I love seeing the boats by the harbor! It's like every time you go, the same boats aren't going to be there! This time I seen a super cute old school boat that just needed to be mine! The jet ski goes up to 50mph and it's just smooth sailing and the be amongst bigger boats is exhilarating. If you're not scared of the ocean, you will have a great time, just make sure you're always aware of your surroundings!

The guide had a very snarky attitude toward my group and another group. His explanation of how to operate the jet ski felt rushed, and when my friend asked a question, he responded rudely and acted like the answer should have been obvious. We simply asked what would happen if the jet ski flipped, since he mentioned that it was a possibility. His response was, "There are instructions on the bottom, don't let them sink." Not to mention he wore a hood the entire time, barely looked up at us, and had his back turned to us for basically the entirety of the 5 min introduction. I get that the talk is repetitive and I don't expect anything grand, but simple eye contact and a little bit of care in it would go a long way. Considering this was my first time on a jet ski, it would have been better to receive a response with more care, urgency, and clear safety guidance, especially when discussing the possibility of flipping a heavy machine in the middle of the bay. Although the views were beautiful and the ride itself was enjoyable I feel like that's to be expected, this is not an experience I would want to return to because of the poor quality of customer service and lack of care from the staff.

We arrived earlier than the appointment but Bentley was already there waiting for us! Since it was still chilly in the morning he patiently waited for us until the weather gets warmer. He also spent his own time driving another jet and teaching my daughter how to operate the jet properly and all the great tips. He made us feel safe and at the same enjoying the rides! We have been renting Jet Skis/SeaDoos for years and years. The machines are kept in great shape. The people that work here are awesome, including Sky. Rentals are easy. You book everything on line. Their website also answers just about any question you could possibly have. They are also lenient on time and don't nickel and dime you. The ride through the harbor is nice. You catch a glimpse here and there of dolphins and sea lions. There are always sea lions at the bouey once you get out of the harbor. You can take a loop from the Jetty to the Balboa and Newport Piers and back. This will take aabout an hour If you just cruise. Overall, I am a fan and then some!+

The staff was awesome and were very accommodating. We rented two skis for one hour. We had thought about renting for two hours and if we had more time, we would have! The staff went over all the rules, equipment, areas to ride, etc. handed out a few life jackets and we headed out. My son had never ridden one before, but is very familiar with boating and motorcycles. My daughter rode with me! We went out past the jetty and it was on!!! Riding in the ocean and warm water of Del Mar was awesome!! Catching air off waves was intense!! What a ride!! We even saw a total of 5 Dolphins off Del Mar beach! As our time was up, the staff was there waiting to pick us up and took care of us again. Great service!! Thank you Side notes/Recommendations: Don't ride near the shore off the Oceanside Beaches. If you're between the end of the pier and the beach, you're too close! We were warned by the patrol boat! Riding in the ocean, your hands/finger tips get numb. Might try some wake boarding gloves? Also, the salt water will constantly splash in your face and eyes, if you're having fun! If you have sunglasses, bring a strap, because you will lose them! I would almost recommend some sort of goggles instead!! And lastly, a few other other things. Get a Waterproof GoPro to record the ride and a waterproof case for your IPhone, ID's, Etc. The mini PX does no have them! Just go for it!!! It's worth the money!! Have fun enjoy the ride!! We will be back!! The only reason this is not 5 stars is the launch area is so far from the rental. You might be able to get a ride with staff, but prepare to follow them and park. Might need a hide a key, or risk taking the keys with you on the ride?

The local police towed in broken down ski. The workers could not give refunds, only voucher for another day. Good thing for credit cards, you can cancel charges. Could have just been the two that day, but military bases in other places I have gone require better service of their contractors. Thoroughly inspect everything before taking out a jet ski. It may have been better if they had included some rope in the storage bins too.
