelp reviews!... a previous customer wrote a helpful review of this place that happened to be about the exact same situation I was in. When Sea-doo stopped making their jet boats, I couldn't find anyone other than where I bought the boat (2.5 hr drive from my home) to fix or maintain my Sea-doo 150 Speedster jet boat. Due to multiple circumstances, the boat unfortunately sat trailered and unused for the past 7 years, and definitely needed a refresh & couple of replacement parts before it was ready for the river again. So, no surprise I was SUPER excited and thankful to find Arteen and his shop, (especially only being a quick drive into Escondido)! He is very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. I have a 2004 Yamaha FX140 that has been idle for some time. I took it to Mission Bay to see how it ran. It was only able to get up to 30-34 MPH. On the way home I stopped by Havasu Powersports to see if I could get some answers on the poor performance. Arteen, the owner asked me a few questions, then recommended, new plugs, air filter and to drain some excess oil from the engine. I did all that he recommended, and can now say it runs like a brand new machine! Without question I would recommend Havasu Powersports if you need your PWC running as it should. Every once in a while in life as a consumer you come across a business that has just nailed "it." Where the product is beyond expectation, and the service is just as amazing. HW, is one of those businesses. I don't want to come across as being cheesy, but these guys are amazing. I've got two two-smoke jet skis that I care for and tend to with lots of TLC but there are times when only a shop can help. After trying several "reputable" shops around San Diego, they all failed me, miserably. They were either understaffed, underskilled, and/or overpriced. I have unfortunately learned some tough lessons searching around for one. About a year ago, I was out on mission bay and noticed this guy with a truck with Havasu Watercraft logo on the door, meticulously loading and unloading various ski's and testing them 1x1. I didn't pay much attention at the time, but that guy (who I now know as Brandon) was out there for hours tuning these jet ski's. Well for one reason or another, I remembered their name after a "reputable" shop left me in a terrible position, and in my last ditch effort to get my Jet Ski's before hanging up the wetsuit, I googled them and found them. I drove out to their shop for more or less to get my eyes on their operations to see if this would be someone I would give my babies to and of course money. From the moment I walked in, one of the employees Austin, was just absolutely amazing with answering all my questions giving me advice and going way out of his way to make sure I got what I needed. I knew from the answers he was giving me that these guys were in it for the Love of it, and not just the quick buck. So I decided to give it a go. They were very honest and forthcoming about everything that was wrong with my ski(s) they also explained that they are cautious when dealing with 2 stroke owners as (many) do not give them the care that they require and often get them for cheap and think a couple bucks will get them running. They did an initial inspection and gave me an honest quote. I put my faith in these guys AND THEY DID NOT DISSAPPOINT! Holy sh%& they have repaired and tuned the living heck out of my ski's. For the quality of work, they charge a very fair rate (it ain't cheap, but you get what you pay for) Want cheap, you'll find tons of them on CL who will gladly take your money and leave you begging for a tow to shore. HW made it clear they are more concerned with quality vs.quantity, and they weren't lying. Turn around time was about 2 weeks which included tuning on water, it would've been sooner but there was a few rain days. I could go on a write a novel about this business, their owner and employees and the passion they have in their craft but to save time. STOP WASTING YOUR TIME, AND CALL THEM UP NOW. You will not be disappointed. My only fear is that this is a somewhat small operation, and it would be challenge to scale such a quality infused service like this, so I hope that hold on to what they are doing because it truly very special. Much kudos to them for what they have managed to bring to the market and I wish them all the success that they can handle. 5 stars all the way around! if I could give 6 I would. read more

Brought my Superjet to Brandon with what I thought (or maybe prayed) was simple carb issues, turns out both the sleeves on my BB760 cut loose.. New top end needed. As it turns out, The company that built the motor is taking care of the issue.. But it took me 3 weeks to get to that conclusion, and I'm impatient so I bought a new 781. Brandon put that bad boy in like a pro! I'm picky as hell on aesthetics, and luckily for me..So is Brandon. He did it exactly how I would do it (if I knew what the hell I was doing) Price was more than reasonable and he's a great guy to deal with. Highly recommend!!!! read more

I recently bought an old 1996 Yamaha Wave runner, but when I took it out on the water for the first time it would die when I hit the throttle. I took it to Brandon at Havasu Watercraft and he immediately said I would have to do a carb rebuild. After a couple phone calls it seemed like there were plenty more problems that the previous owner tried to fix themselves but failed miserably. I paid a little bit more for all these fixes but it was definitely worth it. Brandon even took the time to fine tune the ski even after I had paid for it, making sure it sounded just perfect. I took it out on the water a couple times last week and the ski was running very smoothly. I'm not that mechanical when it comes to PWC's but it's comforting when you deal with a place like Havasu Watercraft. read more

These guys are the "GO TO" guys when you need work on your personal watercraft. They don't think like your typical service/parts shop employees. They know exactly what they are working on, stand behind their work, and will be very straight forward with you about what you ACTUALLY need. I was able to bring by my old 2 stroke bombardier seadoos which they did a wonderful job on and even pointed out a few easy things I could do myself which ending up saving me a lot of money. Rock Star Service! Brought in my 2008 RXT which had been sitting for 2 years and had a dead battery despite my best efforts to trickle charge it. Brandon changed the battery, drained the old smelly gas, did an oil change, changed out some spark plugs and add some lube where needed. I took it out on Mission Bay yesterday and it performed like a champ. I will be back. Great place for repairs or parts. Brandon custom built my 1996 blaster as a sport spec race ski. Every time I have it out I get a few people coming up telling me how great my blaster is. He did a better them expected build. He also maintains my wife's ski and does all my repairs. Never had a bill be more than he estimated it at. I found this place because I was tired of taking my 1998 Yamaha Wave Runner to the bigger dealer places and always being told that I had several hundred dollars of repairs that must be made in order to get my wave runner working properly. I found this place on yelp and thought that I would try it out. I called and talked to the owner Brandon on the phone and after talking with him I felt very comfortable that I could trust him. He said that he would diagnose the problem free of charge and then let me know what it is and what it would cost before even working on anything. I took my wave runner in and he called me a few days later with great news. It only needed a new battery, plugs, and for the fuel to be drained since it had been sitting for a few years. Best of all, his prices were much lower than what they would charge you at FBC or another big place like that. I will never go to another place because Brandon was so honest and gave personal attention to me and my ski. I left there feeling very good about what little money I had to spend to get my wave runner back and running. I could not have been happier with my entire experience.
