We easily found parking which I hear is not always the case. We climbed to steps to the main entrance (although I heard there was an elevator, I didn't see it). It was all decked out for the 4th. We ordered drinks and the staff were friendly enough. They have a popcorn machine so we grabbed a scoop of popcorn and found seats outside. It was a beautiful day and we had a nice view of the harbor. There was a band playing and people were dancing, enjoying the holiday. Definitely a festive atmosphere. The have food that looks and smells good but we weren't hungry. It's not a "fancy" yacht club by any means but it is down home and welcoming and a great spot to grab a drink and a meal and socialize. I hope I'm invited back.

Everything was so easy from communicating with Captain John to arrange our outing to the actual outing. There was never an awkward moment. It was like sailing with longtime friends. Went out Sunday 9/20 on a full day trip with Captain Patrick and deckhand Julian, and it was one to…read moreremember. Bait out of Oceanside hasn't been ideal lately, but you'd never know it from our haul. Patrick worked his ass off hunting down kelp paddies and eventually put us right on a wide open yellowfin bite. We ended up with 30 yellowfin, 1 dorado and 2 skipjack on the boat! Julian was awesome all day, and the fresh poke he made for us on the ride was a total highlight. To cap it off, we went marlin hunting and had one chase our lures for a few minutes and actually hit, but it just wouldn't fully cooperate. Still an unreal thing to watch! Patrick and Julian are hard-working, knowledgeable, and fun to fish with. They went above and beyond to fill our freezers even with less than ideal live bait. The photos say it all: the full haul, plus the poke I made tonight from our catch. Can't wait to book again!

Went on a charter with Captain Patrick and his deckhand, Julian to experience local fishing off…read moreOceanside and a bit farther south. We initially got into some smaller Bonito while trolling and hit some keeper Calico bass. While fishing for yellow fin I happened to hook something that seemed very large and strong but did not display the normal fight of a tuna. Captain Patrick commented that it may be a White Sea bass. After a nice fight and some helpful guidance from the captain, I was able to land the beast. It was huge and it was too large for the boat's scale. Thus, the captain decided to have it weighed at the weigh station. With a little ingenuity, my buddies son, Robert was able to get the scale working and lo and behold the White Sea bass was a whopping 66.5 pounds. Talk about a fish of a lifetime!!! A great day was had with Captain Patrick and Julian. They put us on the fish and worked hard to ensure it was a successful and fun experience. I would fish with those two any day of the week!! Thanks for an awesome trip!!

Captain Gene did a great job getting us out to sea and sailing! We were spoiled with fresh fruit and drinks. We Brought our own champagne and he served it to us in their champagne flutes. He played all of my husband's favorite yacht rock songs. This was an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable time. We were smiling all the way back to our vacation property.
