Sur Ron X Lite Bee
Scott F.

Probably the easiest going shop I've worked with ever. Went in after seeing a Facebook post about having Sur Ron's in stock. Drove in and checked them out on the floor. Asked a few questions and a quick swipe of the Credit Card later and I'm out the door.

D606 with the mouse bib

I cannot tell you how pleased I am with Steve and his crew at C & D Cycle Center. I had my Dirtbike serviced there recently (350 EXC-F). They ordered and mounted a steering stabilizer and changed out my tires with some mousse bibs and fresh rubber. Pricing, parts and labor very reasonable and the quality of the work phenom. Turn around time so quick! Their attention to detail solid (they added some spacers to my bark buster mounts at no cost to account for the stabilizer). -Brett

New Intense Tazer Pro MX

I just purchased a killer Intense Tazer pro from C and D. Steve ( the owner) helped me out immensely. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He even charged up the battery for me ,I was able to hit the trails right away. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great service and a comfortable atmosphere to purchase anything from Dirt bikes to E bikes! Thanks again Steve!

Picking up the bike after repairs!

My brand new 2015 Suzuki Vstrom 650XT was hit within a week of purchasing the bike (55miles on the ODO), 100% the other drivers fault. I was traveling at 30mph and got rammed at a 45degree angle. The bike went down and slid a good distance. The bike was purchased at Fun Bike but I honestly don't trust their service department after hearing personally horror stories. I took the bike to C&D upon recommendation from my cousin. Steven found damage I even missed on the bike. He worked with the insurance company directly. Steve and crew worked fast to repair the bike to make it to brand new. I mean it, it looks fresh out of the crate with the .1 miles it had when purchased. Forget dealers... C&D gets my money moving forward!

I had just moved to San Diego and read great reviews for a shop down the street but when I go there…read morethey were out of space so I drove home and saw Clairemont on the corner and stopped in. They aren't very friendly like people have said but I'm more concerned with getting my bike tire replaced than pleasantries. I have loved my past cycle shops even when the guys were gruff. It's about the work first and foremost. Cut to a year later and I have found a great shop recommended by co-worker and I ask them why my rear tire only lasted 800 miles of very light commuting? It had metal bands showing! Turns out It was the wrong tire for my bike and was designed for smaller lighter bikes not my bigger touring bike. The load index matters more than you think! I think they sold me what they had on their shelf. I suppose its on me to know my load index but I can now say my new shop would make sure I got the correct tire because they are purist they would even go so far to tell me no If I showed up with wrong tire because they care most about doing quality work. Come to think of it I'm pretty sure they covered their butt's when they sold it to me saying something like "This is a sport tire and wont last as long", NO this tire is not rated for my bike and is a very bad idea. Prices were fair and work was done in reasonable time. So not a bad shop, but I want something more. And to reviews that say they have a great inventory, very suspicious those are real. They have NO inventory at all I remember like 10 tires on the wall, that should have been a warning.

Top notch customer service!…read more Bryce was awesome. He helped me with my tire purchase/service and afterwards saw me browsing gear. He was very in depth with his explanation of different ratings on each types of gear. You can tell he's very experienced with riding. I'm not sure if he's a manager, but if not, he needs a promotion Miguel at the front was outstanding as well. After my payment, he researched an oil filter for my bike. He had to do a little extra digging but found a good value for my KLR. Great customer skills They both went out of their way to make sure my questions were answered thoroughly about my products and services before purchase. I really appreciated their time. Highly recommend Cycle Gear!

After searching online first I drove down to this location although I'm 10 min away from San Marcos location because they had a bigger selection. I had a helmet in mind but once I got to the store I saw sooooo many other options. Liv was extremely knowledgeable about fit and helmet integrity which heavily influenced my purchase. Because my size was not in stock I was provided the option to have my helmet shipped to my home at no additional charge. It arrived within a week. The store also offers a wide selection of almost every riding product for all types of riders. I understand the challenge to staff for varying customer volume but I docked 1 star due to a long wait (I wasn't even acknowledged for at least 20 min) especially after coming from San Marcos. Just give yourself time if you will need personal assistance.

TWO WHEELS UP AND RUNNING (5 stars)…read more Mobile service to the rescue! I've called around and this one seemed the best and most responsive. There are simple jobs to be done for easy money but finding people willing to do it is the challenge! I am lucky Dridox provided mobile service and came to my home to take of services I need... call service ($75) battery replacement ($65 + $29 for battery) and oil change ($85) , maybe tank flush if it didn't start up after the battery replacement. This is what I get for letting my two wheels sit idle in the garage during the winter months collecting dust. I reached out, got a quote, and scheduled the service with Adriano. I had intentions to do this all myself but didn't have all the tools and would like to see it done first before taking a hand at it... also eager to ride and want these services done ASAP! Adriano arrived early/on time, charged my battery and tested it (def needed a new one), replaced my battery, hooked up my charger device (recently bought it and didn't know it's needed for maintenance), it started so I didn't need a tank flush, but went ahead with an oil change since I was overdue. I did tell Adriano I been nearby g to do this on my own so he did show me how-to and what tools and what to look for or be careful of, which I super appreciate his professionalism and expertise. My little two wheels was probably a cake walk to what he is use to servicing. Within the hour all was done. If bigger jobs need to be done such as engine rebuild - they do that too and can rack your two wheels to their shop. The business accepts credit cards, Venmo, and Zelle. The motorcycle shop that usually serviced my two-wheels for years stopped providing service and only to Surrons going forward... they gain some but lost a lot of the only tailor to only a specific kind. My choices were 1) Do the services myself 2) Tow it to Fun Bike Center and get it serviced 3) Fine a mobile service to do it. With the impatience of not riding and budget considered, mobile service was best especially when watching and learning to (maybe) do it in the future yourself. For any future assistance with my two wheel maintenance, I'll be giving them a call. I highly recommend their services.
