We had a long week of rides planned, but our rear tires showed cord and we don't ride unsafe. We scrambled to find tires and a shop to install them, but EVERYONE was closed except DWS. They were only working a half day on Christmas Eve, but Tom came in early to get our tires on and put us back in the road! Tom was extremely knowledgeable, talking to us about our saddlebags and fuel overflow issues. We'll definitely be back for maintenance and upgrades on our bikes! read more

Fantastic customer service, fast and efficient work, great vibes. This shop is amazing. From the get-go the customer service was the best I've ever experienced at a motorcycle shop. Sandy, at the front desk, is polite and helpful and doesn't at all make me feel like I'm inconveniencing her (my typical experience, elsewhere). I recently replaced my sprockets and chain, brought it in same day, was given a time estimate of 1.5 hours, I decided to stick around, Sandy pointed me to a lunch spot just up the street and sent me with a bottled water (it was a very hot day), Tom finished in under an hour, and boom, awesome. Tom recommended that I replace my front tire soon and did so without me feeling pressured. He showed me what tires they normally keep in stock and talked through the differences and what he would recommend for my riding style. I returned about a month later and had the exact same experience as my first time with the shop. Sandy was polite and professional. We chatted and joked about their squeaky floors. I ate lunch up the road, again, while I waited. Sandy even submitted the rebate form for the tires online for me :) , Tom had the tires on in probably less than 45 min. I brought my motorcycle to this "mechanic" which was a big mistake!! I needed a valve adjustment done The work was done unprofessionally and caused more damage. I have this bike from day one, bought it band new from the dealer. He was the first mechanic to touch it, and now I have damage on... The camshaft , he put USED shim and when he installed it back he didn't adjusted it good. To top that - the timing chain was jumping!!! Took my Triumph Street Triple in for a valve check and brake fluid change. No complaints. Also took it in for a charging system issue. I have been going to dws for years on end now. have done too ends with them, tires, and I always go in to ask for safe and reliable opinions and options for my bike. Recently got a nail in tire went to Sandy and she said Tom can help you! Im young so don't wanna spend hundreds on a tire (when I thought it was 50-60%) Tom recommended tubeless glue that advertises to patch nails and also said he cannot guarantee it, walked me through easy installation. He also recommended replacement of new tire because tread was 20-30% life. This provided me with easy option and the risks of each option. He also provided me with proper tread inspection. So earlier this year I purchased a used 1997 seadoo GSX, and a 1998 Seadoo XPL. Both skis ran, but they both also needed some work. I purchased these skis knowing full well that they would need to be gone through by the years end. They weren't/aren't cheap salvaged skis but they are 20 year old 2 strokes and aren't immune to the nuances that comes with them. My gsx runs fine, but needed some bits and Bob's done to it, nothing mechanical. My XPL had a fuel flow issue where I felt that it would be best to get it in to an "expert" to not only go through the carbs, but the entire ski and while at it gok through the GSX front to back as well. DWS was recommended to me by a friend who uses them for his bike and said that they do solid work. I was prepared to pay whatever (reasonable) to get them up to speed, and wasn't being a cheapo as I understand the cost and time it takes to work on these. I explained this to Tom, and when they gave me the quote I didn't even raise an eyebrow at the cost, it wasn't a deal by any means but I felt it was an honest price for the work guaranteed. Both Tom and Sandy were a joy to deal with initially. I informed them that if they weren't able to get the ski's done in the next week that I would be leaving out of town so please do not rush through them, it was very important to me that they took their time and did a thorough job. Tom explained to me that he was swamped and was having difficulty finding a dependable and reliable shop tech, and the new guy he was struggling with as he was missing little things that he otherwise would have corrected on clients machines. (That should've been my cue to abort), I didn't. :( I specifically remember asking over and over if there was ANYTHING that he saw in his inspection on either ski's that I should be aware of. My 1999 GSX ran flawlessly, as expected as it always has. My XPL, which is my baby out of the two is a completely different story. I hopped on it ski island, and headed towards fiesta to meet up with some friends there. I gave it a good 5-10 minutes of putting around to let it warm up, and progressively gave it more throttle as I headed towards fiesta and the long no-wake stretch. By the time I got thru the no-wakw stretch I was stoked that it was operating as advertised. Did a quick lap, and then proceeded to do a fast lap and my ski died. It felt like someone pulled the battery cable and it just lost all power to a dead stop. Thinking it was impossible to have a dead battery as I had it on a tender since the shop, I called up Tom right there on the spot. He said to bring it to him to have a look. When I got it to him, he did some test and said that most likely the motor has seized! So after getting the bad news, I accepted that hey, I guess these things can happen. Tucked my tail between the legs, and headed home with a very expensive paper weight to weigh out my options. The one thing that stuck in my mind was, To said to me, Hey maybe you should just trade it in for a new one.....really? That's your response? So after deliberating with friends and browsing online I decided I would pull my motor and ship it to be rebuilt. While doing so, I found that Tom had not replaced all the old lines on my motor as I paid him to do, which also tells me he didn't go through this ski for ANYTHING that would be a red flag. When I asked him about it, he got very defensive and said that the grey tempo line with green crude leaking out of the hose and into the engine case was a VACUUM line and not a fuel line and then directed me to SBT. What reputable mech would recommend them as a first option? Now I'm not saying that line caused the failure, but it couldve. I'm not saying Tom caused my failure, but he could've. What I'm saying is he happily took my money, and did not do what he said and agreed he would do AND my motor quit 30 minutes after leaving his care, coincidence, sure anything is possible, but what really made my mind up on this review is how He responded when his work was threatened. Instead of saying at let me break it down for you and see what happened, he tapped danced and tried to put the blame on an old ski. Instead of looking for a way to find a amicable solution, he did his best to wipe his hands clean. read more

