Just got my new KTM 390R from GP Motorcycles. I called Chris from my work on Tuesday from the San Fernando Valley 150 + miles away because I was blown away by all my local dealers basically saying that I was not get this bike. I've had nothing but great experiences with this dealership, both in sales and service. I purchased my 2025 Ducati Panigale V4S, Aprilia RS660, and Tuono 1100 factory here, and every experience has been smooth, professional, and enjoyable. The sales team is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about bikes. There was never any pressure--just honest advice and support to make sure I ended up with exactly what I wanted. What really sets this dealership apart is the owner Paul. Before an upcoming trip, I had to get my brake line fixed at the service department, he went out of their way to get my Ducati into service and take parts off a bike on the showroom floor in order to fix my bike before I left on a trip on short notice, which I truly appreciated. That level of care, urgency, and kindness is rare nowadays and doesn't go unnoticed. This is a dealership that stands behind their customers long after the sale. So me and my husband have been going to GP for years, and I wish I could give 5 stars. Paul is great; he's 5 stars, but the shop and the other employees are like a 1 star. I only gave 2 stars because Paul has been great. My husband bought an Aperlia from GP, and it was a good experience, but the guy who sold it to him barely showed him how it works. He was super rude and unfriendly. My husband came back, and Paul showed him everything and was nice, which made up for it. I am not the type to give low stars because I work in customer service, but I don't think this is fair. We have given this shop years and years of chances, and my husband is so loyal to them, yet they consistently treat us poorly. When we come to the shop, if we're not buying a bike and just want to get merchandise or other items, they are rude and ignore us, like we're just street rats. We experienced this again tonight. That is not fair because we literally bought a bike from them and might possibly buy another in the future. But because of this negative experience and the consistent poor treatment, we will not be buying from them in the future. We were even considering buying a Ducati, but now we will not. We will most likely go to BMW because of GP's poor customer service. It's really sad because they are a good company, but they just don't have good customer service at all. They only seem to care about people hanging around for a bike. They should care about people who have bought a bike in the past and who come consistently, but they clearly don't. We legit spent $15,000 at this shop over five years, and they act like we don't matter because we're not buying a bike every time we come in. My husband goes there all the time, and the employees are rude to him every time unless Paul is there. Without him, they ignore us and treat us poorly. They act like we're just lower than them or something, and I think that's insane. I really hope this review isn't overlooked because I'm sure other customers feel the same way, and we can't be the only ones, they just don't speak up. We really would have bought another bike from them because my husband is due for a new bike and possibly a Ducati, but because of this poor customer service, we will not be doing business with them in the future. I hope they change their ways and improve their service. Even if we're just buying a T-shirt, helmet, or jacket, it shouldn't matter. We could be coming back another time for a bike, and they should treat us equally. I think it's ridiculous that we get better treatment at Walmart and American Eagle than we do at a motorcycle shop where we spent $15,000. read more

Chris helped me with my purchase of my Duke 200. The very easiest motorcycle deal I've ever done. The Duke 200 is amazing, I took it to streets of willow. Everyone said it would be to slow, let me tell you it is not. The bike might be underpowered, but it breaks amazing , the chassis is solid and the suspension is neutral ( not a pogo ). I am an experienced adult rider. I went to GP Motorcycles (with my wife, the Financial Department) to check out a used Moto Guzzi Mandello S the dealer had advertised. I was greeted by the salesman in the wheelchair (sorry, I don't believe he gave me his name). He asked if he could help me. I replied that I was interested in the Mandello S and would like to take it for a short test ride. With a condescending attitude, the salesman said, "I'll let you take it for a test ride only if you're going to buy it right now." I couldn't believe the rude, arrogant response. I own 10 motorcycles. I've test ridden everyone of them before buying them. Several were from dealerships and a couple were from private sellers. In every case, I had thoroughly researched each motorcycle before deciding I was interested enough to take a test ride and potentially make a purchase. I don't want to waste my time or the dealer's time. I don't believe in joy riding their motorcycles - I can make a decent evaluation in a very short test ride. However, this salesman's demeanor stunned me. I replied, "I don't know what crazy world you live in, but I don't ever buy a motorcycle without riding it beforehand. I am not going to promise to buy it before I see it and ride it." He spun around and wheeled away making a derogatory comment as he rolled into the showroom. My wife was shocked. I made a personal pledge to NEVER set foot on that property again. I sold my other Moto Guzzi that I had had serviced there previously so that I would never have to do business with such a dealership ever again. I expect good customer service for my money. If you can't deliver the most basic definition of good customer service, you will not get my money - and I will let everyone know about my experience in order to save them from a similar encounter. read more