Best mechanic I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with Tom took the time and explained why it's important to do oil changes regularly and air filters he pulled off my seat while I was there to see my air filter falling and explained how to clean and oil Properly so I-don't destroy the motor. I came here on Friday, October 12, 2018 at around 13:00. Thanks to the power of Yelp reviews and Google reviews, you are all right on bringing your motorcycles in here. I was greeted by Tom when I came in. I told him that my Yamaha R3 needed new tires especially the rear. I had previously patched it and it leaked in 3-4 days and it was leaking badly. I also asked Tom to do an oil change and lube the chains. He told me that it would be done at the end of the day. However, I had to go and do my volunteer work so I was not able to pick it up on the same day. It was a bummer that they do not open on Saturday either so the bike was at the shop until Monday. I got a call around 1030 to pick up my bike. I picked up my bike and it was done. I do not know what kind of tires they are (I am more of a car enthusiast), but they were good. It was some Dunlop tires. He also checked all the fluids and ensure that everything was new and ready to ride. He did warn me that it was new tires to not go aggressive on a corner. I also bought chain lube cans so I can clean the chains every few weeks. The service was all for close to $400. I was happy with the service. After breaking in 100 miles of riding everywhere, I was able to feel more confident riding on turns. I also felt more confident after he provided me with some tips on motorcycle care. I am happy that I brought it here and did not ride with old tires as it rained and thunder that night. For those who have a motorcycle and need a shop, Tom and his crew did a great job maintaining my bike. I feel confident riding thanks to bringing it to his shop. read more

I've visited DWS about 3 times now, the first couple were just routine tire changes, both of which they were able to accommodate me same day. But the real reason I wrote this review is because of the last job I had Tom perform, a shift shaft replacement on my Triumph. Most shops in the area won't even breathe near a Triumph, let alone agree to work on it. Tom let me purchase my own parts, and I brought them to to the shop when my appointment time came. He had the shaft replaced within the day and I rode the bike home. Let me tell you, that repair job was no joke, and I'm glad I found someone with the mechanical chops to perform such a task. I was really upset when I just bought a brand new 2020 Sea Doo and found myself at fiesta island where it took in a rock and my fun time was haulers on Sunday! Tom performed the 12k miles maintenance on my 2004 Triumph Daytona 955i. He was meticulous with the work and let me source out my own parts to save a few bucks. He did a thorough inspection of the bike and told me maintenance items that needed to be addressed such as tires. But he also mentioned that my valve clearances needed no adjustment and were towards the maximum tolerances and that I probably would not need the valves adjusted at the 24k interval. I don't know to many mechanics telling me you don't have to come back and give me more money. Tom has extensive experience working with the big motorcycle shops in town and he has all the equipment needed even to mount tires and balance. After 3 attempts to have my YFZ450 carb cleaned and tuned by a so called expert, I gave up and took it to Tom. Before he even took it apart he told me what the most likely issue was, carb was reassembled incorrectly. Sure enough it was, so while there he rejetted it for the pipe I had on there and got everything dialed in for my Thanksgiving trip to the desert. I was so impressed I gave him my second quad to do clean the carb and adjust the valves. Tom is not only knowledgeable, honest but turns things around very quickly.