I'm so disappointed with this place. I recently moved to San Diego and took my motorcycle in for its first oil change. A week after the oil change, the bike started having issues. First, there was an oil leak from a loose hose. I took it back and they told me it was normal. Then, a strange noise started coming from the engine--it sounded like it was knocking when I started it. Apparently, it was a damaged cylinder in my 2022 Hypermotard 950 with 7,000 miles. I decided to take it back for a diagnosis. The motorcycle was at GP Motorcycle for about a week. They kept calling me almost every day saying they needed more hours of work. When I went to the shop to check on the bike, it hadn't even had an hour of work done. They had only removed the seat and a few parts of the body, leaving it partially exposed. I decided to take it elsewhere. I ended up paying GP Motorcycle $1,032 for doing absolutely nothing, and I never really found out what was wrong with the bike. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL--they're just after your money. read more

My first visit Paul was helpful and to the point. That visit didn't result in a purchase but about a year later they had the same model I've been watching for with better mods at a better price. I drove in to pick up a rear wheel for the Multistrada and the two employees who helped me were very kind and efficient. I took some time to look around and while I didn't buy anything extra, I did think that I'd like to come back on my next trip to SD and take my time exploring the floor and racks. Since I was in a bit of a hurry on the day I came in, I didn't get a chance to get the full experience, but from what I saw, I was happy and impressed. Although I didn't buy my KTM 390 today, I have to say I still had a very nice experience. Hugo helped us out from the minute we arrived. I let him know that I would be purchasing a bike in the near future and wanted some tips on the best one for me. I'm 5'1 almost 5'2. So I really need a bike that I can reach the ground! And something not so heavy. Hugo recommended the KTM 390. I loved the orange and white colors. Bright is exactly what I want since I want to stand out in traffic. I hopped on and I could reach the ground with my tip toes. He let me know they do supply a lowering kit to help with the bike as well as seat adjustments and the front forks being able to be lowered. Hugo was awesome. Although he mentioned he was a parts salesman, he know his motorcycle 411! Pretty cool and mellow dude. Thanks for the great experience! read more

Huge L experience here. Bought a 2020 1290 Superduke R here when the bike released. Didn't even ship to the shop in one piece. This shop stepped on my air box during a warranty recall said nothing to my face then jank sealed it. (Supposedly all the info was in the invoice but no one mentioned their was a crack in my air box to my face) Once I got a full exhaust somewhere else they pointed it out. I have been going here for two years. If you don't take apart your bike and are spending 500-1000 every time you see these guys go somewhere else or at least explore other options. You WONT be disappointed. Coming from a former 2 year customer at GP. No longer. Matt I called you back about the v clamps and left a voicemail to try and get them off you after you complained about the restocking fee when I didn't want them from GP. No response so now I'm tilted. You guys are swamped so I doubt this review will hurt the company but at least it's honest as fuck. Don't get me wrong you guys do good work sometimes, and have done some good work for me, but this is the end of the road for me. Wish I still had the air box for photo reference. Just want to acknowledge the awesome experience I had with GP Motorcycles when researching and purchasing my first Aprilia. Coming from Japanese bikes, I think it was pretty clear that my knowledge of the Aprilia brand was not exactly up to speed (OK I did watch a ton of Youtube videos to be fair to myself). Chris Curnen, the sales manager, patiently answered all of my questions (during two visits) and steered me in the right direction to what has turned out to be a bike I absolutely love. The first service, after my break in mileage had been completed, was performed while I enjoyed a couple cups of coffee down the street and the bike came out of the shop ready to put some serious miles on it and smelling better (yes, there is a smell that exists that is almost equal to the smell of a brand new motorcycle) than when it went in for sure. What do you guys use to wipe down the bikes? I need that! The owner Paul, Chris in sales, the administrative staff that handled my paperwork, plates, etc... , and the several service techs I interacted with were all professional, pleasant to deal with, and again, all too willing to answer any and all questions I threw their way. Take pictures of your bike before you bring it in. Better yet, do not go here. I brought my bike in for some work and when I picked it up the dash was cracked. The bike sat there for almost 4 months and I spent $3500. They have absolutely no documentation indicating there was damage to the dash upon receipt of the bike. I was with the service guy when he checked the bike in. I recall vividly when he did the walk around. He looked right at the dash to note the mileage. If it was cracked he would have taken note at that time. It's a huge crack and an eye sore. Also, this is my bike so I'd know if the dash was cracked. Any rider would. Even with the documentation indicating no damage, they valued the word of the technician over mine?! Basically calling me a liar. In fairness, they offered to pay for half the dash. I had a great experience in purchasing a brand new motorcycle here. However when I went for my first service, and he wanted to add LED turn signals, things broke down. There was lotta miscommunication back-and-forth of them not knowing that I had already purchased the LED signals previously and also the headlight protector. Had I not kept following up I would've dropped off the motorcycle and gone back and had just serviced instead of having the LED signals inside Particularly concerning was that when I purchased the bike I have an upgraded horn installed along with a quick change out of the mirrors. Both of which very simple jobs. When I arrived for the service they told me they somehow forgot to charge me months ago when I purchased the motorcycle and I still owe them $160 for installing the mirrors that are very easy to install, and the horn that again was a basic installation in place of the stock one. I asked them to install another switch to which they told me we could do it with two hours labor so it would be $240, but they can't guarantee it would work. They told me I would have to pay the $240 even if it did not work properly. As they called me to tell me that the service has been complete and that I was going to owe over $600, hi again question the $160 that I somehow was not charged for when I purchased the motorcycle. The attitude of the service department was very disappointing. No concept of customer service like there was in the main show room area. I might buy another motorcycle from this company but I will never have anything service because the prices are very high I called around throughout the day asking how much it would've been to install it at three different other shops and all of the prices were half as much. Very disappointed, I asked them to remedy this he said he would not I told him that I would have no choice but to just basically not come back there and he said that was fine... live and learn... read more

I was in the market for my first motorcycle and I knew I wanted a panigale V2. Out of all the dealers I went to, these guys were straight up and made the process fast and easy. Got me into exactly what I wanted for what felt like a steal! Not only was their customer service great but you could really feel the love for Ducatis from the people working there. Went in to check out a bike at GP Motorcycles after being highly recommended by one of the groups I ride every weekend with. I came in with high expectations and they were not only met but exceeded. You can tell every employee at GP enjoys their job and the work environment. I emailed back and forth with Paul the owner over the weekend since they are closed Sunday and Monday. He replied back within 5 minutes of my initial email and got some basic information from me. I told him I'd be in the next day they were open and he said to come on down. When I arrived I was greeted by Rafael. I explained what I was looking for and that I wanted to trade a bike in. Rafael showed me the bike and ran some of the information from my trade in. He came back with the numbers, and they were beyond fair. None of the bikes in this dealership have an additional dealer markup (ADM) like 99.9% of the other dealerships in San Diego County. It is up front pricing and crystal clear. The amount I got for my trade in was spot on with what I was hoping for. The transaction was quick and efficient. Rafael is super knowledgeable and passionate about motorcycles. This is one of the best experiences I have ever had at a motorcycle dealership and I will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Ordered and accessory and waited for almost 2 months for it to arrive and the available appointment for installation. Additionally needed scheduled maintenance and brought in another accessory to be installed. 3 days later got a call from maintenance staying to bike was ready to be picked up, follow by a call from parts that accessory was never in stack and they had no idea when it might be. Ended up paying $800 (6 hours of labor and some parts). Apparently take that long to do an oil change and to install on an accessory with 4 bolts assembly to the exposed frame on the bike. Bought 2 motorcycles from these guys and spent over $10K at the service over the years. read more
